Hi Katiso, Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend. Crusoe sends lots of hugs. The moment when he met a giraffe was our very favourite. 🙏🏿🐘🦒❤️
As much as I love your travels adventures and lifestyle the skyline was something else I can’t even go up my daughters stairs without getting a nose bleed😂but I was very brave and listened to you the animals melted my heart you are an amazing family well done John I commend you on your bravery ❤️
Hi Sheila! Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend. John almost certainly had a nosebleed on that bridge too 😂😂😂. The giraffe was epic we have been so luck this week. Thanks so much for watching friend. 🦒🙏❤️🐘
Kudos to John for walking that sky bridge. I went to the top of the Arch in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, and freaked out inside the walls! But the views that Tara showed in the video are awesome. She was very fortunate to be raised in such a gorgeous country. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Kath!! No way John would have gone over those bridges either!! Blame Taras 😂😂😂 thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏❤️🐘🦒
“Courage, is not the absence of fear, but feeling the fear and doing it anyway” that was amazing show of courage John, I think anyone would have jelly legs doing that, so for someone really fearful of heights was incredible … well done all. Lovely episode, beautiful and amazing work being done by those angels caring for the animals ❤
Your such a beautiful family . Well done John on the bridge crossing that awesome. I look forward to watching your videos every week and filled up at the end with the elephants ect.. amazing 👏

Congratulations Jon, overcoming your fear! Incredible experience walking high above! Love the work of these angels saving these animals. I’ve never known of a Pangolin. They are beautiful, remind me of Armadillos. Thank you for taking us along. Beautiful video! ~Cara 😊
Hi Cara and John. Thanks for always leaving us a comment it is so appreciated. Pangolins are super cool, and the elephant sanctuary was a real privilege to visit. Finger crossed for Botswana. Next week. 🤞🙏🐘🦒
What a lovely podcast. I have to say John, that I am with you on heights. My legs were shaking watching you and I was lying down! Even more scary was watching Tara standing on the rock overlooking the valley! However, as for the trip to the animal sanctuary, I was blown away. Thankyou for showing this. I am in awe of how beautiful Zimbabwe is. I think after years of watching news items about the country, I had a very odd idea as to what it was like. Many thanks for a glimpse of the reality and beauty that is Zimbabwe.
Hi Linda! Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend. And, good to hear that johns not alone in his fears!! Taras so pleased to hear your comments about Zimbabwe, it’s such a beautiful country and so misunderstood and we’re so hopeful that we can somehow contribute to a change in opinion and support the people, projects and industries that rely on visitors. Have a super week and we’re excited to share the next chapter with you!
A truly amazing vlog, think this is my favourite one yet. Poor John I would have been the same. You are so brave to do it I think I would have chickened out 😂😂 Wow the scene with the giraffe 🦒 was so moving as he looked at crusoe. Thanks for sharing this we really enjoyed it. 😀
Hi motorhoming I’m the slow lane! Thanks as always for watching. What a great week it’s been!! Very exciting! Our favourite bit was the giraffe, with Crusoe, moments like that are what it’s all about! Thanks so much for taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏❤️🦒🦒
Incredible video! I am really proud of Jon for walking over that bridge! I'm not so sure I could have. I love what they are doing at the elephant nursery too. Wonderful people taking care of our beloved wildlife. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us. A great way to start my day!!!

