I was in a taxi in Istanbul. Many taxi drivers when noticing a foreigner want to share Islam with you. The driver began the usual “I’m a Muslim and we believe in the final book/prophet, the Bible has been changed, we love Jesus too…” I discussed this same dilemma in the Quran, namely the Quran confirms the Torah and the Gospel to which he agreed. Then I told him that the Quran states that whatever scriptures Allah sends to his people he will protect. Then I asked the taxi driver how is it possible that Allah didn’t protect his other scriptures from corruption according to Muslims? The driver sat in silence for 5 minutes and then looked at me and said “that’s a great question! Why would Allah allow the Gospel to be changed?!”

Abraham believed and had faith which was imputed to him as righteousness. Romans 4:1-3. Abraham was in paradise at the time of Christ’ appearance on Earth. Luke 16:19-26. Abraham was the father of the Jews(the chosen people) through whom the messiah(Christ) would come into the world.

If you put your faith in something that is rock-solid and self-consistent, plus reality bears it out over and over again in practical applications, then in holistic assessment your faith is genuine and of substance - it will already be producing results, and not merely results, it will already start to bear good fruit.

If we are to go with the start of Islam being 610, and say that those words you said to be true, and the Quran as it’s written to be true, then the Torah and the New Testament had existed in its correct (uncorrupted) form in 610, centuries after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, then it is just as true that today we can find unaltered versions as we can find unaltered versions of the Quran. I say this with full certainty because Muslims are not the only ones who care about keeping the word in truth.

It's funny muslims claim the bible is corrupt because it makes different claims than the Quran but that contradicts Allah and Muhammad in the Quran.

When I say our oldest full copy of the Bible (Codex Sinaiticus) predates Islam for good 200 years and it matches our current Bible, they grow silent.

So if Allah perfected his words not once, not twice, but 3 times.

Whenever I'm studying the Quran, I'm more convinced that it doesn't supposed to be a separate Scriptures, but only a commentary of the Bible, which served as systematic theology for some Arab-Christian heretics, while today's Islam was shaped later, as a result of their cinflict with the orthodoxy, and introduction of the Hadith, which allowed those heretics to gradually abandon the Bible.

Even as a relatively young Christian ppl seem perplexed that the snarky and cynical me has been replaced by something else and want to know why I now believe in Jesus Christ. I live in very Muslim city in the UK so have many muslim colleagues at work. I feel much more prepared for a discussion with them about the Torah and the Gospel within what the Quran teaches them.

Surah 10 Verse 94: "But if you (o Muhammad) are in doubt as to what we have revealed to you, ask those who read the book..." Now... that whole thing isn't what I missed. I’m not a part of any religion yet (in search of one) and through easily discoverable research you can see the bible has a plethora of blatant contradictions. I tried to see what the Christian defense because maybe there’s something else I’m not seeing. You can argue contradiction in the Quran, whatever, but definitely not as a Christian

You can really see the progression where Muhammad started out with a bright idea where he was going to make an in-between religion which would settle the bad blood between Christians and Jews, and attempted to build a halfway step that compromised between old and new testament teachings (as far as he understood them) and found a middle ground everyone could agree on (he thought), and then when he presented it to the Israelites and the Christians they both went "huh? no, you're crazy" and he went back seething and added a bunch of angry scriptures decrying them both for denying his great creation.
Look up how the Vatican created Islam- this is why it seems this way and why Islam are supposed to at least believe Jesus is a great teacher and prophet born of a virgin.

I have seen so many videos of Jesus revealing himself in their dreams. The only thing they have in Arabic countries is Quran. It's worth pointing out, that the Bible was pieced together at the time of writing of each section, from letters, eye-witness accounts, advice given and miracles performed by Jesus, the son of God.
The Quran however, was written around 700 years later, re-written, parts edited, removed, added by successive Muslim rulers who at the time changed it to something more favourable and relevant to themselves during their rule.. and it was not written as a composition of letters, or eye-witness accounts at any time to which it may refer. In other words, it's a made up copy of the Torah and the Bible, because the Arabs didn't have a religion, while the Jews and Christians did. So the Arabs quickly made up their own and it was designed to undermine and contradict, insult basically, the Bible and Torah. This is why we have had conflict ever since the conception of Islam, an ideology for war.

