Rhondas mom waking up in a panic and knowing something was wrong was not coincidence. I had it happen to me and it turned out I woke the minute my Grandmother passed away. There is much us humans don't have answers too. I was once a non believer but I now know GOD is LOVE💖💖💖

Even though after 20+ years after her death, I can still see and feel...all I know is for the first time in her life she was finally at peace. RIP Momma! I love & miss you every day!

Watching this show faithfully as a kid , it taught me so much about life and people... and how cold the world can be..it also shows us how strange life is , most of the people involved in these stories and the actors who played them are dead , and their stories and all involved are long forgotten... thats what makes unsolved mysteries so great , it keeps them alive

You just cant beat the "Unsolved Mysteries" reenactments. They were like these little thriller/ horror movies. The one that used give me nightmares was the one about the old man with the bleeding hand that the little girl seen in her yard while she was swinging on the swing set. She told her mom she had made a new friend. The mom never seen him. Turned out he was a ghost. Goosebumps the whole time i wrote this.

Regarding Rhonda Hinson: For those interested in this case, they might want to google "The Killing Of Rhonda Hinson" which is an ongoing series of articles published by "The Record & Thursday Printing" out of Wilkes County, NC. Written with the cooperation of Rhonda's friends and family, the articles detail the final year or so of Rhonda Hinson's life and makes note of an individual in her life at the time who was allegedly in contact with her in the hours before her death, including a phone call that was purportedly made by Rhonda to this individual before she departed her friend's house en route to her parents home utilizing Mineral Springs Mountain Road. The articles allege that this individual drove a blue Chevy Nova that had damage to it's front. Among many other previously unreported details, the articles also expound upon the sexual assault theory brought forth in the Unsolved Mysteries segment. Well worth a read.

When Mr. Drummond died I was living in East Lansing MI, and I remember the newspaper artiles about him. What's sad is that nobody except that postal worker took notice of him. She even attended his burial, if I remember right. Yet all kinds of people claimed to be his heirs when it was found out he had money. THEN, everyone changes their mind, or so it seems. I know the bail system is so that those who might be innocent can gather information and help their attorneys to help represent themselves in court. It seems that the bad guys really take advantage of this and take off! So glad for shows like this, and others that put these people's faces out there for the public to see them, and help in their recapture! This is a public service show!

Unresolved. A viewer from Springfield, Missouri recognized Joe Marks and contacted authorities. He was arrested on November 20, 1989, at his mother's home. He was extradited back to Illinois and was sentenced to six years in prison for theft and conspiracy.
Ten years after she vanished, Wilson was arrested and charged with theft and fraud. She served several years in prison and has since been released.
Ann Corricelli has never been found. However, the statute of limitations has expired in this case, and she is no longer wanted by authorities. Authorities also have noted that they lack confidence that Corricelli has gone straight, and may be continuing to operate under the likely the possible pseudonym "Mrs. Calvin". Should Corricelli be continuing in fraudulent affairs, this will constitute a whole new crime and resume the search.

This is known as cold reading. They mention something that makes you say "how did she know?" The reality is that they mention something that would be typical of your age, gender, ethnicity, clothing, hair, etc. If you're old, they'll mention a recent death in the family. If you're fat, they say you want to lose weight. No ring on your finger, and they figure you're lonely. Sometimes they'll have someone waiting in the foyer who's actually a shill. The waiting customer will strike up a conversation with you, to get you to talk about yourself. The conwoman will listen in, and then she'll "know" things about you that she'll use to gain your trust.

    • @jbcatz5
      @jbcatz5 Рік тому +1

Exactly, it’s a vague generalisation the victim projects meaning onto. If you’re going to see a medium it means someone you had a connection to is dead, and it’s a high probability it’s an immediate family member, a parent, sibling, child depending on age. That’s why spiritualists would do seances in groups, more people means the guessing is more likely to get someone and reinforce the belief of the others. You end up giving the person more information than they give you. “His name, I’m seeing a G.” “George, is that you?”

What makes it funnier is that both the game and the show deal with with similar themes and concepts; just differences in scale.

People go to psychics for a lot of the same reasons, so it's easy to often merely guess correctly what the person's general issues are, how the person feels, and so on. Psychics "start out broad" and then narrow their focus based on the clients' reactions. They make vague guesses ("I sense turmoil in your life" or "I sense that you've had a family tragedy recently") to zero in on the particular person's issues; such guesses are almost always going to be at least somewhat true of almost anyone who would be seeking help like that, so it's not such a stretch of the imagination to stumble onto a correct idea, and thus be correct by appearing to reading the person's mind instead of merely making a lucky/logical guess.

Exploiting the vulnerable and those in crisis is about as diabolical as it gets. Criminal penalties need to be more consequential.

Makes me wonder how many people were on life support and Dr,s say there,s no more else we can do. I'm so glad, I never listened to my father's Dr's. Too. I'm glad all turned out for the family

When it gets to the point where you're literally on life-support, how many people have actually come back from that? It's stupid and irresponsible to suggest that people don't listen to doctors whose job is to treat and cure disease, as if they don't know what they're talking about.
There are children who have died because their parents chose prayer over medical treatment. Those people belong in prison. It's bad enough when adults die because of their own religious stupidity, but when children die it's much worse.

Exactly. All they do is make reasonable guesses based on someone's age/gender, etc, and you're supposed to gasp in awe that they made these brilliant deductions.

My grandmother died 2 years ago and I wouldn't call it recent....I mean, 2 years is a long time.

@@CamilleNadia It’s called a cold reading. You get a prompt and fill in the gaps yourself not realising the scam involved. The more information you volunteer the more information can be used to manipulate you to the person’s purpose and have you trusting them. That’s what it is, manipulation pure and simple.
