Hi everyone, we see there is a lot of discussion regarding the top to bottom washing of this truck.
When washing a vehicle using conventional methods you firstly apply soap, wash using a sponge or a broom and then rinse off with water from the top to the bottom.
Touchless washing is a bit different.
Soap is applied through a high pressure foamer and then high pressure water is used as a “sponge or a broom". The water is worked back into fresh soap, either from the bottom to the top or backwards in the case of trucks and trailers etc. In this way, the soap is used more efficiently. (If you wash from the top down, you would simply wash the soap off the vehicle which defeats the purpose). Then rinse from the top down to finish the cleaning process.
Hello, do you have a representative in Brazil? I would like to purchased some products.
If you say so...
It's better to just rinse from top to bottom first, then apply soap, and then rinse from top to bottom again.
You waste less water, time, and money doing it this way
👌👌👌
I think the chemical of the soap needs a time to react on the surface so thats why he starts from the bottom to the top. Then rinse from the bottom first so that the soap get enough time at the top to react effectively.
we pros start from the top.
Is it weird to see them start from the bottom and go up.
Seriously why from the bottom and doesn’t clean the wheels right
@@termainethompson3601 that's what she said 😏😅

from the top will be not clean and waste water , dirty water going down more dirty

Stian Myrdal Laursen we washed my grandfathers truck top to bottom and he had four and my uncles so Ik a thing or two about washing trucks
It's better to start from the top ,because u use
Less water and less hand move ment
Bhanu Agrawal also he din”t do the roof too
First thing I noticed!! Car washing 101. Wash and rinse top to bottom.
Why he does not start from top?👀
This way the lower parts get extra time to soak. Then rinse from top to bottom. Grtz
aplicação de sabão é de baixo para cima e a retirada do sabão é de cima para baixo, se gasta menos tempo e água .
Qual é o produto ?
I was thinking the same.
ua-cam.com/video/F2ua4ZEHQc8/v-deo.html that’s why. 😉
As a semi pro, I get the bottom to top thing and also get that so much has been cut out but the back of the unit and back of the 5th wheel pin block on trailer had been missed on Snow foam and first initial rinse, meaning irrelevant of futher work it was never cleaned properly to start with and is one reason I now clean my own truck rather than pay for a "professional" amateur to mess it up. I can take an extra 2 hours knowing I don't miss a square inch on my truck at 1/3rd of the price to my boss.
Seeing all the dirt being washed from top to bottom is more satisfying. Saves time. 😎
With contactless washing you are supposed rinse into fresh soap because you effectively use the high pressure water as the sponge
actually it was bottom to top.
No it doesn't and it is less effective and needs more time and water and wasted the soap mostly
@@IronWarrior95
Incorrect
Washing from bottom to top would only cause the person to rinse the bottom AGAIN after all the dirt from the top settles at the bottom.
Top to bottom is the most logical and most efficient.
I could do that all day and never get bored.
Go to blue beacon and get payed to do it
It drives me nuts that he starts rinsing from the bottom

@@NertaOfficial
this is not true when you wash from bottom to top the soap you rinse with water falls down to the part youve already rinsed
The dirt will come down no matter what due to gravity
But if you wash from top to bottom it comes down in one act leaving a cleaner finish.

My brain got relaxed watching this and I was feeling like I am standing in a water park where everywhere water is showering like it's rain at high pace.
Só uma dúvida pq n lavar primeiro de cima p/ baixo ?
Might be a dumb question, but isn’t it better to rinse the dirt off, then soap it?
Yeah it is it ensures more comes off but pretreatment first also helps break the dirt up either way if it was me if pre rinse soap go from the top to the bottom and repeat one more time then one final rinse
Soap breaks up the dirt better than water.
Same as car wash 🙂
If he did it from top to bottom this vehicle would you cleaned quicker and youd save more water by doing so.
@Stian Myrdal Laursen no because I'm dont have one🤣 your name doesnt sound English.. sounds Welsh but that's by the by😊😊
I love watching trucks get cleaning and love watching oil changes too so satisfying.
I’m sure that wash took a lot of quarters.
😂😂😂
rinsing bottom up is the correct way, this way you don't loose the cleaning product. By the time he reaches the top there is still detergent to work with, if you work from the top by the time you get to the bottom the detergent is all rinsed off and so you have no cleaning agent to work with. obviously a final rinse takes place from the top down and you can see this in the video. Seems there are a lot of people who should be educated by the video rather than criticising it!!
Did everyone see how clean the truck was when he was finished? There is a very good reason after letting it soak that he starts from the bottom and works his way up. I don’t feel like explaining it. LOL trust me he knows what he’s doing.
he don't know shit! if he did then why does he have to go back to the same spot to rinse off the dirt he allowed to drip on. no explanation needed.
@@rhvreramon its hard to argue with stupid ignorant like you
I work at blue beacon (a truck wash) and this just hurt the watch. He pretty much just washed it backwards than how you are supposed to. All that dirt is just falling back down to where he cleaned already

