      A bit confusing, all things considered.. However, YOU did it with help! ME TOO! It is not "rocket science" but having someone take the time to share things like this saves countless amounts of money, especially for the elderly (like my parents), and makes me also look good! :). I didn't do it to look good.. I did it to help, and I steady point out the videos I often watch to help me help them! A lot of these videos I believe are being passed around, at least locally to a lot of people.. NOT trying to hurt people's jobs, but tough sheot if I can fix it for $10 and a little (HELPED) labor rather than them spending $140+.

    A $20 replacement sprayer head just saved me $200 and several hours to replace parts that weren't broken. Thanks for the video! My new sprayer was unable to use the included assembly as well I had to go back to the old one. The handles appear to be a weak point on the nozzle, and the head change was all that was needed so far. My sprayer was seven years old at the time it failed.

    I had opposite issue. New collar fit & works, but new sprayer head makes it leaky still. I am using the new collar, new clip & OLD sprayer head/nozzle... so far, so good. Thank you!!

      Same! My parents are in the early 80's now... They are not scraping by with their finances; however, they are concerned about making it the rest of the way through life... I don't exactly care to do whatever DIY repairs when I've never done them before... However, it sure is NICE to be able to help them with things I am able to learn by way of these people sharing things.. Takes away their stress.. Kinda also selfishly cool after being a teenage arsehole (juvenile delinquent - in the 80's) for a time.. Being able to help pay it back.. Again, thanks to all who share what might be a little thing to pros, but allow us to do the simple things and save either our $$ or our loved ones / friends..

    Thanks for the video, my delta sprayer is leaking and Delta no longer makes it.
    Paid $40 for a brand new faucet off eBay, and after a couple weeks the sprayer leaks! Wasn't aware they made "UNIVERSAL" sprayers so thanks!
    Delta has really gone down hill. I used to do plumbing 25+ years ago and Delta was the BEST, not any more.

    Thank you!!!! Our sprayer was so old.. I believe 1984 old! I'm not a plumber, though I do DIY when I am able withing reason.. From A/C to the roof leaks and all sorts of other things.. Your video made working through this so easy... I watch a LOT of YT vids on a variety of things outside of DIY repair; however, it are these videos that I truly appreciate the most! Subscribing in hopes it helps your channel! ~ David

      You’re welcome! I too watch a lot of UA-cam videos to learn how to repair things. And in a lot of my own videos I’m learning as I go since these are often the first times I’m doing these repairs. But I’m glad my video was helpful and thanks for subscribing! I really appreciate it!

    Why did you not try the old collar before placing it on the hose?

      Hey! My intention for making this video was to use all new parts for the repair and I didn’t know where the leak was originating from. But I guess the collar issue I ran into helped me make this a more detailed/complete video for others who might run into the same problem! Thanks for watching!

    how bout the sprayer dont fit then what should I do with that ?

    • @frisk151
      @frisk151 4 місяці тому

      You probably would have received a reply if you had spelled it out better regarding it not fitting.. I believe the sprayer between the connection and the "sprayer" head are standardized.. Just purchased one this week new, and the old one has been around since 1984-ish.. Thread align perfect.. Might want to check the O-ring for starters..

    What Happen If No Water Is Coming Out?

  • @troyelliott8186

    Well watch lots of videos. So my new one same style same everything as last one I bought to replace. This new one comes with thin flat RUBBER washer and a thicker rubber washer which is flat on one side not on the other. By watching videos those that had that funny washer out it into the top of the sprayer non flat side first. Actually same way it was in my last sprayer.
    Now my OLD one came with a thin plastic washer. I have tried every combination of the washer and combined with both sprayer heads. I even tried all 3 washers. Thick rubber, thin rubber and thin plastic. I even tried teflon tape on threads. BUT STILL I have water dripping out under that first blk plastic collar part of sprayer you put on. What next.

      Sorry for the late reply! I’m not exactly sure why your sprayer is still leaking underneath the head. Before I made this video I had bought a gasket kit and none of those gaskets or O-rings stopped the leaking. But when I got this new sprayer and installed it the leak completely stopped. I know it’s been a couple of weeks since you left this comment but hopefully you found a solution! Could there be an issue with the hose itself?
