Here in winter of 24’. As someone who hasn’t beaded more than a bracelet, I was able to make several beautiful snowflake ornaments + suncatchers as holiday gifts. As I went I even played with sizing and pattern which didn’t always work out, but there is some wiggle room if you don’t have the exact size beads mentioned. I had so much fun doing this and the video helped so much! It’s given me more confidence to try new crafts! Thank you and happy 2025!!
Took me a bit over 2 hours but I did it and am so happy with myself! Great tutorial. Only improvements have already been mentioned- indicating how many of each bead needed and name the beads as they are strung. Well done!
Thank you for the tutorial, Jay! Your snowflake is lovely. I've made three over the years, and plan to make another this weekend! This is my favorite beading pattern. 🙂
For those who were confused about bead quantities: each phone charm takes 12 of the 4mm bicones, 6 of the 6mm bicones, and 6 of the 4mm rounds. Double those quantities to make a pair of earrings. Can anyone tell me when you use seed bead A and seed bead B? I cannot tell a difference in the video or when I pause it to look at the diagram. Also, what size are the seed beads A & B? They don't sell seed beads in the US as 2mm. They are size 15/0, 11/0, 8/0, 6/0, etc. This project looks good and I like this method of tutorial., I just wish there was a little more information given on the materials.
WOW ! I have to say that is the easiest to understand beading tutorial I have ever, EVER, witnessed ! There were no shots off camera, hands in the way, pointing to a confusing area, just simple and beautiful instructions on how to make a beaded Snowflake... Thank you so much. I subscribed and hope that I will see many more videos from you on beading like this one. Kudos to you and your computer skills and beading skills and thanks again.
Excellent tutorial. By using swarovski crystals and pearls one can make pendants and earrings using this design, Its so beautiful. Can we have more of these animations please.
Brilliant tutorial. No matter the beading level, it is easy to follow. I subscribed to your channel and hope to see many, many more tutorials. Thank you for making them and sharing.
To give such an animation/cartoon schemes - it is the most effective way to explain and show a diagram of the preparation of item - no of hands and fingers, which sometimes is only misleading and interfere with understanding the principle of making an item Thanks!
Thank you for to be here, for this channel and for your AMAZING way of teaching. You are great. a blesses and inspired day to you. Kiss kiss from the Netherlands. Nilza wigenhof
Somebody asked about wire. I took about 150 cm wire. I used crystal string wire (0,2 mm diameter). And when finished its about 4 cm size. 2 mm seed beads its 11/0 size. Its dificult but its possible :) Sorry about my english, I hope it was helpful.
I love this design but the beads you're using in the animation aren't labeled except for the list in the beginning so I'm not sure what size you're using when and where. Could you put that info somewhere?
Uh-oh. I already messed up. I didn't know the middle was going to be 3-D and used big bicones for the first part and thinking we were doing the radial parts next I used the smaller Bicones. I was half-way through that before I realized that didn't flip outward but was another layer of the middle section.
Many viwers asking how many beads must go. COUNT GUYS,COUNT. 1, 2, 3 ,4, 4,5,6,7,8,9 AND 10. helllooooooo. ITS ALL THERR TO SEE. open your eyes. Do your thing. TRY SOMETHING
This was not a very good tutorial. First you have to figure out how many beads you need, you never told us how long the wire needed to be, you never told us there was going to be a second layer so the beads we did count out according to the picture was inaccurate....smh

Awesome tutorial, very easy to follow; thank-you for sharing
This looks so much fun to make. Would it still look good if I was to double up sizes on each bead as the overall size would be too small for our tree?

All you had to do was count the beads and for a project size an arm span of wire would of been plenty.
lol 'starp'
is it not helpful @ all
