A cautionary tale about spoiling a child. It’s so sad that she did everything to set him up for success and comfort in life. Yet, she forgot that spoiling a child could be just as damaging as neglecting a child. A balanced approach is critical. He lived in luxury, went to a private school, got a Merc AND an apartment when he went to college. He didn’t have to worry about food or how he was going to pay his tuition or struggle with public transport, etc. There’s an old proverb that says if you want to destroy a person give them everything that their heart desires. Struggle builds character and over-indulgence breeds boredom.

    • @ayandasam2269
      @ayandasam2269 Рік тому +63

Not really, there's no formula in parenting. If your can afford to give your child a comfortable life u can, as long you see your child is driven. Whatever happened it looks like he was at some point an ambitious boy. I've seen many kids that come from comfortable life succeed, even though they were given everything. Because they would rather work hard than experience poverty.

@@ayandasam2269"Not really" but he killed his mother....the one that gave him so much...too much infact. He was handed everything on a silver platter. He never got to struggle and hence never really learned the value of anything. He was merely an overly spoiled man that has no love for anyone. Empty inside. Ofcourse OP is correct. Over indulgence did breed boredom...that led to drug use. Also...the mother was giving him so much money that he had alot to spare in purchasing drugs. This is a man..that was given everything...which ended up ruining his life because he has no opportunity to build a character of any kind. Just an ampty soul with an expensive apartment...Mercedes...and a bank account fat with dollars. He is very disturbed.

@@ndinashay4662 This mentality is puzzling to me. There are so many kids who were given everything and who never really worked for their possessions but today they are thriving and being great additions to society. This is a person-to-person issue. Wealthy families have been raising wealthy and driven kids for years without experiencing this. There are poor kids who have nothing but still end up killing their parents or family. This situation can happen to anyone when drugs are involved. This poor woman's love being used as a reason for her being killed is really troubling.

As a single parent. I understand her 100%. I get efforts to give him the best that she could. I did the same for my daughter. Others may not agree. I also had an elder brother Victor that developed schizophrenia due to drug use ( cannabis ) somehow it led him to Christianity in the late 1970s when he stopped using cannabis. He had a few crazy stories about being targeted by security personnel and family that wanted to end his life but they were not common. It was just once in a few months or even years. We siblings didn't attach much to it because the comments were in passing, meaning there was never a deep discussion about it My parents however knew and took him to a psychiatrist in the late 1970's. They hid it from us until they died. We siblings never knew that Victor had schizophrenia until after he died in 2003 from diabetes. We always thought that his faith bordered on being a Christian fanatic. We only knew about it from the medical report shared when he died. I remember reading the report with shock where it stated that Victor was a known schizophrenic because he was under treatment for many years. That is when I connected the dots and understood what had happened in Victors life. My father was very loving to us but was somehow verbally cruel to my brother. He sometimes called him Jim Jones despite also being a Christian. After seeing many UA-cam videos about these issues I better understand mental health problems and the social responses. I understand that my father knew that Victor had Schizophrenia cause but could not handle it. I doubt that he linked it to Cannabis use given the era in which it was happening. That is why he was not kind despite being a lovely and loving father. I am so sad about what happened to Hope Zinde and Mark father. They did nothing wrong. They just wanted to give their gifted child the best as so many of us are trying to do. I fully understand how this tragedy could have happened. My sincere condolences to all affected.

If it is to fill a void, or for that child to take care of you when they are older those are selfish reasons. There is no guarantee that the child will turn out the way you want because children aren’t extensions of ourselves but completely separate individuals. Plus as a woman the responsibility falls mainly on you as most men aren’t really parents in the literal sense. Have a child because YOU want to but don’t have a child for a man. I'm triggered everytime I hear or remember this story I'm also the victim of abuse from my son and he even lied to neighbour about our family so that people can feel pity for him and offer him money which he used to buy drug , he used to beat up his younger brother for telling on him and when I called the police I was verbally abused again by the police blaming me .they refused to open a case and said what kind ofa mother calls police on his son.

The biggest mistake was buying him a car before 21 and an apartment. For those of us that lived at tertiary res, we know how important it is to socialise and create lasting memories with your peers. Having nothing or something at res, allows you to share and create bond with others, mostly importantly realise how privileged you are. The mother did what she thought was right, but forgot one important life lesson in a man’s development, struggles and humility. The lack of vision from the mother allowed all this to happen

Nah but I know you mean well.
He would have probably killed her even though he lived at varsity res.
Her mom did what all rich parents did ,buying them cars and apartments to make their lives easy and they never killed their parents.
It doesn't mean they would lack adversity and remember he went to a private college with kids like him I assume so that makes him relatable in that class ( the upper class).
I'm sure he had plenty memories at his varsity and lasting memories with other fellow students in his class or lower class if there were any.
Having nothing on other side can make you have motives to do bad things because of peer pressure and envying the life of those who are privileged.
Yeah."The Mother did what she thought was right" but we should also not forget the father ,was he a present and active father to help the mother ?🤔
Did he try to father him?🤔
Why was she a single parent?🤔( you can't answer that because clearly she was a single parent like it was said in the video).
I bet if he was there the tragedy would have not happened, right? because his vision would have made him a better man.
Lastly ,struggles can be detrimental to a development of a man. There is absolutely no reason to suffer in order have humility and being a good man.
Also being a parent is hard, it has no manual and you can give more or less to teach your child reality of life to make them better people and they can still choose whatever way they want which doesn't align with what you tried to instill in them.

Has nothing to do the amount of wealth their parents have. Stop being jealous of rich kids. Would you have said the same thing about a poor or middle-class child who committed this crime? And at he was institutionalized. He went to rehab. I'm not justifying anything. I'm saying that you should stop using platforms like these to expose the hate you have for rich people. If I am rich enough, I would have done the same. Took my child to private schools, bought him an expensive car and yes, even bought him his own apartment. The pressure of parents to want their kid's to be certain people doesn't work!
Every person at their own pace and time ,will work.
Make your children feel poorer than the neighbour, m(Alon muks) that way they'll strive to work harder

Please don’t have them if you don’t want to. It’s overrated and a lot of work. Societal pressure can be a detriment to our decision making at times.
