And Here you will be able to follow my classic mini restoration from start to finish! It is an Austin Mini Mayfair 998cc registered in 1986. I bought the car with 2 months MOT and it was running although the slave cylinder had gone. My plans for the car are to restore it to my standards just like my Orange one if not even better... if thats possible. Tell me about it. Bought a detachable one for my Mk1 Megane Saloon a couple years back, cost a fair bit to buy and used my local garage to fit which naturally added cost (didn’t have time or skills back then to do it myself). Cost of purchase alone seemed silly considering the car was 17yo then but worth it for what i was going to use it for 👌will probably be fitting one to my Rover Mini in time for IMM.
Love it! It’s the subtle mods that make the biggest difference mate . Pay no attention to the nay sayers, it’s your car and needs your stamp on it 👍🏻. Would be very boring if everyone and everything was the same 😂

Tow bar will be siick , I've got roof racks on my 1 series so it's like same shit different smell👀
Put a completely hidden towbar on my Mondeo st estate and that was £680 fitted :( I would suggest westfalia or witter as the brand for your towbar more expensive but you get what you pay for good quality and also make sure someone does install it for you as there is a high chance your ecu will need programming for the towing electrics mate
Your slacking in keeping that golf polished and waxed lol the water should be beading off. Do they make a tow bar for it. You may find you will loose your rear diffuser and have to cut a hole in the black bit in the lower bumper 👍👍👍

Really want what you’ve added to your splitter , e.g those fins , do you have a link or anything

You could maybe wrap the roof of the golf to sort of emulate the mini.Like a big brother/little brother thing.

Well that saved you putting Nos on the engine, them bits of Tupperware should be good for at least 25-30hp. The wrap will be a nice nod to Starsky n Hutch....... Yes... It's an old tv show from when Jeremy Clarkson wasn't a fat bastard, lol.
At least you have a driveway you can use, my dickhead neighbor walks past when my vehicle is on my driveway and I am doing maintenance (the back wheels are on the foot path and my driveway is not big enough for the full vehicle length) and tells me to move my vehicle and that it is illegal bla bla, they still have enough room to walk behind my vehicle. I tell him I will move it when I am finished. The next time this happens (was doing urgent rear brake work), his bird takes a picture on her phone so I tell them the sky is falling and they better call the police. He walks around the neighborhood wearing only shorts, they have only just moved into the neighborhood and before they turned up I would do the same with my vehicle and people would stop and have a friendly chat.
Sounds like a right jobs worth dude! 😂😂 stick your hazards on and pop the bonnet of the police come 😂 “you broke down” 😉

Is your golf gti a performance, my dad has a mk7.5 and his has the red gti badges but yours only has silver. Obvs yours is the previous generation and Idk weather it is different on the newer cars to the older
