I work the Sesame Street parades, yes it is closed off for good since Sesame Street will no longer be part of SeaWorld. They have extended the fencing to where no one can access the stage (I have to go into the construction area during parade). I will miss Bay of Play since it's been there since I was a little girl

I'm pretty certain the removal of the Sesame Street Bay Of Play has something to do with a lawsuit that Sesame Workshop has brought up against the SeaWorld company. I sure am going to miss meeting the characters at SeaWorld San Antonio.
I’m a ride operator of the Bay of Play section of the park, and it’s sad that the section of the park is closing for good. At least I have been transferred to train at a different ride. Sesame Street has been an impactful IP of my childhood. I will surely miss it.

It will be missed for sure, it will always hold a place in my memories, I think a lot of ppl share the same sentiment.
That’s why it’s probably not that many people since right now there is not many rides,
Hopefully with Howl O Scream they will have more to do while Halloween is on and hopefully for the Holoday season they will make it without Bay of Play while they finish
I suspect it will be this way well into next year, it’s gonna be quite a renovation! I’m sure they’ll find a way to keep the kids entertained in the meantime.

The SpongeBob IP would fit in at SeaWorld more perfectly than Sesame Street, but I don't think we will ever see that IP come to the SeaWorld parks especially when the Universal Kids park in Frisco is going to have a SpongeBob section.
That would be so sick! I would love to see that too. It does seem like they’re going with their own IP though, especially with the return of Shamu & Friends.
Weird they closed it off without much notice, if they complete move from Sesame Street will be sad to see it go. Wonder how long it will take them to retheme it. Howl-O-Scream updates look good!
When clipping to your bag strap be careful, while at Universal Studios I had mine clipped to my backpack strap and it got loose and fell off. Luckily someone saw it and chased me down to return it.
Missed opening night for Fright Fest but will be back in time for Howl-O-Scream we'll see you there!
It will always hold a special place in my heart for the nostalgia alone. I think it’ll be under construction into next year, they have quite a bit to do if they’re really gonna convert it.

i went there in summer of 2023 and i have to say, even if bay of play stayed, i wouldn't have a reason to want to come back. like the sesame street IP was impactful to my life (anything jim henson related in all honesty), if it does get removed in favor of rescue jr, i would have another reason not to go back. i think seaworld san antonio is the least favorite of the seaworld/busch gardens/sesame place parks i visited, it's honestly half of a park in my opinion.
