This reminds me of a time when I was caring for the elderly, mostly people with alzheimers and dementia. One lady who had a leg to diabetes said that God took her leg because she was vain about her lovely legs...then one day the truth came out...she felt like she was being punished because she gave her mentally challenged son to an institution, when he was still an infant. Never saw him again. The guilt beat her up all her days. It was common, in her generation. But she punished herself ever since. I remember telling her that God loves her. He doesn't punish us. He knows that life is hard, and that we do what we can. And we make mistakes. I remember when she passed away, thinking she's finally free...
Hi. Thanks for watching. That particular scene is an expression of the character's powerlessness and desire to put his mind on anything but his current reality. It's a bit ugly and tough to watch, but that's the point.

Excellent
Well done
All the ups and downs between the parents felt very real
They both want to be seen. They both did what they thought was best. Both think the other did not do enough. They did.
Good one.
So sad. These parents never had a real life and never will. Life plays these tricks on us and we have to live with the hand we’re dwelt.
Tough stuff. And very normal.
Does his little hobby at the bedroom desk REALLY bring anything to the story? No. So, why?
Showing his despair, worthlessness, helplessness.
I agree. That scene was completely unnecessary and gross, and it ruined the film.

I'm guessing what he'll be doing....so I won't be watching now
I stopped watching after that 👎
