This bassist should be ashamed. This is an absolute unprofessional unprepared performance missing notes and just all over the place reading charts looking lost. NO EXCUSE. I was at the show and I was embarrassed for Miki who in spite of it all did a good job. She was nervous but this guy being unprepared just floored me. It’s not like this was last min as they knew Moose the normal 3rd member is scared to fly. Miki is way more patient than I would be. I found it very disappointing. I mean in the end she should not be in this position. Moose should have manned up and gotten over his fear for his partner in life and music. It hurt the band which already has no drummer and that bassist should not be a factor. She deserves better. It’s a solid comeback attempt for her but she needs a better full band that have her back. That guy being that unprepared is disrespectful when she’s selling hundreds of tickets to die hard fans. I also think Miki needs to do Desire Lines and a couple more Lush songs to round out the set. Wish her well. Her mom was there and I’m happy to see her doing it. I admire her as a fellow artist and want to see her get to where I truly think she can ascend. These guys around her need to step up or she needs to get ones that will. Wish her well.
Sorry to hear about this, she deserves better. If she ever comes back, hopefully she'll have a better backup band. I agree with you regarding Desire Lines, I'd love to hear that live along with the b-side White Wood. Just curious, was she selling copies of her book at the show?
