POSTNATAL ASSESSMENT

Postnatal assessment includes systematic examination of the mother and baby and appropriate advice given to the mother and family during postnatal period. The assessment begins during the fourth stage itself and extends throughout the postnatal period.
This video includes purpose, period of postnatal assessment, preparation of the client and environment articles, procedure, breast examination, abdominal assessment, lochia, genital assessment, blood loss, homan sign, after care of postnatal assessment.