Oh my life guys that was amazing. I felt sick myself when I saw those bridges but in true Newby style you did it. All the animals were fantastic but to see little Crusoe so close to the giraffe was brilliant, nothing bothers him, he just takes it all in his stride, or should I say crawl. Thanks so much for sharing this, it’s made me very happy. See you next week
Hi Jane, lovely to hear from you. Thanks as always for traveling along with us. Crusoe is certainly growing brave, the moments with the giraffe are truly what this journey is all about. Thanks for watching and for your support we are so grateful to have you along for this journey.🦒🦒🐘❤️
Ohhh so great... Im granny but love to watch your videos...so greatt crossing this bridge...take care you both and crusso.... Love from Asia Philippines.
Another lovely vlog John and Tara in the beautiful Eastern Highlands of Zim. It brings back wonderful memories of The Troutbeck Inn at Inyanga and The Montclair Casino hotel at Juliasdale. Some fabulous views into Mozambique. I think the Matarazi falls that you visited are not that far from the Pungwe river falls. The whole region is stunning.
Thanks so much Hugh! We actually had lunch at troutbeck and drove past Montclair, all still there. My uncle used to farm at Claremont in juliasdale and my parents were married in the little church there so there’s a lot of family history and memory there for us. Such a beautiful part of the world. Thanks for sharing our journey with us, we so appreciate it.
Absolutely amazing episode! I’m with John - I too would have had jelly legs on the bridges!! And the giraffes would be a highlight for me too! The shots of Crusoe were just beautiful - what a lucky little boy he is to have you guys as parents! Can’t wait for the next episode! x
Hi Teresa! Great to hear from you friend, its been quite a week! John was terrified! Tara found it hilarious! Crusoe of course as he always does just rolled with the punches and enjoyed every minute! Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 🐘🙏👍 PS. Next week we hope to get into Botswana. 🤞
This made me smile a lot this morning as I struggle to recover from my 2nd C19 booster. Continue to love watching the videos of your fantastic travels - it is probably fair to say that I might be living my life vicariously for 25 mins every Sunday 🤣. Not sure Crusoe could be any cuter and it is clear that you are all having a blast. Also though it was really cool that you met up with a former schoolmate.
Hi Declan! Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend. well done for recovering from you booster. You’re all set, that’s great news. We are super grateful that you chose to join us on our adventures every Sunday. Great fun. 👍🐘🙏❤️
Hi tripletgirl2! Always great to hear from you friend. This was indeed a great adventure!! Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏🐘❤️
I have to say that despite how spectacular it was, there is no way I could have done that walkway. Made me feel sick just watching! But what another marvelous video. Thanks so much for sharing 🥰
Hi Julie, TERRIFIED, that’s what John will tell you, he had true jelly legs!! 😂😂 thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🦒❤️❤️
@@TheNewbys it’s my pleasure to be watching your fabulous journey from here in winter Devon and I’m very glad to have found your site. I have to say that John is a far braver person than I would be. I just couldn’t do it! 👏🏻I look forward to your next travels 🥰
Wow amazing epeisode. Just watching you on that bridge my legs were like jelly! Well done guys. watching this reminded me of the first time I saw you guys; it was when you were up Mount Zas on Naxos- nothing as high but even then John was talikng about going too close to the edge! Thank you for sharing. Will definitely look up the Zimbabwe Elephant Nursery and also follow them on instagram too.
Ahh amazing to hear that Naxos is where you started the journey with us Suzanne! It’s always wonderful to hear from you and thank you for supporting the elephant nursery, special people with an amazing project. Have a happy weekend!

Holy shit John! You bloody did it! Next off for New Zeeland and do all the fun stuff...... What a park of paradise. To give the support to the animals when they need it the most. Respect!
Thanks Meinart. Truly, as we sit here together replying to your message, John is saying it was terrifying and he ain’t going anywhere near any more high places!! 😂😂😂 Love to the family. See you next week. 👍👍🦒🐘❤️

