There are so many credible people saying it in the public domain. I even hate using that word "credible", because who gets to decide that, and based on what? We've been lied to for so very long. Subtlety is the one thing our scientist seems to be lacking. He has pretty much admitted that there are aliens, not only in the universe or our neighbourhood, but even living on earth with us.

The major problem of intergalactic travel or even within our solar system is the distance and the time. The closet star to our Sun is Proxima Centauri which is 4.25 light years = 9 trillion kms. This star system has only one planet which is also not habitable. In near future we can think about colonizing moons of Jupiter or Saturn or Mars as planet. But unless we achieve near to light speed it is almost impossobile to travel to intergalactic planets within a human lifetime except through a wormwole. These things are really interesting and there is a lot to know and we haven't even scratched the surface. Universe is infinite.
