Hi there, love this idea, i wonder are they actually drid but still soft? Or would they still be holding water? Im presently trying to use seaweeds in a under ocean resin painting, ive used them dry but they lost their beautiful colours so ive resin painted them back to life. I've been trying to figure out how i can keep them true to life form so they look like they are flowing in the ocean current.
Thanks for your informative clip. Just wondering whether you can reuse the glycerine water for another batch of preserving or do you need a new mix each time?
Hi - I lay them out on paper … and yes, you can pay them dry with paper towels or just leave to air dry. I store in cardboard boxes from IKEA. They don’t seem to have any problems in storage 😃😃
Do you think you have an allergy to seaweed 🤣. Will this work with most plant materials. Things like delicate grasses and cow parsley, also dock leaves. Love dock leaves when they get holes in. ?
Sorry Linda … hopeless I am - just seen this!! I can react to quite a few things … but basically ignore it if it’s something I love like seaweed or paint!! I have preserved cow parsley seed heads and quite fine leaves - but have found they work best if you press them first - until dried. Then into glycerine. If fresh they tend to just go to mush!! Xx
U cracked me up when u said, “it looks a bit spooky!” 😂

Loved it! Did have to have a discussion about 2 to 1 though 🤣
Very intersting! Can you tell me how do you dry them after they've been in the glicerine?
Hi - just remove from glycerine and lay out on paper to dry. You can pay with paper towels to help or just leave to air dry 😃😃
Do you just pay them dry? How do you store them once they are out of the glycerin mixture?

Oh gosh! I meant to write pat them dry ☺️ Thanks for the reply!
I read it as that anyway!!
