They should’ve used both Keith Lee and Parker Boudreaux properly in the WWE and it’s a shame to see them both fail in WWE and AEW. In my opinion, Parker Boudreaux had the potential to become something big on the main roster if pushed properly. He was most likely to make the next Brock Lesnar and possibly have a match with him.
Parker Boudreaux is still way too green for any type of push... On the other hand there is one Star that deserves a real solid push and that is Lance Archer.
@fadedxwilson947 agreed Lance archer was in one the first matches I saw when I started watching aew he is a great wrestler I wonder how he'd do if he went to wwe
A lot of them actually had great runs (or at least moments) in wwe, Nese won the cruiserweight title on wrestlemania, lee was very dominant on nxt winning both single title + was booked strong on survivor series, hager/swagger won the money in the bank & whc title along with the "we the people" chant that went over as well, spears/tye was pretty over both in nxt & main roster with his 10 gimmick, Lio rush was very interesting on nxt cruiserweight division especially his feud with garza

Bit odd to say *_Swagger/Hager_* failed in WWE when he was there for about a decade on the midcard keeping busy, and was a world champ (granted it was SD and a MITB cash-in).

Athena, Samoa Joe, Swerve, Daniel Garcia, Malakai, and Buddy Murphy are doing well in AEW. Athena is a current ROH women's champion, and Joe is current a ROH TV champion. The problem is that everyone can’t be a Champion/Main Eventer at the same time. Some have to walk while others run. People were saying the same thing about FTR and MJF, Storm and HoB but now they’re all wearing gold. With a company as big as AEW is, it’s going to take longer to pass the gold around.
Andrade & Miro are 2 of the main wrestlers on collision, really doing their thing. Keith Lee was looking rough a while but after last week it’s starting to look up for him again. Lance Archer… you’re right, but he’s popular in NJPW at least which is where he’s spent a lot of time the last few years, so I’m happy for him. And Shawn Spears may be on the come up on Collision, but it’s too early to be sure.
Its because of minoru suzuki's stable from pro wrestling noah to njpw that makes lance archer stay with his current gimmick,he may well received as monster gaijin but at western promotion he's just another generic wrestler.
Swagger was a world champion, Cass screwed himself in WWE if he would have been straight he would probably still be there. Shawn Spears now that guy deserves to be on that list.
I say the top three picks at the time weren’t being utilized by Tony Khan. Triple H knows how to make them legitimate superstars of WWE, and he can probably do it again if he let them have their chances again.
This. Sometimes it just takes the right combination of talent and creative, at the right time, to get it to work. You miss the window, and it's essentially over for some talent.

