I really like all the channels that can have testing of the steel both HRC and composition. It helps keep the manufacturers on their toes knowing someone is holding them accountable.

Yeah it is nice, love seeing the data from cut tests, and all the HRC work.

Thank you. This video was very helpful. I just bought a pm2 in cruwear. I’m stoked about the hardness. I feel like I got my money’s worth.

I would be interested in the PM 2 if you decide to sell it.

I wonder if methodology would dictate throwing out high and low and averaging the three remaining would be better. Been a long long time since I studied statistics. Good info here fletcher. I’ve got a bunch of spyderco m390 and maxamet that I’d love to test and then pick the best to cut test. Love to see a m390 at 63+, or magnacut at 65, and maxamet at 69+. I’m currently carrying a k390 police LW and it rocks for holding initial bite, that’s paired with a shaman in cruwear, keep up the videos please dude. I’m in portland OR we a an outside festival called the rose festival going on and this holiday WE it’s pouring buckets.

I’ve heard really good things about spy27. I can’t wait to see your cut test results. Seems like the HRC is good. Spyderco does great HT overall. I should have gotten that Cruware G-10 when it was available. I hope they get more, I can always get the CruCarta but I want to be able to change scales later on. All are made for inset liners tho not full liners.

You could make scales for the full liners

@@allthingsknives yeah I know but I’m not that good at stuff like that lol. I guess I could have a good dude like Knaftastic, BJ Hill, or someone like that do a set.

Thanks for the show, and numbers!
That Civivi 14C28N is pretty impressive. That's as good as I've ever seen it, but will admit, that after deciding it (14C28N) wasn't for me. I didn't test factory blades much after that.
I've got a few Manly knives, and they are fantastic!
My overall thoughts and feeling, after seeing your recent numbers all laid out before me. Is a little depressing, but par for the course in the production world. I started making knives about two years ago now, and while most of these steels you are showing here, I have not worked with yet (and likely never will). My S30V runs 62.5.
    I also like working with 10V, S125V, K390, and Z-Max. But that's a story for another day ; - )
