It's weird how when you once go Metal in your life you always stay Metal. Whenever I feel down I do a big round up about all and every rock/metal song I like, from Alice in chains to Gorgoroth, from The offspring to Dimmu borgir... Metal is the realest.
Too true. I've never known someone who says "Oh I *used* to listen to metal. I switched and listen to rap/whatever now". Our Dads were around when metal was invented. They're still listening to it. So will we, when we get that age someday.
Hamza Oukkad I listen to it before bed, well, this band anyways. It calms something deep inside me.
yup, been loving listening to Metal for over 40 years .. grew up on NWOBHM through Trash/Speed/Death/Gothic/Doom+Black genres !! Saw these guys pre_CoronaLockdown :-)
@@averyfatcyborg8100 that's just what I'm doing now at 2:20 am. \m/
This song got me into Amon Amarth... it still has the same power and chaos as when I listened to it for the first time!
@@Kriegsbeil5577 now I'm in those days, I'm 45 and have been listen to metal since I was 12 years old!!
It's their greatest song, one of the greatest in the history of metal!
They never made a bad song. All are great.
@@SabberJupp exactly
This is clearly one of the best metal songs of all time 🤘
Yeah,only their good song...ok best..
Agree.
The drums sound so badass at this song!
Still one of their greatest songs
#1
Brought to you by Head and Shoulders
"The only brand I trust with my luscious locks" -Johan hegg XD
Yea
L'Oreal Paris, because metal is worth it.
Best comment ever
I wonder if they produce their own i mean they do sell beardbalm and stuff...
I love the aesthetic of this video. Even when it came out around 2002, it looked old af. Like it was recorded in the 80's.
Has a calming effect on me.
Tanasi Tim after watching mastodon it’s true... “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” CRASH SMASH BOOM!!! 😈
I had a spontaneous kundalini awakening to this back in the day lol.
S
The same, energy in music, i relax!
@@maskcollector6949 How did you survive that kundalini awakening? Lol
@@halestorm123 Considering my eyelids curled upwards and my hands and toes curled inwards and every muscle in my body contracted (bhandas/joint locks) and I felt like I was completely on fire and about to lift off the ground, barely, lol. Just Willpower. Amon Amarth helped.
Still to this day one of my favorite tunes.
synchronizing head banging should definitely be an olympic sport!
on god
Versus the World is the best metal album of all time for me. I put it ahead than my other all time favorites like Seventh Son, Somewhere in time, Terminal Spirit Disease, Jester Race, Whoracle, Ascendancy, Fall of Ideals, An Ocean Between Us, From Mars to Sirius, Lefnant Sauvage, Toxicity, Sound of Preservence, Rust in Peace, Ride the lightning, Kill them all, Painkiller, Black Sabbath, Cowboys from hell, Reign in Blood, Leviathan and Lateralus
The drummer guy is epic indeed
Legend has it that Sweden is powered solely by the windmills of Amon Amarth. Pollution free and epic! Metal on!
If anyone ever asks you what does heavy metal sound like, play them this.
but this is death metal
@Duane McCauley they have a unique mixture of brutal/heavy and melodic imo, which is what makes them special compared to many other melodeath bands
I know I'm 4 years late but... Melodic Death Metal ;) (at it's best, I don't know any melodeath bands that can top em :p)
@@lashedandscorned they call it "melodic death metal", bro ! )
Heavy Metal? Poser, this is Melodeath
Simple, yet epic. A rare commodity in metal today. Amon Amarth is one of those bands that showed me that you dont need flashy riffs to make a great fucking song. It makes learning how to play easier, thats for fecking sure lol
Indeed
The wait is soon at end
Always charge, never bend
Morning is here, make your stand
Live for honor, glory, death in fire
Total war is here
Face it without fear
Age of sword, age of spear
Fight for honor, glory, death in fire
See the fire rise
Flames are raging high
Soon all will burn and die
Burn for honor, glory, death in fire
Storm of lethal flames
Only death remains
Ragnarok is closing in
Die for honor, glory, death in fire
Forces of chaos are on the move
Everyone, choose your side
And know the day is coming soon
The day for all to die
The day is here when Bifrost breaks
Nor sun or moon will rise
When the dead rise from their graves
And Surtur spreads his fire
All you know will wither away
And sink into the sea
A new world will be born one day
Where everyone is free
Total war is here, face it without fear
Age of sword, age of spear
Fight for honor, glory, death in fire
Storm of lethal flames
Only death remains
Ragnarok is our fate
Die for honor, die for glory
Die, death in fire
Thank you !
