- This is a backing track for 'The Wind Cries Mary' by Jimi Hendrix. This includes all the original vocals and instrumental parts so that you can play along with guitar and record over the top of it if you want. Hope you all enjoy it!
If you would like any of the backing tracks i upload for different instruments just message me. For example, i will remove the drums from the track if you would like to play over the backing track with your own drum playing :)
its not him singing, it IS jimi. He just removed the guitar track for us, so we can play along.
THANK YOU, this track is awesome!

I have all of the multitracks for the songs on rock band by Jimi, sooooo cool to listen to and isolate parts or do your own mix with the lights down when your stoned, makes you feel like Jimi, Mitch, and Noel (Who were just as important) are with you in the room. its spooky!
Thank you for taking the time to make and furnish this backing track.
This track is money, thanks for it.
Brilliant - just what I was looking for.
Thank you for post-- the only version i could find closest to the original vinyl.. UA-cam removed many things
Dude how did you do this? You have to be a pro audio mixer to now how to do this without f**king up all the other tracks.
Thanks so much!!
They're called stems
this is an awesome backing track, thanks a lot
OMG THANK YOU! I was wondering when transcribing this by ear why he uses the C#m (or EMaj) pentatonic scale at that point in the solo. I can hear the chord change but I never figured out the chord being played under it
Amazing! Thanks
Thank-you
It would be awesome if you did a backing track for come on (let the good times roll) Jimi hendrix. Keep the vocals, drums and bass just take out the guitar part. thanks
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
fantastic
BILLY COX SAYS JIMI IS ON BASS HERE AND FOXY LADY AND PURPLE HAZE!!!!! FROM ARE YOU EXPERIENCE LP!!!!!
Great!
Epic! :D
it is tuned a half step down
Amazing thanks !!
Is this in a half-step down tuning?
can upload the backing tracks (drums and bass) for Fire and Stone Free? (from Are you Experienced)
Hi, can you do a track on Kansas - Dust in the Wind, take the guitar out. Thanks
1 disliker canìt play on this backing track ^^
man you sing just like jimi 5* !!!!
It's in F, with a quick change to C#m toward the end of the solo
Simply Amazing Hendrix Track. This is the best Backing I've ever heard for this Beautiful Song of Jim's. Thank You so much!
This is awesome to jam along to especialy with it being original band . Thanks for taking time doing ya stuff n uploading it.
this song is just standard tuning, he did many songs in standard like purple haze and fire. but he tended to use Eb more, especially live, which I like too!
Thank you, this is fantastic !
Awesome my friend, a great help for us! Can you do the same for little wing please?
Brilliant thanks very much lovely to play along with jimi singing too, how on earth do you do that, remove parts and leave the others behind without the master tapes?? :o)
where did you get the master tracks for this? :O
It's F major
this is excellent thank you!
Could you by any chance isolate the acoustic guitar to 'i can't get no satisfaction' by the rolling stones? Thanks man! By the way, How do you do this?
After all the jacks
are in their boxes
and the clowns have all gone to bed
you can hear happiness
staggering on down the street
footprints dressed in red.
And the wind whispers Mary.
A broom is drearily sweeping
up the broken pieces of yesterday's life
somewhere a Queen is weeping
somewhere a King has no wife.
And the wind it cries Mary.
The traffic lights they turn blue tomorrow
and shine their emptiness down on my bed
the tiny island sags downstream
‘cos the life that they lived is dead.
And the wind screams Mary.
Will the wind ever remember
the names it has blown in the past
and with this crutch
its old age and its wisdom
it whispers, "No, this will be the last"
And the wind cries Mary.
I can play this! :)
@psychoactivepaper i am not that good at music theory but the basic chords are c a# and f if you play then in the f a# and c it's like a 1 4 5 blues in f and f major pentatonic it's d minor pentatonic and when jimi it's starting the solo it's using the notes f and g on the e string and c and d on the b string and that's the first box of the d minor pentatonic or the f major i;m not sure it;s like this but when i play the d minor pentatatonic it's sound good
actually this as an original audio track of the mix with jimis guitar faders all the down. you can still hear some bleed through the drum and bass amp mics but its less than 2%
hi there craig any chance you could send me a backing track with just bass and drums please cheers mate jay
Realmente era de otro planeta imitado pero jamas igualado 2023

Please describe for the rest of us, in English, what schizophrenia feels like.
Thanks man
How the fuck are his hands that big?!?!?!?!
Great stuff Craig!
More hendrix please
WHAT A GOD
thanks a lot!!!
oh. yes
well said
Is the tuning in standard or half step down?
Probably half step down bro, like they did in the day. I play it in standard E, doesn't really effect the sound