I would add John Hennigan to this list because he failed in both as well. He is currently getting another push under Johnny TV with QT Marshall, but as with all of the talent associated with Marshall, I expect this to fizzle out very quickly. Not sure why he was not paired with his wife Taya Valkyre who is also with AEW right now (and who also failed in WWE and was unable to dethrone Jade Cardgill). As for Jack swagger and characters similar to him a good manager would make up for the inability to cut a good promo. So they didn’t technically fail just because of themselves.
What I find funny about Swagger/Hager is Jericho saying he had bad creative in WWE, as if his run in AEW has been any better. At least he achieved a lot more in WWE. World Champ, MITB winner, etc. Granted, Jericho has said a lot of things since he's been in AEW that has been flat out laughable.
Awesome Kong gets an honorable mention from me. Her WWE run was halted due to a pregnancy which unfortunately resulted in a miscarriage. She only had one match in WWE and that was the Royal Rumble in 2012. As for AEW, two words: Nightmare Collective. The stable flopped and she spent more time filming GLOW.
I completely forgot Awesome Kong was ever in AEW. I also forgot that Brandi Rhodes of all people had the most confusing storyline ever. It was like she was a company executive......but also she was a wrestler......but also she wanted to be loved......but also she hired Awesome Kong as a henchman/bodyguard. I think I remember them shaving heads or something? It barely made sense in context, and it was so boring that I forget the context. And somehow we were supposed to at one point, Boo Brandy, but cheer Cody, but also forget that they're married.....except when you shouldn't........but allso neither one of them would help in each others lives. One promo Cody even said in a promo something like "My wife is the exective womens manager (or whatever) and she's doing her thing, and I'm doing my thing, and we don't interfere in each others business........but now I'm bored and don't know what to do......" It was like watching the most half hearted promo ever. "Hey, you guys want me to still be a wrestler?" *cheer* "Alright I guess......send somebody out I guess....." And then most of the time it was someone who at the time was an unknown name that needed to be established. Guys like Darby Allen, Jungle Boy, MJF, Sammy Guevara. I'm surprised he never worked with Ricky Starks. And they'd have a great match, and then Codys next promo is about how he doesn't know what to do. Meanwhile Brandy is like "YOU'RE ALL MY BITCHES!!!" but then never doing anything on TV to justify that mentality.
I’m still surprised that Vince thought that the chant “Rusev Day” was mocking Miro (Rusev) while in reality he was over so organically with the fans. Vince simply hated that Miro was doing it organically instead of a horrible character work
Yes. I mean the big issue with WWE and AEW is...WWE fails to use them, and AEW has a ton of amazing fish with no way to really push them or time to. You can have 100 amazing wrestlers who all fans want to see push or look good, but only so much time.
I never made it in wwe, ufc or aew but God grateful I shared the mat/ring with Batista, MVP, Jake Hager, Samoa Joe, Gangrel, Roderick Strong, and Robbie Idol. It was badass.
It's sad, Ember could have been giving us great matches with the EST. But that's an issue of only one to two black female wrestlers can be pushed at a time. Ember still gave us one of the best finishers in history.
this list make me feel how magical nxt is. To be honest, half of the wrestler in this list actually can be some major key wrestler but their sparks got exhaust before they even start.
Sean Spears is one of the more underrated stars who were underutilized. Good in ring worker, good talker, and extremely versatile character work. Not to mention he was over at one point in both companies, especially WWE. Why neither company capitalized on that will never make sense to me.
swagger: he wanted to focus on his mma fights, more than pro wrestling. his mma contract calls/called for several fights, per contract period. he's not wanted a full time schedule, in case he gets hurt and have to pull out of said fight[s]. also, each mma fight takes several months to train for. nese: he's stated he's wanted to help train/coach. he was doing this while in wwe while being on nxt and 205. he's primarily been on roh, to help those acts out. when he was seen on dark/elevation, it was when there was students of his or [later on] roh was doing a taping. rush: he got let go from aew. the guy shot his mouth off to TK on social media, about a situation he didn't know about. he was positioned for big things but he caused his own demise in the company. spears: like nese, he's wanted to train/coach. also, he's been wanting/trying to start a family before he got too beat up to. plus, the guy's mother passed away not too long ago and that took a toll on him. cabana: he's stated several times he been wanting to transition to a behind the scenes roll for a while. he's WAY banged up to compete at the level he wants to and the jericho match was his "soft" retirement match. he's been behind the scenes with roh, trying to get it off the ground since its relaunch. pretty sure he's on the booking team with jerry lynn. archer: dude said on his twitter he's been injured and rehabbing to avoiding major surgery. he just had wresting matches for new japan / strong. he said these matches have been for him to the rust off and get reps in. andrade: he had a pec tear [simular to cody's] and get surgery / rehabbing since his last match. he's had documented backstage issues but the source of said issues [sammy] has had issues with others but it's apparently been dealt with. miro: had several nagging injuries [dude confirmed this on his twitter ages ago] during his tnt title run and his match at last forbidden door. he said he wanted to rehab them, so he wouldn't have to get surgery. creatively, he's been waiting for the right pitch and for TK's other title plans [mjf, oc, possible trios] to finish up. keith: guy's been suffering for long covid and its aftereffects. he's said so many time and stated TK has not been in a rush to put him back in the ring on a full schedule. it's only just now that he's gotten his feet back underneath and feels comfortable enough to go full throttle. his match last wednesday and this past wednesday showed that.
