- The 2024 Met Gala took place last night, as always on the first Monday of May, which this year was the 6th. The occasion called for guests to dress to the theme of 'The Garden of Time', which is inspired by the J.G. Ballard short story of the same name, while the accompanying exhibition was entitled 'Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion' and features archival pieces of fashion that are too delicate ever to be worn again, 'sleeping beauties'.
From Kendall Jenner in McQueen-era Givenchy to Taylor Russell's unique take on florals, here we round up our 10 favourite looks from the night.

Right! There are tons of other people who would slay the Met if given an invite. If they cant dress to fit the theme for the 10th year in a row, Kylee & Kendall, then people need to stop getting invited, & invites need to be sent to some other people. You don't know who can or will pay what until you at least invite them. Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift were invited & both passed it down. I think this may have been the first time Travis was invited?
Edit: If the Met was sport & each dress or tux was rated based on being on theme, half the people would automatically loose, for just never meeting the theme expectations. Next years theme is Extragalactic. I better see at the very least Kendall & Kylee be on theme! Kendall looked like she was going to a fancy rodeo. I got a cowgirl vibe off her dress. & Kylee, well...she couldn't have been more boring. For once I thought Kim looked great. Now that she's probably not wearing whatever Kayne is forcing her to wear. All that latex, the entire black outfit, she's had some major castrophes in the past. She looked really good this Met! I was shooketh! ❤

This has to be by far the most underwhelming list. So many better ones were left out. Mindy Kaling? Lana Del Ray? Alia Bhatt? Mona Patel and her iconic Bufferfly dress?
All of these dresses/outfits looked hideous. Who should have made the list are Alia Bhatt, who looked stunning in her sari, and Chris Hemsworth.

Tyla is definitely a good choice. Well thought out and perfectly executed. Where is Alia Bhatt? Her dress was perfect and on theme. Emma Chamberlain was also on theme and the whole look worked well together. The best dressed are always the ones who are on theme, classic but also avant garde and who have given thought to workmanship of the garment and fashion.

Ok whoever wrote this list- no offense, but did you watch the MET this year? They were certainly way more stunning choices! Zendaya, Tyla, Elle and Taylor are serving but the rest.. no comment. Gorgeous ladies, beautiful creations (certainly not in the top 10 for me).

The new exhibition at the Met is called Sleeping Beauties : Reawaking Fashion and the theme of the night was Garden of Time. That can be interpreted so many ways. Wearing vintage pieces FITS the theme and flowers were NOT required. You could use your imagination (like Tyla's team with the time hour glass concept) and be on theme. 🤷🏻♀️
Taylor deserves the 2,but Kim?? I'm glad that your not Vogue😅😅😅
I’m not certain what criteria was used (certainly not theme) to compile this list, but I couldn’t disagree more. Taylor Russell in Loewe, Tyla in Balmain and Mona Patel in Iris Van Herpen were heads and tails above the rest (and they understood the assignment).

I agree about Taylor, Zendaya, Phoebe, Tyla and Elle, but Kar-Jenners, Brie and unfortunatelly Kaia big no this year (Kylie and Kaia's dresses are nice but I don't feel the theme, even Kendall's dress while having interesting history don't feel like it fits theme)

Kim's dress with the lightweight cashmere shawl draped over her left shoulder, was the best she's ever looked at the met! This is my all time favorite met look for Kim! She must have had a psoriasis outbreak on her shoulder/arm, bc that's the only reason I could see her covering up. It's not like her to cover herself up. Either that, or she's finally stopped listening to all these crazy stylist! Sorry, but Kanye has his new wife walking around 95% naked. Bleh. Imo Kim should just own her psoriasis, bc it effects so many people! There's nothing to be ashamed of. To listen to everything she goes through to hide it, & try to prevent it, was unbelievable & heartbreaking. Girl, just own your imperfections! You are beautiful regardless. You looked stunning! My fav look ever on you! Don't be afraid to be you! People will love you more for it. But at the end of the day, do what makes you the happiest! ❤🎉
