燕鴴學名：Glareola maldivarum，英文名：Oriental Pratincole ，屬燕鴴科，身長約24cm，台灣普遍的夏候鳥，每年四、五月間,遠從澳洲飛到台灣來繁殖。出現於旱田、草叢、草地或濱海沙地，通常成對或成小群出現。
