We dunk on Penflash a lot (and rightly so usually), but let's give him some recognition here. In less than a year man went from observing and casting inhouses out of boredom to solo observing a professional tourney and doing a fantastic job. As someone who saw him seeking out information from the best observers in the business I just wanna give him his props for wanting to improve, following through with it, and putting it all together. Penflash I hope you build a portfolio with your work from this event and continue forward with this if you desire. That round with the raze jumping the trip wire was such a great job of telling the story of a round and catching that as a SOLO observer is just so so good.
It's actually very T sided at higher levels, these people just didn't know how to play team 5v5s and map control, was a bit infuriating watching them play like it's a ranked game. In the round in the beginning of the video, it was literally a showcase of how not to play 5v5 games and you could instantly see that these teams were just a bunch of immortals grouped up without months of practice or a proper IGL behind the wheel (I know from experience, i've done this in cs 1.6, go and Valorant usually, group with a bunch of other Radiants and demolish 100$ tournaments against other non organized teams). They full stacked at one side of the map, against an eco, without proding the map and seeing if there's a stack anywhere first. The sky flash at the start is just a waste, since they didn't change their route off of it not giving any info, which makes it seem like the IGL called for "fake B", a standard ranked call, which doesn't work in high ranks or organized play, unless executed properly. There's other issues like stacking one side of the map and not controlling it, but let's say that's not a huge mistake, they still don't execute it properly. Wtf are you doing sending your only info gatherer away from your team? You need the flash to see how much space you can take while contacting, it's very common to have people play aggresive positions on a site that they're stacking, so that info can save you the round. Even so, there's about 7 more mistakes I saw for this strat of the top of my head, but I've already gotten way too explanationy. TL;DR - Nah, it's just that these teams are sadly not good enough to play around with the map control concept, which is probably the most important aspect of this map. That, plus it's always harder to attack if you're not organized, which these teams weren't, they're prolly uncontracted dudes chilling and having fun, meaning they don't spend 8hrs a day training and making sure there's no mistakes.
@literallywho4661 you do realize thats the average work hour length, and the amount specified when signing with any serious pro team? Ive been on a lot of T2/T3 teams in my career and most of them had required 6hrs of scrimming and 2hrs of free play (aim training, grinding rank or deathmatch), and they were mostly shit orgs with 2 dudes out of the main roster - a coach and a manager. So imagine how much people on teams like FNC and G2 have to put in on a workday, 8hrs is probably an underestimate, hell even streamers play for 8hrs a day and still most of them dont even reach Radiant level
I know dasnerth was in the tournament but should he be in the thumbnail if hes not in the video? I dont really think so but not a huge deal ig. Tournament was pretty sick regardless
Hey Mr.Banana, I have a question. I just did the aimlabs playlist and because I was curious I tried the 1v1 mode as well ( I know I shouldn’t but I was too curious sorry) but when I checked my settings and the settings of my enemy I found out that my Dpi on Aimlabs is 800 but that is not true because my Dpi is actually 600. Now I fear that I could have build wrong muscle memory, but before I panick I wanted to ask you whether you or maybe someone else could know whether it is a bug, nothing but a display error or something that could effect my muscle memory. Thank You (I corrected grammar)
maybe at this level of play. in tier 1 it depends on the comp. viper comps do well on defense but are absolute garbage on attack. the other comps ive seen teams play so far are way better at attacking than defending

Love the apple and watermelon casters! Really cements it as a woohoojin tournament with them
Woohoojin x Professional Valorant content, it's the DREAM!
Day 10 of woohoojin being part of my daily routine
Dasnerth doesn’t even make it to the grand finals but still gets put in the thumbnail. Honestly based as hell.
Thanks for making cool stuff like this, this was a lot of fun!
Awesome tournament. Only wish Hooj was one of the casters.
Thank you, woohoojin! I reached Diamond yesterday 🥳
holy hell sunset really is defender sided
this was great!

8 hours training LMAO.

Raze peaking left side after the short astra smoke to get raze back across, is some high level intuition
Just going to casually outdo the regular pro matches
Day 229 of thanking and appreciating Woohoojin for his educational and informative valorant content.

Thank you for the amazing content everydayy
