After using this detachment I really love the Indomitors. I have tried using the Spectrus and Fortis and they seem to lack damage for the points. I think part of the problem is the Killteams are are fairly costly and normal Space Marine bodies are bad durability for their points. So I'm thinking of sticking to Indomitors and Terminators. Deathwatch Veterans seem actually decent. 100 points for a 5 man with two invulns on them. I'm thinking two Indomitors and 2 Termi squads as the base for the army list.
Fortis is actually quite good. Great range threat. It's mainly good into elite/horde infantry, and hellfire rounds vs things like custodes is what's really needed
@xeticus5435 it is an investment sure. When I'm making lists for them my auto take are indomitor, Fortis, 1-2 10 man DW vets (planning to make one pure melee with shields no range) watch master on either vets or Fortis for that juicy advance/fall back, shoot and charge and the non specific rites of battle, and a judiciar with one of the vets for fight first.
Great game! As a long time gsc player, love seeing them on stream. One thing I wanted to call out since I think it's a major change that's not being talked about enough IMO, you have to wait to deep strike Cult ambush until after the first time they could have come in with the token, so the aberrants couldn't have deep struck until turn 3.
Fun times with Gravis: Inquisitors can join Battleline units, Indomitor states if you can join Heavy Intercessors (which are Battleline) you can join the squad. Allows you to give the Gravis an 6+ Invuln, 4+ Invuln vs Psychic/Daemons, psychic "don't shoot me" with +1 to hit non-Imperium and non-Chaos, or Anti-Psyker 4+ with +1 to hit vs Below Half Strength targets. Can also instead mix the Apothecary Biologis in with a squad (even if it has a Gravis Captain) to make it more of a "deathstar" (point sink) if you really want. Get Lethal Hits added in for the Auto-Boltstorms, Fragstorms, and Meltas, on top of the +2 strength against closest targets/on the charge.

@@mikepopovici4810 I can see them using Kraken rounds and hitting infantry with -3 AP. I like them but I find it hard to fit them into a list.

Sincerely enjoyed !!!
With the release of Fulgrim it should be 6 plastic Primarchs..

I don’t believe that’s true. It’s just Strat Reserves with no Rapid Ingress. No other restrictions.
