an important issue is whether or not to unroll/unwind the round bales. if you are not using a tractor on a near daily basis, probably not. also, deep snow would likely cover unrolled hay. but unrolled hay can reduce waste and can allow more cows to share/to eat at the same time.
Grazing in the summer after bale grazing this way.............and a farmer expects cows to eat that quality of grass when it stinks....of mole and manure ???? Im a dairy farmer....doing this......just as well dry the milk cows up ! No big issues if yah plan to bale it. Ask..why dont more "" dairy """ farmers graze ?????