Me and my friends love your channel and the other day we noticed you haven’t posted a top 10 video that’s positive! Everything is “top 10 worst”. You should do “Top 10 best”!
Pac last I heard is injured, Athena is doing good on ROH, and Ruby Soho may not doing anything amazing but been with the Outcast was good for her carrer, she does have TV time and sometimes sim matches, this time she is going to defeat Britt Baker, I like Britt more but I think Ruby is going to win this one.
Pac was good in nxt. He is the one that decided to leave. So we will never know how he could've been in WWE. Well as for aew. He was the first international champion and trios champion. The guy is doing great in aew.
I first learned of Colt Cabana through CM Punk's infamous promo. I wish Colt had more screen time. I find him entertaining. It's such a shame what happened with their friendship ending; I always wondered "what could have been?" If they were still friends - maybe a great, on-screen collaboration.
Became the runner-up in an explosive 15-man Survivor Series match, halted Brock Lesnar's dominant Royal Rumble momentum, beat Randy Orton in 7 minutes during his first week on the main roster, led team RAW to a Survivor Series clean sweep... yeah, how was Keith Lee misused?
Ember Moon/Athena should for sure be on this list. Her nxt run was great (I think she gave Asuka her best wwe match). Main roster, and aew? Just weren't there. The eclipse is still one of the best finishers of all time, visually.
Colt's an odd one. The guy can be entertaining in his own way, but like so many things AEW doesn't know how to book him. He's the type of guy who could get over in more backstage segments where he can play off his humor like a Santino.
@@OVO-Adolf Comedy Wrestlers can be good if they know how to use them. Look at Sami Zayn, where he was a comedy wrestler vs Johnny Noxville and was very much over/loved. Sure everyone wanted him to be serious, which did happen with Bloodline which arguably still as a comedy wrestler. it just depends on how they are used. Hell Kurt Angle was one of the best "comedy" wrestlers aka used so much in comedy, but was a legit star.
comedy should be a part of their gimmick and not the whole wrestler itself. thats why santino was never a credible candidate for the world title. but one could argue its cuz of the creative. orange cassidy has a comic gimmick, but that not everything about him. from his matches, you could say he throws his "laziness" away, mans got intensity and the crowd loves him. he made a title, that was doomed to fail, more prestigious than the tnt title now
Just because you have won championship gold doesn’t mean you had a good career. If you wanna have a good career, then you have to be taken very seriously by the fans.
Some fans refuse to like a wrestler though. Both John Cena and Roman Reigns are not liked by the fans, yet they have been hugely successful. Fans don't know everything.
At least Jack Hager have big achievement in WWE by winning MITB and cash in to the World Heavyweight Title . But in AEW , he still didn't had anything big title ..
I think part of the problem is that Tony Khan spread himself so thin for a while being the sole booker for AEW that he wasn't able to come up with stuff for everybody to do... instead of writing compelling stories that would keep people coming back he instead just went for the cheap pop of having another "a big announcement to make next week!" and then announcing yet another signing, which really just compounded the problem by adding more he had to think about and write for. For the wrestlers' part in all this: they need to be able to come up with ideas and stories on their own and present them to the higher ups for situations like an overwhelmed booker... but the problem a lot of former WWE guys would have is they knew that if they came up with a great story idea and took it to Vince he would be more likely to say "Hey thats a great idea for a story! I just don't think its right for you... I'm going to use it for ... and ... for now. But keep coming with those ideas because this one was great!" and have all their hard work and great ideas stolen away which just makes them gun-shy about coming up with stuff.
Miro was super over in the WWE… the problem was that he got himself over without Vince having a part in it because if anyone knows Vince he has to have his hand in EVERYTHING he hates not having control that’s why he did Zack Ryder dirty cuz he too got himself over….same thing with LA Knight
Vince is doing anything to LA Knight. I'm sick and tired of people saying that. He didn't win MITB but that doesn't mean he's buried nor does it mean that Vince is in control
@@ShaunInce123 We do hold him to the same standard, but it's obvious the difference between Triple H booking and Vince McMahon's booking. You can literally feel the difference in a show booked by Vince and a show booked by Triple H. If you can't, you shouldn't be commenting here.
I'd say Lance Archer found success. He's main evented dynamite in title matches/big matches. The only reason why he was gone was because of his injury from a botched moonsaulr
I was fully lapsed as a fan during CM Punk's WWE run. But I knew the name and about the pipe bomb. I did not know who Colt Cabana was, nor his history with Punk. I saw the match with Orange Cassidy outdoors with the glasses of beer and that's how I learned there was a wrestler named Colt Cabana. In retrospect I may have actually seen every job gig he did as Scotty Goldman during the attitude era and I remember he was solid and I rooted for him because I was that guy, still sort of am. But before AEW Colt had already revolutionized how indie wrestler can make money and do well for themselves, and shares his knowledge with others. Then he signed on with AEW. While his in ring time was 'meh', his behind the scenes work was what made Dark my favorite of the shows for the pure wrestling. Colt has by no means failed in AEW. He's going to be one of those behind the scenes names in the shoot interviews in like fifteen or twenty more years. His contribution to BTE this week was pure gold... Man.
Yeah, I wouldn't say Miro failed in WWE. I'd say WWE just failed Miro. They should have just strapped a rocket to him during Rusev Day and ran with it.