Hello what another awesome video. I loved the early morning gift that sunrise with coffee looks just divine. How amazing feeding the giraffe. Such a wonderful place for the baby and juvenile Elephants hopefully they can be returned to the wild successfully. It’s a great that they have a second chance. Caruso is growing ever so quickly crawling and keeping you in your toes before you know it he will be up on his feet. Thanks for an enjoyable video as always. Many thanks Cheryl x
Thanks Cheryl! Oh the little man sure is keeping us on our feet - and he is very nearly on his!! This next chapter through Botswana with an almost toddler will be very interesting indeed - watch this space! Have a wonderful week and thank you again for being here. ❤️
Hi guys. There are some words that I would never write in the comments, but I was thinking them when you were walking over those bridges. All I can say is WOW, my hat goes off to you yet again, and John's excitement feeding the Giraffe, magical ❤❤❤
Another truly beautiful video guy’s. I always look forward to Sundays when I can catch up on your adventures. The work they do at Wild is Life is amazing. I will certainly have that on my list, if ever I get to Zim. 😀👍
Hi Martyn, Great to hear from you, thanks for watching every Sunday friend. Wild is Life is super cool and we were very lucky to have been able to visit. If you get to Zim they are very worth a visit! 👍🦒🐘❤️

Amaaaaaazing!!! I felt giddy meself watching y'all walked on that sky walk. Blimey! That's high! I love adventure and going up hills/ mountains but heights like this..yikes!!! LOL but soo breathtaking! snd Wild if Life is fab! Their work and initiatives should be applauded. Crusoe's face when he saw the giraffe! LOL! so cute! I must say I only saw a pangolin once years ago back when I was at my house in Malaysia - it was having a rest in my parents' house roof! and it's yellow in colour.p/s just another amazing vlog. and the finger food/ cakes wow! delicious! oh and Crusoe in that big hat?? Too cute!!! xxxx
Hi MakLeemah!! Crusoe feeding the giraffe is one of our favourite parts of this journey. Brilliant!!! Wild is Life are such an important part of protecting elephants, we were so fortunate to visit. Love your Pangolin encounter! Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏❤️🐘 PS. No emoji for the pangolin!!
I'm very jealous that you got to meet a pangolin, they are such beautiful creatures! Here in Dubai there is a safari park where you can also feed the giraffe, and I agree, it's a wonderful experience and such a privilege!
We miss you guys already. Thank you so much for an incredibly special couple of days, you guys are simply the best. Love you all very much and we can’t wait to see you all again soon. Xxx
What an absolutely delightful video! I’m loving your journey through Africa! I feel for you John, just watching you walk over that bridge gave me chills, I am also scared of heights so well done for doing that 👍🏻 Also love the giraffe, they’re such special creatures 💜Keep the fabulous videos coming, they’re the highlight of my Sundays 😊
Hi Bridget! Great to hear from you friend, its been quite a week! The giraffe will certainly stay strong in our list of epic moments for quite some time. The bridge john reckons is best quickly forgotten 😂😂😂. Thanks so much for watching, hope to see you next week from Botswana. 👍❤️🐘

