Man I feel you. Divorce with a 11 and 7 year old. I miss my family. I got strung out on drugs. I didn't start until my daughter was born. The struggles of being a good dad was overwhelming. Responsibly was heavy so I tried self medicating. Four years clean and sober and I now have the best relationship with my ex. My kids adore me. Hang in there buddy. Keep doing the next right thing
I co parent with my sons mother he’s about to be 5, and I was just talking to my mom about this. I’m literally broken when I don’t have my son I feel I have nothing to live for. Everyone tells me the different vibe and glow I have when I am around my son.. it really is sad but anyone who tries to take their kids from a mother or father are evil. I just pray and hope the weekend goes by fast so I can get my lil man.
I bet that "Lil man" thinks his Dad is the greatest. Find strength in knowing he loves you and you can be that Dad. Don't get too discouraged because no matter what, you have that Lil man believing in you even when he's away from you. Sometimes you've gotta look hard for joy, but you're always a step ahead when you at least know where to find it.
Hang in there, your children need you. Even in all your pain they still need you. That is what being a real parent is. People are so selfish these days.
My brother married at 17, wife had baby at 19, divorced at 21. However, their daughter was #1. She saw her dad whenever she wanted , they had rules, no girlfriends/boyfriends in the home when either one had their daughter. They dated but never brought anyone home. Their daughter is now a mother herself and was glad her parents, although young, were very mature when it came to her. It is hard not to be around your children all the time, and even harder when one parent decides to difficult. Your children, will always need you. Remember you have amazing kids.
Dad's tell your kids to love and honor their mom. Moms tell the kids to honor and love their Dad. God gave you something beautiful in those children! Love them and teach them to love!
I never saw these feelings from my dad. I never knew how he felt after he dropped us off back at my mother's place after a weekend visit. Thank you for sharing this.
I dropped my 3 sons at their mom, and my youngest son wouldn’t let go off me…. We both spend crying for 10 min before I took his hand of my neck and handed him to his mom…. Sucks
Every week I have to take my 6 year old daughter to a place she dreads. She often cries... Having to hand her over anyway is the most powerless feeling, breaks my heart every time.
After my divorce I was dating this woman and my daughter was able to come over every other weekend. One weekend, maybe 3 months after we got a place together, she decided to come with me to drop my daughter off. I watched as she ran up to her mom, and then turned around to wave at me. I went to drive off but I heard my gf crying. I asked what was wrong and she's like 'I don't ever want to see that look on your face, it's so heartbreaking watching you watch her walk away". It really is just the absolute worst feeling in the world.
Can definitely relate man. I remember the hardest thing about the break up for me was coming home and not having my son there everyday anymore. When dropping him off he would wave good bye run to the door and look back to wave again. I would see him through the window looking as I drove off. Some women try to keep the kids away from their fathers but don’t ever stop fighting for your kids. Kids need their dads. You can never get those years back when they’re young.
I recall those days. Man, it hurt to the core! Now my boys are grown up. My youngest is living his dream of serving our country as a Marine. Love my boys!
My sister is 6 years older than me. She usually slept against the wall of the car, but one time on a long car trip when I was maybe 11, she fell asleep and had her head on my leg. She always hated the long drives, and usually tried to sleep a lot of the way. It was incredibly uncomfortable for me that day, Mackenzie's not wrong, and she was asleep forever, but no way in hell was I going to disturb her. The little bro here is just sharing a sad moment with his sis, and I think she's feeling sad as well. It was sweet to see them together like that.
What a great video I have a 3 year old little boy. Oh man he is my word I work overnights and my fiance works days I stay home during the day to watch him. I'm glad I got to see him walk and talk I never missed anything thats such a great feeling as a father. Some father's don't get to experience it. I wish all dads out there could. I wish I had a dad. The love he has for his children is beautiful. Some of us.. especially girls.. need this love and have never gotten it. I'm almost 30 and it still affects me alot.
It really does have more effect than people think . My ex years ago got with a guy nearly 30 years older that looked remarkably like her dad when we split. She left him for the spitting image of her stepdad a few years later. I laughed when I found out but thinking back She was always talking about how her dad favoured her brother and how her stepdad disliked her. Made me grow up a bit and realise it was obviously a real problem She had during her teens and still to this day . Just hoping she's actually happy and not just looking for acceptance these days
@@richcudo3087 yes it really is a deep trauma. A father's presence, love and support is critical to any child but girls especially. And we look for that love our whole lives. It is so sad to watch and as a dad myself, I can feel his pain. And that's why I'm a strong believer in talking through your differences with your spouse, never allow things to build up until it becomes difficult to resolve. Forgive, be responsible, learn to accept other people's imperfections while focusing on what brought you together as a couple.
Great advice, but unfortunately both parties have to be willing to do that. My ex wife screwed our family up royally after 20 solid years for some slimeball that crawled up through the sewer of Facebook messenger and talked her into ruining all of our lives. There was no reaching her.

