Yeah, you are not wrong. A mad naked, a super distance destroyer in the SX and a mad track bike. I;d get a 900RS for the hop on stuff and be one happy man :) Ade
Hi Ade. Thanks very much for this review. I've also being enjoining your content on the Dragster, so much so that I've subscribed to your channel. In terms of handling, how do you find the Z H2 compared to your dragster. I have a Z H2 and am considering getting a Dragster. But am wondering whether they will be too similar. Appreciate your thoughts on this. Many thanks!
Hi Derek, thanks you for your kind words. The bikes are completely different. Bit like a Nascar vs an F1 car. For me, I bought the Dragster RR due to the rawness, looks, lightness, aggression, quickshifter, sound and its speed up to about 90mph. The Z H2 cannot compete with any of these except the speed IF you are in the right rev range. Conversely, the Z H2 is super smooth, very comfortable and have effortless speed mid to high revs and some excellent technology. I;d get one in addition too if I could. Both so different. You'd choose the MV for the fun 30 minute blast and the Kawasaki for the less frenetic, longer runs. Ade
@@RevMonkey Ade. appreciate you taking the time to write a very detailed and thoughtful reply. You are right - ideally I would have both and may end up doing that. Cheers! Derek
Yeah, it has a paint job similar to that of the H2 Superbike. Almost mirror finish. Looks amazing and who can get a Kawasaki without the green bits anyway! :) Ade
Have to say i do miss riding bikes these days. You would have to exercise a fair bit of throttle discipline methinks. Bit quicker than the old ZZR1100 ( which i thought was rapid).
Yeah, in Road it is very fast and not for beginners. In Sport with the tech off.. I think Marquez would struggle to stay alive :) Epic bike in all reality. Ade
I hope this is selling well as I think this is a cracking bike and you have to admire Kawasaki for even offering a range of supercharged bikes. Does the supercharger make it a winner as there are no real rivals?
I have seen a few on the roads. It ticks a lot of boxes for those looking for speed with comfort. Very well made bike. I suspect it appeals to people more my sort of age. No rivals, no. There are other FAST bikes but the delivery of a supercharge is unique. Ade
To me - this bike is much better looking and sexier than the SX model. I would stick a bigger screen on it when I was going on a longer journey. Okay, ideally, i would have both but I prefer the torque delivery on the Z H2. Ade
Ha, Yes. That bike scared me as I went into the top mode too quickly and I was not riding fast bikes back then. This bike was a beauty from the start. I put it into Sport briefly and, yep, there was the BEAST - too fast for roads. Ade
Me too. You can feel the weight but it works for you and not against you - hard to describe really. It is not a hustle sort of bike so I believe it is a different prospect to the Super Duke R or my Dragster RR. Ade
I haven't riden the non-Akra version. It did sound decent. The Performance pack is 1k extra and you also get a sole seat cowl, bigger front windscreen and a tank grip so overall I would always get this myself. it will sell better too. Ade
Not a fan of the exhaust. Can just looks huge. I went Brocks full penta carbon exhaust on mine. Waiting to really wake up the bike when an ECU flash comes out. I ride in rider mode Full power no traction control and still get bored with the bike.
Good choice on the can - standard and even the Akra add-on are huge! You must be one mean ass biker :) I wouldn't and didn;t get anywhere near the performance of this Z H2. Great fun getting up to speed. Very comfy. Impossible to fault the bike. Maybe you need a bike more character that feels fast, as in an Italian stallion - an older one (as the new ones are over-teched) Ade
Ha, well, that is racing on track of course. Like most high tech motorcycles these days, the bike is a sweet little pussycat in the lower modes in lower revs. However, at higher revs in Road it is a licence killer so you have to bre really careful. In Sport.... well. Ha. No thanks. I am too old for that shizzle. :) Ade
This will slay a super duke in a straight line. It's that mental. Get ecu flashed and you will get 240 hp at the back wheel . No Super duke can compete with that.
Ha, nobody can argue a case for it. It is kinda nice to know it is there but, of course, yes it is rather silly. I doubt you could get anywhere near the top speed of this thing on most tracks even. The torque though is the real deal. Ade
True. Hideous exhausts on nearly all bikes (and cars) these days due to ridiculous but well meaning compliance. First thing I would do is stick an aftermarket can on. Ade
Yeah, these new Euro5 compliant exhausts are a joke. I'd get the whole system removed and put something small on. Ruining the look of the bikes but the aftermarket exhaust companies are probably laughing all the way to the bank. Ade
I like this bike. Better looking than people initially gave it credit for.
It looks great in the green.
Ade
This looks perfect for older riders who have had enough of bending over forward buggering up their back but still have a lust for power.
Spot on. Might be a bit much for newer or younger riders who would likely prefer what the Super Duke R or MT-10 brings to the table.
Ade
Great overview 👍 I’m not a big fan of the new gen exhaust designs but the supercharged Kawi line up is really impressive!
Enjoy the bike life

Ah, cool, it will be interesting to hear the difference.

The one with the green frame. The paint job also looked different. More glossy?

It does look comfy but why not just get an H2 SX touring version?

No,
Just grab a Zx10 muffler for cheap and bolts straight on, sounds perfect and saves a lot of weight with that oem look

Hoho, can't believe Sport mode scared you that much given you are now racing a bit. 😊

That exhaust can looks like a cannon!
Yeah, massive exhausts. I imagine a LOT of owners have put something a lot smaller on.

Ha, yeah, it can turn into a nightmare if you open this thing up fully! 😊

Greenham. Good place, amazing showroom.
Yep, they have a lot of bikes there.

Nice to see your face on videos 😝
What - this face? haha :)
I have the perfect face for radio!

It doesnt look that big to me, Not from the side anyway. The SX version looks big tho.
Yeah, never a fan of the looks of the H2 SX - I prefer this naked look. It does look less intimidating.
Ade
Bonkers, pointless on uk roads too fast...brilliant l want one!!😂😂
Ha, so true. :)
Ade
I’d loose my license first day out on that I’m afraid....!🤣
Ha, yeah, I bet somebody somewhere has done just that. :)
Ade
You can lose you licence on any modern bike
Looks like you didn't even get to 50 hp on that trip.
Ha, opened it up on the faster roads but on country roads your right wrist is your best friend. :)

One problem - super duke r!
Yeah, it is not as much fun as the KTM but perhaps aimed at a slightly more mature market.

200 hp - who the fuddle needs that on the roads?

Yep - I wonder how many owners have booted that exhaust into the bin where it belongs!