Hi I joined your journey when travel beans featured you on their travels. I quickly got hooked and have gone back to the start to follow your amazing journey. I’m loving watching Crusoe growing up from the day he was born. Such an amazing start to his life. Beautiful family. Keep it up xx
This is my favourite so far, but then Ive loved them all. The view on the sky walk looks wonderful, well done John for overcoming your fear, definitely worth it. The view looked like something from a film set. Its amazing how Crusoe doesn't seem bothered by the animals, many young children would look, then have that look of fear on their face, then burst in to tears, but not Crusoe just takes it all in his stride! Thanks for sharing this wonderful adventure and I look forward to next weeks. Stay safe and best wishes to you all.
Hi Dave! Great to hear from you friend, its been quite a week! Crusoe is growing brave and curious for sure. We hope soon he will be walking around. It’s his 1st birthday this month. Very exciting! This was also one of our favourite vlogs. Lots of fun. Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 🦒🐘❤️🙏
OMG! I had a very hard time watching as you walked over those bridges 😅 I wasn’t even there and I could barely get through it. Good job John, I know you have a fear of heights as well but you did it! Loved seeing the giraffes and elephants they were beautiful. Thanks again for the adventure! ❤
Love to John 🥰 well done 👍 What a man you have there Tara, Crusoe’s got the best with you two. There is no way I could have done that walk so thanks for taking me there. I think I’ll have a pint as well actually it’s only 9am here I better hang back for a bit I think I’ll have a swim down at the beautiful Balmoral beach cheers🍻 … just before I go I’m blown away with seeing the amazing pangolin, my granddaughters favourite animal she is so aware of the terrible trafficking 🥲
Hi Denise, Great to hear from you friend, its been quite a week! your grand daughter has excellent taste in favourite animals, sounds like she has her head screwed on. What a wonderful experience we have been able to enjoy this week, the giraffe meeting Crusoe was probably our favourite bit. Hope you enjoyed your pint friend! See you next week. 🙏👍🦒🐘❤️
Well done John for overcoming his fear, a wonderful example for Crusoe! I see the little man is crawling now, that'll keep you on your toes!😁 What a great experience to meet those fantastic animals at close range, Wild is Life are doing an excellent job! Thanks for taking us along.
Hi Claire! Great to hear from you friend, its been quite a week! Crusoe is crawling and fast!!! We can hardly keep up. Loving ZIM but next week we very much hope to head into Botswana. 🤞thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍❤️🦒🦒🐘
Absolutely awesome. I have never commented on any channel before but each week I am so impressed with the love and care you show not only for each other but for this beautiful earth as well. Thank you so much for such a delightful example of family and travel.
Thank you so much Lili, what a kind and wonderful comment to receive. We’re so grateful for the support and look forward to having you along for the journey!
Oh my goodness! My legs were like jelly as you all were walking over the last bridge! Just amazing! I couldn't help wonder what Crusoe was thinking as he watched the Giraffe! He just kept his eyes on the Giraffe the whole time. You guys are the best! Thanks again for a great video! Just wow!!!
Lovely video and it brings back special memories of my visits there. Last one was 2002. The bridges weren't there then and although it would be an amazing experience walking across them I prefer to remember the Mtarazi Falls in their natural beauty without man made structures spoiling the view. You also used to be able to walk down to the top of the falls and that was a pretty spectacular view too. I didn't know about the elly sanctuary. So you are ex Zim then Tara? Me too. I look forward to watching some more of your videos in due course. God Bless.
Hi Hugh! Great to hear from you friend, especially an ex Zim, its been quite a week! The views of the falls are something else. Wow, we have such a wonderful country. The elephant sanctuary was great, our favourite bit quite possibly the giraffe hanging out with Crusoe. Wonderful. Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🦒🐘❤️
John there is nothing like a supportive wife when on a suspension bridge. 😂😂 Well done in facing the fear. Great footage again both and always a pleasure watching your posts. As other comments state always a pleasure to see your posts on a Sunday.
Hi David!! Exactly! Nothing quite like a supportive wife when you’re hanging around 700 meters in the sky!! Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏🦒🐘❤️
Hi Bill! How are you? Lovely to hear from you. Wild is Life is a terrific project. Super cool that Crusoe got so close to Giraffes!! Be well friend 🙏🐘🦒❤️
Wow this is definitely one of my favourites. John I am with you, there is absolutely no chance I would ever walk across any of those bridges. Oh how I am going to miss you all xx
Hi mum! Thank you for always supporting us on our journey. Next of course Botswana and lots of work and adventure ahead. We will for sure be checking in regularly and we see about getting back to ZiM soon. ❤️❤️🙏
Well done John for walking the 90m bridge! You certainly lived up to the moto of “be brave”. I know someone else that needs the same recognition for letting you take the Cruiser!! Hahahahahaha
Hey Felix!! BE BRAVE! You nailed it there. Bloody terrifying!! Hahaha. Good for Eelco, he must sweat when he loses sight of the cruiser!! 😂😂😂❤️👍 Next up Botswana, and then we got flight booked for 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
WTG Jon, you did it! I know how you feel. I and my cousin walked across a suspension bridge here a few years ago. There were so many people on it healthier than us and it was swinging etc. There was no harness and I can honestly say, never again. So awesome feeding the giraffes and the elephant rescue touched my heart.
This is one of the best Adventures I've watched this week, the views are 💯 beautiful ❤️ Africa 🌍 is beautiful and finally but not least you got a beautiful wife and adorable little one,I'm a content creator as well and I recommend this, usa 🇺🇲