My husband and I split up for 5 years before reconciling 3 years ago (thank the Lord). During that 5 years the children and I moved out but only 15 minutes away. We spent most every weekend all together because it was best for our children. My husband had the kids on his days off work (he's an officer so he could have 4 sometimes 5 days off at a time occasionally). I didn't just drop them and run, we would often all have breakfast/lunch or dinner together. Same when he picked them up. He and I made it work for them, not for us. Doing so meant our children were still happy AND it allowed us to fall back in love and slowly move past our problems. With or without reconciliation it was the best way to do things. My husband and I never got the courts involved. If you can be mature enough to organise it yourselves, don't get the courts involved. The man is almost certain to lose and lose bad... But the children do too.
I would frequently have to pull off the road after dropping my daughter off to her mother to break down and cry. This gives me all of the feels. Much respect!

He waited 13 yrs after their divorce so he could focus on being there for them. Love yourself. Love your kids. Breathe.

As a single father of two amazing kids, I feel this guys pain every time I drop off my kids.
I'm in the same boat
Do you want to trade? I'll take all week and every other weekend off.
U mean 3 there’s a boy in the back
Beautiful family. I feel the love. Voice is amazing!
Dad's tell your kids to love and honor their mom. Moms tell the kids to honor and love their Dad.
God gave you something beautiful in those children! Love them and teach them to love!

:( cant it be fixed tho... im sure u love her. Lets forget about the hurtful things thats said...
Children are the unfortunate casualties of divorce. Keep moving forward. You got this.
I hope things are getting better for you man. Much love❤️
Ohh may u have found the one this time , I think she is a keeper
You’d be surprised how much god is in control of. Lean on god and he will restore your land. That’s his promise.
What’s up with this “every other weekend” nonsense?!?
Can definitely relate man. I remember the hardest thing about the break up for me was coming home and not having my son there everyday anymore. When dropping him off he would wave good bye run to the door and look back to wave again. I would see him through the window looking as I drove off. Some women try to keep the kids away from their fathers but don’t ever stop fighting for your kids. Kids need their dads. You can never get those years back when they’re young.
Wonderful voice with a strong daddy !
❤️
I recall those days. Man, it hurt to the core! Now my boys are grown up. My youngest is living his dream of serving our country as a Marine. Love my boys!
Little bro resting his head on his sister might be the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen 😌
Sure, it’s sweet but if your in a car for a long time it gets INCREDIBLY annoying. I speak from personal experience.
@@ceilingunlimited2430 that’s true. I just couldn’t see past the annoyance of having a sibling on me for an extended period of time.
@samuel4603 that's fair. You're right.
The hardest thing is having to pick where you want to live most of the time. Because you don’t want to make either of your parents upset.
There is no win for the kids.
Sometimes it a court order sometimes unfortunately 😭 it sad that the court has to pick where they live sometimes unfortunately
Exactly .. I don't wanted to dissapointed them but yet they never actually asked about how I felt
Yeah absolutely
It's a bit hard to decide because fathers in my country act too close with their daughters. But I'm safe with my mom since my dad is away.
He had tears of joy. He loved how his daughter has a beautiful singing voice. She has a beautiful singing voice.
Keep fighting for your kids everything will work out. God bless you all.
Is nobody talking about the fact that she is an amazing singer? Like she’s so good at singing I could listen to her all day ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

You're smart girl
You are far too young to even be on here.
I'm still in trauma therapy. For more than just that but some of the other stuff I'm in therapy for could have been avoided if I had that love from a father. Often times my other traumatic events one way or another stem back to that. It's very important.
Awh Autumn!! I’m so sorry that you’ve never had an earthly father but just know that Jesus loves you so much and that when you except him as your father than he will fill every void in your heart and every broken piece of you and put it back together.

So glad you worked through it this way and reconciled. All the best.
