A song of loss and longing that shares the name of the mother I have lost. Odd that such a thing makes me feel so happy and at peace when I listen to it. So glad it got the video treatment, as it is one of my favourite songs by Goldfrapp.

i bought this album as soon as it came out, but I'm only now uncovering the beauty 3 years on. I was stuck on drew, but this is enchanting, driving across the central highlands of tasmania in moody cloud and rain, and it's simply perfect.
I’m coming back as her in my next life! To have that voice, to be that effortlessly cool, to have an intimate understanding of music-it’s all just too much to take in sometimes😫

'Tales Of Us' without a doubt is a beautiful album that addresses the emotions of those who in society were never quite seen as the same and it speaks from the heart of these issues. Goldfrapp should be certainly credited a lot more than the majority of rubbish that is churned out by the music industry today. :')
