Performed by the Shoreline Community College Concert Band at the Edmonds Arts Center on Nov 10, 2016. Directed by Ken Noreen. Battle Cry for Freedom by George Frederick Root/Noah D. Taylor.
This guy needs a history lesson. there was no presidential election in 1862, it was 1860, Lincoln re-elected 1864. Then he said it was a Confederat song? A grand Union song with lyrics to prove it. God almighty where do they find these people?
The Confederacy DID make a version of the song. You can find it on UA-cam right now. As for the election, he just misstated the date. He said Lincoln/Johnson ticket so he meant the 1964 election. Lincoln's running mate in the 1960 election was Hannibal Hamlin.
This is really well played
Lincoln's the best!
Very nice arrangement of a great piece of music!
thank you