But during the 19 years I was valeting it was always top to bottom so the dirty water did not do its job again
Keep up the great work 👍👌
Scandinavian roads have higher diluted salt on the roads, so going down up makes sure the pressure has gone over the whole vehicle😉

It's terrible that 90% of the people are idiots who don't understand any shit, that touchless cleaning is different and that top to bottom wouldn't make any sense and won't make the process efficient. 90% of the people are obviously not smart enough to understand that...
No, this isn't soap, it's a traffic film remover, bottom to top makes full use of the product and doesn't just wash it away.

That's really nice 👍..
Seems this method consumes more water🌊💧 than regular wash???
Oh dear me, this comment section is toxic. Okay, pay attention to fully capitalized words as they're important. I'll only make one attempt at this, here goes:
When you do a regular wash, as in with a bucket and sponge/wash mitt, you would do top to bottom. Yes that is correct. BUT! A touchless wash, is done bottom to top. Let me explain why and do try to understand this before you start typing.
What a car soap does generally is to LIFT dirt off the surface and ENCAPSULATE as much as it can. The soap is also designed to easily ATTACH itself to water. So when you spray that snow foam onto the vehicle's surface... the soap will try to lift the dirt and encapsulate it (grab onto it). So what happens when you wash top to bottom? As you rinse from the top: dirt, soap, and water will start FLOWING down. This flowing water will then grab the soap down with it. Does this pull the dirt the soap was holding on to? NO. Why? The pull of the water on the soap is stronger than the soap's grab on the dirt. And the dirt is stuck to the vehicle surface STRONGER than the soap's PULL. This is where the pressure washer comes in handy. The strength of water will knock the dirt that has been loosen up by the soap and thus clearing it off the vehicle's surface. You want the soap to still be there lifting and encapsulating the dirt when you knock it with the pressured water. Because a flowing water WILL NOT do the trick. Hence, bottom to top.
Wrong
@@adamdavis2788 gravity denier.
What's the name of the soap you use. We've been look an trying all kinds of stuff but we still have to use brush to scrub the trucks.
Well since we are all stick inside or atleast at home because of Corona virus here I am at 5:48 am watching power washing videos.
What is the pressure of the water released from the gun??
I was halfway through typing my own comment but then saw everyone else has put the same lol 😂😂
How is this touchless washing even possible? Is it really that clean? I have been washing using hands all my life! Tell me is it because of the soap? If you use a regular car soap like a Meguiar's, would it be the same?
@@adamdavis2788 so basically an alkaline based soap does the most work rather than whether if its using snow foam or diluted in water. And by using alkaline-based soap, it will attract dust and dirt faster in the coming days. Is that right?
@@adamdavis2788 I did not mention about attracting more dirt but rather attracting dirt much faster after the wash with an alkaline-based soap. Anyway, given using the same ph neutral soap like TurtleWax or Meguiar's, does a snow foam helps in removing dirt more effectively or just dilute it with water and scrub with microfiber towel is the same?
As a former supervisor and trainer at Blue Beacon, a couple of things to note:
His spray distance when washing is a little far, especially when washing the tires.
He's not hitting his front and rear angles well. It's best to physically be next to the truck so those angles are much tighter.
When washing the top of the trailer, he's not lifting his arm. This causes an improper wash angle on the top (the bottom edge of the spray is much closer than the top). Lifting your arm helps that spray to be nice and even.
Of course, the wash bottom-to-top is cringey as well.
Soap application was very good besides the issues with the angles.
Soap product seems to work very well.

and after 50 billion years gravity still works the same. Top to bottom.
So about how many quarters does it take to get one of those tankers clean?

Be aware , this video is on A speed run. The average time to wash A vehicle this size is about (45m - 1hr) , not counting cleaning wheel frames or checking tire gauges.
Most truckers wash bottom up due to how thick the build up gets when going top to bottom. At least in my area when we clean the fleet it’s MUCH easier to pressure wash bottom to top, than top to bottom.
I don't care how you look at that still makes any sense at all top to bottom is the best way to go