In my opinion, Parker Boudreaux had the potential to become something big on the main roster if pushed properly. He was most likely to make the next Brock Lesnar and possibly have a match with him.
Give it time atleast
Parker Boudreaux is still way too green for any type of push...
On the other hand there is one Star that deserves a real solid push and that is Lance Archer.
Get over it.
@fadedxwilson947 agreed Lance archer was in one the first matches I saw when I started watching aew he is a great wrestler I wonder how he'd do if he went to wwe
Are you high? Boudreaux has none of Brock's athletic prowess, nor the body.
The fuckin' cope from the marks is hilarious.
Shawn Spears got badly mistreated in both WWE & AEW
How? He doesn’t have any real charisma besides the 10 gimmick, which got old fast. He just doesn’t connect with fans.

Bit odd to say *_Swagger/Hager_* failed in WWE when he was there for about a decade on the midcard keeping busy, and was a world champ (granted it was SD and a MITB cash-in).
It's kind of hard for me to take serious and assertion that someone failed in WWE when they rode a freaking tank to the ring at WrestleMania for a match against John Cena. I'm kind of struggling to see how that is failing.
Especially since he was also Undefeated for a whole year until the day of Wrestlemania.

Him beating randy clean on ppv and being in WWE title picture was considered a bad start for Keith Lee on the roaster.. and that was more of a push than the aew tag belts
So Xavier woods is a failure? Lol only good thing he's achieved was that video with paige 😂
Lio Rush failed because he couldn't keep his mouth shut. It was neither WWE nor AEW's fault at all. They both tried with him, he's talented, he just couldn't shut up.
Many of the ex-WWE wrestlers in AEW are doing pretty bad (except Jon Moxley, Daniel Bryan, Toni Storm, FTR and a few others)

Malakai Black & Murphy 💔
Athena, Samoa Joe, Swerve, Daniel Garcia, Malakai, and Buddy Murphy are doing well in AEW. Athena is a current ROH women's champion, and Joe is current a ROH TV champion. It's not a bad spot to be on. Swerve got a lot of TV time, and he's even a former AEW tag champion with Keith Lee. Swerve even got in own faction. Malakai and Buddy are current AEW trios champion. Daniel Garcia was a former ROH Pure champion and is part of the JAS. He and 2point0 never have that kind of spotlight NXT.
@@nwo2coolbro being on ROH is one step up from being on aew dark. Athena lost all her matches against the top "stars" sane for joe and all of them consigned to ROH tbh. Malakai hasnt wrestled a singles match in over a year. Bro left from being a solid mid carder in wwe to a tag team guy in aew. 90% of the former wwe guys in aew are flopping
Also got to get past the hurdle of Vince getting more involved in creative for WWE before we even start talking second chances, hypothetical or not lol
Archer succeeded in New Japan, but TNA failed him, but gave him his first big break.
Miro recently return to AEW . So definetely his AEW run was not that bad overall

1.Jack Swagger was like Lex Luger, they both were meant to replace somebody. (Hulk Hogan & Kurt Angle).
2. I think of Tony Nese as the cruiserweight Rick Rude.
3. Vince Mcmahon messed up heavily with Rusev. He could've been amazing.
Shawn Spears has helped train UA-camr and Deadlock Pro Wrestler Chris Danger and was Danger's opponent in Danger's professional wrestling debut . It would be interesting to find how things pan out with Danger and Spears .
Keith Lee, Andrade and Miro can still be saved!