Hail Amon Amarth....Brutal
Hell yea
How can this metal gods only have 600k views?
'Cause the audio quality is overwhelmed by the shear EPICNESS of this song...
It's because people are getting dumber and dumber and listening to the bullshit they play on The Voice and the radio. Not a lick of common sense or working eardrums.
if you look up death in fire cobmaster it's almost at 6 million so they just uploaded it on the late side
1.1 million now
For me, this will be their most iconic song. If I think of Amon Amarth, I will think of Death In Fire!
TheIr only song I like
I first think of pursuit of Vikings or runes to my memory but death in fire is def top 5 iconic
Whenever I think of Amon Amarth at their greatest, this one always comes to mind, one of their best songs and that filthy riff is unmatched to this day 🤘
this was the first amon amarth song I heard, sometime around 2003. been a diehard fan ever since! I hope to Odin that they play this and an ancient sign of coming storm when I see them later this month!
Metal Dad Saw them last week in Oberhausen (germany) and it was so awsome !! Raise your Horn 😊
Did they?
Still my Favourite Song
The drums in this song are sick as hell
Does this song not make you feel like you could just charge full force into battle??
Tormented Art it’s called testosterone.
This is what metal was made for!!!!!
Feel like charging into battle, dude I have done it (a sport version) nothing feels the same as watching 4000 peeps running at you and you at them.
Or make a defiant and brave final stand in the face of your enemies to save your brothers and sisters in arms.
🤘🤘🤘🤘
This is my personal theme music. I play Amon Amarth when I mow my lawn, and traffic slows down to stare at all the destruction and violence involved. Also, my beard just got way longer. (Where did that ax come from?)
This song has much balls
I've never lost that adrenaline metal forever whether you play it, sing it or just listening to it
The song that got me into Amon Amarth. So forkin' good!
I would love to hear a remaster. It's an amazing song!
Metal is about power. Pure and raw, this song exemplifies it to the highest degree.
The best song and album they ever did
Amon Amarth creates nice music.
This is the exact song that woke up my spirit that makes me to listen to metal
Cant believe it’s been 12 years already dam
This song came out 21 years ago
I just saw Amon Amarth live for the first time in L.A. and when they played this amazing song I just headband out of control! I absolutely love this song and this group!!! They put on such an amazing show and sounded awesome live!!!

I miss the days when the video quality was shit but the music quality was amazing. Today it seems to be the opposite.
Hellz yeah dude
disagree, quallity of music today is much better than it was 10+ years ago, but imo artists aren’t so honest in their music today, cause they do what they do rather to get money than enjoying playing music
depends on you listen to tbh
death metal is has evolved so much
especially if you look at melodeath & tech death
Love & Respect, For The MASSIVE Alpha Male Energy Of AMON AMARTH! 💪
Igual que tú baby,es justo lo que ciento al escuchar a éstos maestros del metal.🎉🎉🎉
Aguante Amon Amarth From Ecuador!
Is this seriously the best quality of the video and audio? The album sounds amazing, this is tinny af
So billions Amon it in Amon, amarth. Together or amarth.
I love this band and the drummer is incredible
i absolutely love this song.
Absolute classic!
one of the best.....................................................
Favorite ringtone I've ever had and definitely the loudest, never missed a call with this.
Супер песня супер группы
Thanks i catch some flashbacks from my youth
Nothing gets me as pumped as this song does
Powerful Viking Metal!!!
When i came from greece i first heard this album along Pantera.Around that time like a movie its like a disease people dont like you and then you find that one thing you are good at.Then the real ones not the ones who mess you over are the ones that join you in your journey .At the same time things get stolen from you you get messed over by the fakest towns and people and in the end they all lose and you are still doing you're Journey to the passion you have.
