I was at this show. thanks for uploading. I had a really good view of the Bigfoot crash being I was sitting at the finish line on his side. Great to see this event again.
I have seen the clip of Bigfoot hitting the wall a dozen times, but I never knew they televised the full event. Thanks for sharing!
I saw this footage of Bigfoots run on a Ford Budweiser us hot rod World Finals commercial back in November 1990 it was awesome to see then and it's way awesome to see it now in full thanks for the Righteous upload dude
This was my very very first monster truck race i went to thank you for sharing this !!!
thank you for putting this on here. this wasmy veey very first monster truck race n ive been lookn for this footage thank you again.
Evil Force is a beauty.
Loved the racing back then! thx for posting.
I think we all knew who were gonna be in the final. Good race to the two drivers
16:47 those guys have a story to tell... BigFoot made them run for the nose bleed seats LOL!
... and even more amazing is the guy that stood his ground on the floor just 4 or 5ft away
Re-watching this again after two years... The camera work here is some of the worst I've ever seen, so bad I can't even believe they aired this. haha.
Two thumbs up !!
These trucks are nice
Wow, I never knew this existed, thanks for uploading! Makes me wonder what else is out there... Any idea if there was more than one show?
Me too... so I am going thru everyone's uploads and searching their channel
Its gonna take awhile...
Also another rare Sliverdome episode is the one from "wild about wheel" tape
camera man forget to zoom out? ba...lol do you have the entire episode?
Lol right! It's so bad... Ah well, I'm just taking the half full side that it's cool to see this, can't do anything about the original production. Great upload!
What is that noise..coming from video HIGH pitch noice
Did this event start 1991?
I'm fairly sure this was actually at the tail end of 1990. Ray Piorkowski debuted Invader at the beginning of 1991, so unless he had some sort of issue I see no reason why he'd be driving Evil Force at a 1991 event.
@@Kouvre Invader was built from Evil Force. So he wasn't running two trucks at once.
Some awful editing on this episode. Also it sounded like they used/edited in the same generic engine sounds for every truck that ran
Evil Force should have been DQ'd.
Whoever drew up these brackets knew nothing about proper seeding.
so who won? it didnt say?
That was one of the closet races I've ever seen on tv. I was there in New Orleans back in 1990 and it came down to Bigfoot and Taurus in the final race there. Bigfoot won that one in a close race and also blew the engine. It wasn't Jack Willman Jr. at that event, but his father, Sr. John Piant drove Bigfoot 4 and not #8 that Andy Brass drove here. There's also a video from this event.
This is when the worked on making the most horsepower and their suspension weren't up to the challenge. And the concrete floor is just too bouncy for this. An all dirt floor works much better
Gary Porter is and always will be the most overrated monster truck driver of all time. He was always slower than a tortoise. Even when he lucked into a Grave Digger ride he was literally the slowest, mopiest drivers. Sure, seeing Grave Digger is cool and all but once you found out which driver it was one hell of a let down. The guy never won anything
I'm not even a Carolina Crusher fan and even I can say the dude ran hard all the time. He was killing it in the first couple years of Penda
He ran as hard as he needed to win. He was efficient. Guaranteed he had the least amount of unnecessary breakage as anyone.
Thank you so much for sharing this! One of the most greatest races ever between two of the best trucks of all time. Awesome.