my direct coworker in a office I work at is a not too serious Muslim from Pakistan. he is so friendly he could make friends with a wild starving polerbear and not get eaten. I have dipped my toes into telling him about Jesus but he just kinda nods his head without responding. I would very much like to bring these points from the video up but I feel if I push too hard, I may lose future chances to talk to him about Jesus.
You’ve got the right mindset, i have a Muslim friend and I have tried to convince her that Christianity is the true religion instead of preaching to her about Christ and I am concerned I have pushed her away even more (she, like many Muslims, refuses to see the black and white logic behind the points for Christianity). If you want to preach to someone who doesn't want to listen you can, but it will often come at the cost of continued friendship with them, unless you're fully successful. You could just ask him about those verses and how he interprets them. You could also ask him if he minds you taking to him about the gospel and Jesus. If you just want him to listen and be open to things you say, then you have to come at it as a friend and in a friendly, conversational way. If you just want him to hear it no matter what that ends up as, you just say it. Smith Wigglesworth used to do the latter. There's a story of a man who sat on a bench and saw Smith walk out of sight somewhere to the right. For some reason or another a group of angry people then went that direction looking for Smith. Shortly thereafter those people reappeared, fleeing, and behind them was Smith, chasing after them, preaching the gospel at them.

The Isaiah passage is exactly what Jesus IS and does, so what's your point. Remember that in Christianity, Jesus is The God from Isaiah 43 but in the flesh.

If I print Quran and replace Allah with Michael Jackson, I did not change Allah's words. I produced a man made heresy that is no longer the word of god. This is what the verse means.
If the Quran is true, then Islam is false. Why? Because the Quran says to trust the Gospel and the Gospel contradict the Quran. This means the Quran can't be true if it says the gospel message is also true.

I don't know if it's a joke or not, but here goes the linguists nerdy take regardless: English is an easy language to learn if your first language is German or Dutch. It's relatively easy for someone who speaks French or another Romance language. It's a little more difficult for someone who speaks Farsi or Hindi or Russian. It's most difficult for someone whose original language is Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean. There are levels of difficulty depending on how closely related the languages are. Also, English spelling is a nightmare. That's a scholarly fact.
Regions like Turkey also really need this message. They are predominantly an Islamic country and I hope we can share this message with them so they can turn towards Christ for it is in him we can find true life. The idea of so many preventable spiritual deaths is horrifying.

I was surprised to hear Kenny try to say during your debate that there’s a “Christian dilemma.” He obviously watched this and tried to twist it. He is still so blinded and/or is deceiving other Muslims. Cognitive dissonance is painful to watch.
The word "apology" originally meant "legal defense" - see Plato's "Apology" - but nowadays "apology" is taken to mean "expression of regret for wrongdoing". You might want to change that term.

Our Muslim brothers and sisters are almost there , they just need to step further and accept Jesus as God incarnat. I pray they do because Muslims have a unique, grounded and logical way they view God and when a Muslim converts to Christianity, they usually have a fantastic grasp of their faith quickly and are wonderful to talk about theology with, same goes for Arab Christians , Egyptian Christians and Persian Christians who were never Muslim.

Jesus never once preached to a gentile. He said he was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. Commanded his disciples to only minister to Jews. He repeated the Shema! You're right, in that He never put it those words (or Greek or Hebrew versions of those words). But He did make it clear in other ways.
For one, He forgave people's sins, something that the Jews accepted that only God could do. For this, the religious leaders got very upset with him, because they knew that this was an indirect way of claiming to be God.
For another, he often referred to Himself as "the son of man" (note: not _a_ son of man). The Jews considered themselves all to be sons of God (via Adam), so calling Himself the son of God would not mean that He was God. However, He was accused of blasphemy for referring to Himself as "the son of man". This is because "the son of man" is a reference to Daniel chapter 7, where "one like a son of man" would come down from the heavens. Jesus was claiming to be that one.

What makes you think that? He preached to crowds in various places, and there is no record of who all those people were. Besides, when He fed 4000 people he was preaching in a primarily Gentile area, i.e. near Decapolis.

If it was true that the Bible had been corrupted as Muslims today allege, why would Allah give these verses? Was he ignorant of the fact that the Bible has been corrupted? Or was he unaware that the Bible will be corrupted? Again the question arises: WHEN was the Bible corrupted?
If the Bible was corrupted BEFORE the revelation of the Quran, why did Allah honor the People of the Book and tell them to judge by their “corrupted” books as their guidance ?
If the Bible was corrupted AFTER the revelation of the Quran, that means Allah’s words in the Quran have become obsolete at best, or one could accuse of Allah of short-sightedness and deception for failing to warn that the Bible was going to be corrupt in the future.
The bible at the time Mohamet wrote or dictated the koran is the same as the bible we have today so the position is far worse for Islam than is portrayed here. The fact that this is so shows all Moslems to be in direct opposition to their profit, it also shows their profit was talking through his hat for not knowing that the book he was touting was already corrupted. As one who has only read the introduction about Mohammad and not the Quran itself, this was a nice summary. But, I can't help the feeling that it would take a weeks worth of videos to explain if there is any validity to Mohammad or the Quran. At the minimum it seems he saw the people around him straying away from God and tried to fix it. In the end, all I can say is it is so much easier just following John 3:16
