    Lol, I am also visual and store patterns the same way. I have to be able to see them. I do often also tape a pic of the pattern IRL if that was what inspired me to buy it.
    I also stack up my sew next projects. I have them in stacks by type (tops, pants, jackets, etc) and in the order I want to sew them.
    Love your vlogs, glad I found your channel.

    I really enjoy your videos and we sew on the same Pfaff machine. I have recently set up my older Pfaff in my fabric room. That makes it seem as though I have two sewing rooms, but no, one is my fabric room and one is my sewing studio.

      I love that you have a fabric room! And thank you! I have my old one set up in the same room for my daughter but use it for topstitching when making pants!!!

    I loved this video and was wondering if you might consider a part 2 of this video talking about how you store your A0 prints and that cool box system well the fabric card thing as well? Also, do you ever make the same pattern twice?

      Megan Strowger hi!!! Well I would love to do a more specific video on that soon! I do talk about the fabric cards in my sewing room tour!! The more recent one if you want to watch it in the meantime! The AO’s are in rolls in the corner haha until they are cut out and then they get an envelope!!! It’s a mess right now because I really need to make those patterns! Also I do make several patterns twice and I keep only what I think I will make again! I might have a video soon on my tried and true patterns or the ones I really make a ton!

      Megan Strowger oh my goodness that’s awesome! Quilting cottons are so fun! Yeah my rolls are just in a basket in the corner standing upright...like a square toy box haha! And yes I go through my patterns quite frequently and sometimes if it’s something that is really unique and that I probably won’t make again I just get rid of it! I know deep down I can print it again if I am regretting that decision and I almost never do! I don’t trace anything haha! I cut it all out! And then it goes in the envelope! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️I also never muslin 😂🤷‍♀️

      @@victorialucilleanne5483 What a rebel! Haha! I lost 70 lbs over the last year so I was thankful I hadn't cut anything out so I didn't have to pay to print the A0s again. I'm training for an ultramarathon and my size may go down again so I guess that is why I am hesitant to cut into the A0s. I also don't muslin. I just will use a thrifted fabric I don't care about as much if it doesn't turn out well. If I like it enough I know I can make again with a tweak. I need to start going through my patterns and organizing better though will add that to my growing to do list!

      Megan Strowger haha definitely a rebel and that’s amazing that you are training for that and a good reason you keep your AOs!!!!

    How do you find time to do so much sewing with young children around. What's your secret?

    • @victorialucilleanne5483
      @victorialucilleanne5483  4 роки тому +1

      Cathryn Woolley haha well I don’t know really! I just do it and sometimes they come in and bother me but they are good at entertaining themselves because we just say figure it out haha! So they end up playing with legos for hours or making stop motion videos haha...And I usually sew in silence so I can hear what is going on in the house and my hubby is home a lot! Sometimes it’s hard to get stuff done but other times it’s glorious!
