Is this sustainable though? It's so early and I assume its just tied to product being sold out. Once Pokemon Center and more restock I imagine most to all of these cutting in half.
Won't happen even if PC comes back into stock. At worst it would drop to the 170 if PC has a sizeable restock. If they reprint, it'll have to, again, be pretty sizable to make a dent. Previois SV sets have gotten their reprints already (like PE) and didn't do anything.
@@bulldogdad-h2z Can you explain why you think this? What other sets have acted this way? What in the TCGs history would suggest you can predict a sets entire print run one month in? These are some wild claims. Even 151 had plenty of stock at MSRP for months - My Bestbuy account alone shows Nov 2023 thru May 2024 I found supply easily.
@mattao18 Your anecdotal evidence doesn't support that. If it were that easy to find 151 at MSRP, then 151 sealed market would've tanked to MSRP. That's my evidence for 151 in particular. Anecdotally, 151 is generally out of stock around my area. 151 is a great example of stock that has been dripping in more heavily from August to now, and price is staying firm. These aren't wild claims and I referenced previous SV sets. In particular, Paldea Evolved saw both a price increase and later a reprint. The reprint was mild, and the price didn't drop. I use PE as a primary example because it's one many people expected a reprint to cause the price to tank. Using this set, and others in this era that have now seen reprints, the price didn't change. So one could naturally make the claim this could be the case with Surging Sparks, where it's well-known some store's booster box allocations were lower than recent, previous sets. Keep in mind, not what they asked for to be allocated, but what they were actually allocated relative to previous allocations. So with PC being out of stock and supply limited elsewhere, there isn't a good reason to think the price wouldn't maintain a floor at least of MSRP ($160) even if PC website has a restock, which they sell at MSRP. IF they have a reprint down the road, it depends on how sizable it is. If it exceeds demand, then sure I can see it cratering. If it's like recent reprints in the SV era so far, then I doubt it. Nothing baseless about what I said, but still speculation.
It’s probably only sitting there because more are sending theirs into grading, these are people eager to make their buck, personally sending mine to grade to sell to buy another because it just makes sense profit wise to just sell to even GameStop and shop another raw copy for collection
Matt this set is impossible ti find, there is literally none here where i live Eng Ita or Jpn it doesn't matter this set does not exist anywhere it is crazy, never saw it before With these singles prices booster box are still undervalued in any language
@@7Alberto7 that’s wild. It was relatively easy to find the first week. It was out here in my city, but yes, it’s become more difficult now. Maybe it’s even more difficult in Europe.
You were right first sentence but lost me at the second. Surging Sparks released 1 month ago and Pokemon reprints for what, 24 months? It's VERY early to assume anything. You could be right but I'd wager its far more likely to get reprinted a ton.
@@veematt5526 surging sparks pokemon center etb here in Singapore sold out in less than a minute on release day and besides a 40 unit restock on the same release day (that sold out in ten min), we still waiting for next restock.
That ant being that high is insane. Are people just buying tons to make a massive ant line? 😂
Agreed, wild. $10 shipped Japanese on eBay for those who just want the card.
I will have the biggest any farm
Some lovely art in this set, many not mentioned here.
That’s a testament to how good this set is considering they’re not even in the top 10 most expensive cards

Amazon has booster bundles here in the UK but everything else has gone. It's nuts.
