    Wednesday, October 28
    6pm PT / 9pm ET
Alicia Garza is an Oakland-based organizer, writer, public speaker, and freedom dreamer who is currently the Special Projects Director for the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the nation’s leading voice for dignity and fairness for the millions of domestic workers in the United States. Garza also co-founded Black Lives Matter, a globally recognized organizing project that focuses on combating anti-Black state-sanctioned violence and the oppression of all Black people. She is the author of The Purpose of Power: How We Come Together When We Fall Apart, a twenty-first-century organizer’s manifesto that draws on this generation’s particular strengths, and calls for a new paradigm for change. The book is an essential guide to building the type of movements that can address the challenges of our time.
Two-time World Cup Champion and co-captain of the US Women’s National Team, Megan Rapinoe is a fan favorite and one of the team’s most technical players. A vocal leader on and off the pitch, Rapinoe helped lead the USWNT to the 2019 Women’s World Cup Championship, and took home the tournament’s two top honors - the Golden Boot for top scorer, and the Golden Ball for the best player in the tournament. Rapinoe is an advocate for equality for all, and intersects her passion for humanity with a palpable authenticity that has affected soccer enthusiasts and fans from off the field, alike.