I remember going to the cd store to buy this CD. Since then its still one of my favorite viking metal albums until this day. Most likely because of this cd and other cdsm i wanted to become a musician and thats exactly what happened.
the best song from Amon Amarth ...hell yeah /,,/
It's very valid, Journeyman. In fact, I'm here for the exact same reason---I love this band, too!
Hard to think when they played this i was six, and now they are my heroes!
awsome!
Good old times when AA was heavy and agressive
agreed, but they still are better than most modern metal bands
Their new stuff is pretty heavy. Shield wall slams
Weed + Skyrim + Amon amarth = good night
Holy shit, where did this beard and longsword come from?
Suffering and Glory are the greatest things history has ever seen, I think Amon Amarth can vouch for that.
from greece with love \m/
I think this has x2 of the most beautiful guitar solos.. Ever.. 🤘🏻⚡🤘🏻
If i led an army into bloody battle....this is my anthem
Лучшая песня "Amon Amarth" !!!
Can't decide which is more METAL. This song, or Master's Apprentice - Opeth
The 2nd Greatest intro to any song in the history of music. No offense, but Crazy Train takes #1 .... but damn I love this
What do you think about all other intros ? XD
only for the weak beats them both
For whom the bell tolls with Cliff?)
uh, rust in peace polaris exists.
Listen to Church Of Nothing by Axewound
This was the first song I heard from them. Thank you limewire
I've listened to amon amarth for a long time now, and through every new album and tour, this song is just fucking gnarly and an all time fav.
All sub genres of heavy metal are just different types of metal: Thrash, Melodic Death Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, Speed, Power, Viking... etc. All just different types of HEAVY METAL. That's why we are called metalheads.
I saw them many times live, mostly at Zeche Bochum Germany.
I love this song and their first CD.
The stuff now is a bit to clean and overproduced.
But i still love them.
At Bochum i was drinking Beer with Johan Hegg.
He is a cool guy.
I grow with this song. It's great work.
Amon Amarth Rules !
Its impossible for amon amarth to make a bad album or song There just epic!!!
how can you dislike this song it's amazing
best band theres been in a long long time
This still after all this time is my favorite album, can play this on loop until I arrive in Valhalla
The best song ever. 3:51 - 4:21 . That fucking solo !
This song gets my pumps going at the gym.
This song I listened to 20 years ago and I have never been satisfied with it. I feel the passion, and the strength when I hear it. .. Homam from Casablanca, Morocco. Thank you, the amon amarth group.
I can’t state how much I love this song and this group! Been a fan since 2003/2004. Was able to finally take my daughter to see them last year and it was glorious! She likes the mythological aspect of their work and their accuracy.
Forever and always my favourite Amon Amarth song
One of the greatest metal song I’ve ever heard. Fucking good ;)
I grew a beard after listening to this
I grew a beard while listening to this! ; P

Eine HYMNE in Ewigkeit und Herrlichkeit.
epic!
How has it been almost 20 years since I first heard this?
Time goes by too fast
An appropriate song for the times we are living in.
I got to see them do this live on the Vs.the world tour. I love watching the beard go the opposite way as he whips his hair one way. It was kinda hypnotic.\m/
@Xndead off course! in show they really does it well on every part
needs more views
Nunca dejare de escuchar a Amo amarth
Man this song brings back so many good memories. I remember the first time I heard it and it took a bit to grow on me but man it has been etched in my brain ever since
I wonder if their necks ever hurt after a show? Great music...lots of power...love the stories and mythology.
they're so fucking GREAT.
Who's here going into 2020🎊🎉
PRAISE ODIN!!!
Yup
hi
I'm writing this comment from 2011 actually, hope you guys are doing good in 2020!!! I died in 2015!!! I farted.
It's Not our time to walk the rainbow bridge.....there are many many hard battles to come still. And with a song like this, I welcome all challenges with open arms.
81 people really died in the fire in my country Greece these days, and they were no dislikers of this track.Wherever you see an arsonist or a people responsible for a fire, turn him in,don't stay without action in such matter.
Slayer , Amon Amarth , Judas Priest all great dual guitar bands masterpiece of music
Metal riff God's!
