Awesome lectures sir ....Thank you sir in this method phase 1, suppose if all the values are positive also no artificial variable is appears and "Z not equals to 0" ..... can we go to phase 2
That case will not be happened... Because in Phase 1, your Z = A1+A2+.. and if in final optimal table of Phase 1, no artifical variable appears then its means A1=A2=A3=...=0 and hence Z = 0... On the other hand, if either of A_i is present in optimal table of Phase 1 then it means it is infeasible.... However, that case will be possible as when A1 appears in table with Zero value in last solution column and hence Z = 0..such case called as redundant case. i.e., any two constraints are equal slopes.... Thanks & i hope it clear your doubt
Sir you said ,when problem is of Max type add artificial variable to Z and in min type subtract ...can u explain the reason behind it...as I thought if we have to max Z then why we are subtracting variable from Z ..we should have add
adding artificial variable means adding penalty which implies that its refraining the solution from reaching optimal value so in max case, it's subtracted and vice versa.
Sir ,zj - cj apne likha -1 at time 18:22 baad mien 1 ho gya hai kaise ... calculate kr k toh -1 hi aa raha hai...yeh shortcut method fail ho jata hai ky kahi kahi ?? Kyunki hm bhi ek question bnaye usme bhi unnecessary - aa rha tha...plz reply 🙏🙏
@jnvststudy233@DrHarishGarg New Rule- visualize pivot element as origin. Then We already know the elements which lies on the axes. Now first Use Normal 'V' determinant method (ad-bc) to find all other elements. Next,If the element is in 1st or 3rd quadrant wrt to the pivot element(origin),just change its sign to negetive, otherwise if its in 2nd or 4th quadrant wrt pivot, sign remains same:)
There is always no need to include the A1,A2 in the phase 2 once phase 1 will be over .... Remember, phase 1 is used only to make and check the feasibility of the solution. But if you want to include it then you may, but after doing this, it will increase only the calculation nothing else...
Excellent teacher 🎉🎉!
What a mind-blowing concept clarity !!
Please sir keep it up and upload more new lectures
Thank you, I will.... Anyhow, most of the lectures already uploaded... See the playlist Optimization Techniques
Very effective lecture...really very helpful ✌👌
Many thanks
Greatest in the scene
13:27 sir, among -4 and -1, -1 is most positive right!? I guess you meant to say most negative
Sir in sol column -5 kaise aya 3 2 ka to pta h please clear my doubt sir
Very helpful Sir

Do we use two phase method for maximisation problem?
you can use for both minimization or maximization problems
Plz sir provide pdf whole lecture which u clear

This short cut method never fail.... Check the calculate value again... If it comes -1 then it means its typing error

By both method, answer is same... Make sure, you divided by box element and calculate the determinant accurately, by starting from box element.
@@DrHarishGarg right sir, I was misinterpreting the rule before, now it's clear and it's working everywhere.Thank you
What is s
+s is slack variable
-s is surplus variable
@@DrHarishGarg Thank you so much sir
My pleasure.....
Feel free to clear your all queries...
Happy learning.
@@DrHarishGarg sir one more doubt why didn't you include A1 and A2 in phase two
