A Motown Christmas is one I always play songs from because it makes me feel like a kid, the warm Christmas memories of visiting and gathering with family that we only saw a few times a year

@@amwilliams2006 I had some family members who lived in Detroit years ago who have since passed away. I’ve never been there. My brother claims Detroit as his hometown (we are Army brats) because he works in IT and likes to keep as much as his personal information private as possible. He was actually born in another country when our dad was stationed out of the country. Plus that always has people asking him he is a native of that country and he got tired of that 🤣 so he “adopted” a city know for many Black singers as his hometown since technically he doesn’t have one.

My mom loved everything about Christmas. We lost her in May so this will be a very different Christmas for the family this year. She was born on Christmas Day. We plan to celebrate her memory. Pray for us.

I have several Christmas albums I like, of course Frank Sinatra is the top of my list but, Harry Connick Jr, “when My Heart Finds Christmas” is so beautiful. I think all of my favorite Christmas Albums/CD's have been mentioned except Kirk Franklin and the Family Christmas. When I hear "Now behold the Lamb" it always gives me chills. There are also a couple of songs that are in my play list every year that I love: Eartha Kitt singing "Santa Baby" and James Brown Singing "Santa Claus go straight to the ghetto". This is a beautiful Christmas store. It makes me want to visit my friend in Tampa so she can take me to experience this one for myself.

Needless to say I put this video on mute and watched while listening to her album. I got to track 7, When You Wish Upon a Star. I’ll most definitely listen to it again though the holidays & when decorating.