I must congratulate you both, especially you mate, as I can’t handle heights anymore, I get vertigo. I even had to not watch you cross I listened though. Kudos to you both and especially for not transferring your fears to Caruso, John well done 🙏👏👏
This has to be my favourite one from you guys!! I'm petrified of heights never used to be only past few years don't know why it started. I live very close to alton towers and went monthly there as got free tickets but for some reason I can't even walk on a bridge now . Well done John proud of you. I love elephants and giraffe 🦒 how lucky u guys really are

Thank you Jaqueline that means the world for John to hear. It was a crazy walk and John is so afraid of being up high! We loved this episode too!!👍🙏❤️

Hi Lisa! Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend. the giraffe was our favourite moment. We are so grateful to have had these experiences. Thanks so much for taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏🦒🦒🐘

Hi Anouk!! Thanks as always for your support and for watching. What a week we have had!! Wild is life is such a cool project we were so pleased to have visited. See you next week friend. 🐘👍🙏❤️
What a marvellous video as you confronted Nature at it’s wildest. Loved every minute of it. Great recording !
A truly amazing vlog, think this is my favourite one yet. Poor John I would have been the same. You are so brave to do it I think I would have chickened out 😂😂
Wow the scene with the giraffe 🦒 was so moving as he looked at crusoe.
Hi Denise, Great to hear from you friend, its been quite a week! Walking over the bridge was a really big deal for John. Phew!! We were also so lucky to visit Wild is Life! Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏🐘🦒

Quite right George. Nothing a wonderful as an African sunrise. 🌅 Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend. 🙏🌍🦒
Congrats John on the crossing of the bridge! I am not sure if I could do it! Admiration for all of you!
This is another amazing episode… thank you❤️
Thanks Carol!! 🙏❤️🐘🦒
Great fun. 👍🐘🙏❤️

The elephants were great and the giraffe our favourite bit. Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏❤️🐘🦒
Hi guys what a brilliant day …… the walk way was amazing well done for making it 😀 and oh my god elephants giraffe and a pangolin brilliant such an amazing sanctuary doing great work. Cheered us both up on a very cold Monday morning here in Brighton. X

❤️❤️❤️
G'day, I'm loving all your posts. I'll never see these places, so looking at them, i feel I've been there.😊
Bon Voyage and safe travel special family. Always sad to day goodbye but look forward to the next hello.
Amazing fortitude John. Mike and Lau

Hi Natalie, thanks so much friend. We are so excited to have you join us on all our adventures! ❤️❤️❤️
Well done Jon. That was amazing. You deserve a pint…. Or two 👍👍👍👏👏👏😯😯😯
Thanks Karen!! Phew that was a challenging week. Thanks for watching friend. 👍🙏🐘
Well done John for overcoming his fear, a wonderful example for Crusoe! I see the little man is crawling now, that'll keep you on your toes!😁 What a great experience to meet those fantastic animals at close range, Wild is Life are doing an excellent job! Thanks for taking us along.

Thank you so much Lili, what a kind and wonderful comment to receive. We’re so grateful for the support and look forward to having you along for the journey!
Truly amazing. Thank you for a most entertaining video. I just loved it ❤
Oh my goodness! My legs were like jelly as you all were walking over the last bridge! Just amazing! I couldn't help wonder what Crusoe was thinking as he watched the Giraffe! He just kept his eyes on the Giraffe the whole time. You guys are the best! Thanks again for a great video! Just wow!!!
Ahh thanks so much Laura! Showing Crusoe these things is what this little adventure is all about. Love that you’re a part of it. 🙏🏼
Thank you! I never knew Zimbabwe was so beautiful! And thank you for the videos of the bridges, falls and amazing views. 👍

Hi Peter! A very scary day for John, but we did it! I think John will agree with you when you say never again!! ❤️🙏👍