So I guess yall can add her to a volume 2 list as well. I would also throw in some of the UE guys like Roderick Strong too. I can do this all night.
I booed him once, and he walked up to me and slowly shook his head "No" to make me feel bad.
It pains me that he didn't succeed in wwe, his initial run could have been special. I remember the next shawn Michaels comparisons.
John Hennigan is a GOAT. I think because he is the only Tough Enough winner who still continues to wrestle speaks volumes. I also appreciate his skill set not to mention he was robbed on Survivor!! John should have been WWE champion. I think he maybe got cancelled out because he does draw similarities to The GOAT Seth "Freakin" Rollins. Taya on other hand it's not right how they built her. Unless you're pulling a Paige/Gail Kim and winning the championship on your first night you should have a good build to championship level status

AEW always signing people who failed in WWE and Impact. Tony Khan should understand that not everyone is Chris Jericho😂😂
Totally agreed
That's more on her filming schedule
One promo Cody even said in a promo something like "My wife is the exective womens manager (or whatever) and she's doing her thing, and I'm doing my thing, and we don't interfere in each others business........but now I'm bored and don't know what to do......"
It was like watching the most half hearted promo ever. "Hey, you guys want me to still be a wrestler?" *cheer* "Alright I guess......send somebody out I guess....."
And then most of the time it was someone who at the time was an unknown name that needed to be established.
Vince simply hated that Miro was doing it organically instead of a horrible character work
Aiden came up with the catchphrase and at the end of it all thats all it was just a catchphrase. It got stale really fast
Sometimes you can't blame creative, if you fail in multiple companies is it really the companies fault
Yes. I mean the big issue with WWE and AEW is...WWE fails to use them, and AEW has a ton of amazing fish with no way to really push them or time to. You can have 100 amazing wrestlers who all fans want to see push or look good, but only so much time.

CM Punk loves your thumbnail choice...🤣🤣
swagger: he wanted to focus on his mma fights, more than pro wrestling. his mma contract calls/called for several fights, per contract period. he's not wanted a full time schedule, in case he gets hurt and have to pull out of said fight[s]. also, each mma fight takes several months to train for.
nese: he's stated he's wanted to help train/coach. he was doing this while in wwe while being on nxt and 205. he's primarily been on roh, to help those acts out. when he was seen on dark/elevation, it was when there was students of his or [later on] roh was doing a taping.

cabana: he's stated several times he been wanting to transition to a behind the scenes roll for a while. he's WAY banged up to compete at the level he wants to and the jericho match was his "soft" retirement match. he's been behind the scenes with roh, trying to get it off the ground since its relaunch. pretty sure he's on the booking team with jerry lynn.
archer: dude said on his twitter he's been injured and rehabbing to avoiding major surgery. he just had wresting matches for new japan / strong. he said these matches have been for him to the rust off and get reps in.
andrade: he had a pec tear [simular to cody's] and get surgery / rehabbing since his last match. he's had documented backstage issues but the source of said issues [sammy] has had issues with others but it's apparently been dealt with.
miro: had several nagging injuries [dude confirmed this on his twitter ages ago] during his tnt title run and his match at last forbidden door. he said he wanted to rehab them, so he wouldn't have to get surgery. creatively, he's been waiting for the right pitch and for TK's other title plans [mjf, oc, possible trios] to finish up.
keith: guy's been suffering for long covid and its aftereffects. he's said so many time and stated TK has not been in a rush to put him back in the ring on a full schedule. it's only just now that he's gotten his feet back underneath and feels comfortable enough to go full throttle. his match last wednesday and this past wednesday showed that.

I really like that Tony Nese have more screentime on ROH.

Man.
