Awesome build. Very inspiring. Clean, simple, elegant. Straight to the point videos with no frills and clear explanations. Keep up the great work. One of my favorite channels to watch.
Glen, just wanted to say thanks for the channel. 100% of the Christmas presents I'm giving this year are projects from your videos. Keep up the great work!
just a tip: if you put the concrete in the sun you do not speed up the "drying process" - you just let water evaporate and have a lesser quality concrete concrete does not harden though the evaporating water, it cures (in an exothermic chemical reaction) due to crystal formation (calcium oxide and hydroxide and silicon dioxide) - this takes a few days to weeks - an for proper curing it takes months to years even after the concrete is apperently "dry" if you mix the concrete too wet i can have an impact on the strength - if you mixt i too dry you prevent the reaction from running properly and will have definitly a weaker endproduct this does not really matter in your case - but if you pour, for example, a concrete slab or a foundation, you need to follow the instructions properly - and if it is outside you need to cover the fresh concrete from direct sunlight or rain and sometimes you even need to keep it wet to prevent cracks in the surface
Love your videos mate! You're making some awesome stuff and look forward to trying some of this myself. Your vids are as entertaining as they are informative and I will continue to share and point my friends and family to your channel. Keep it up legend 👍🏽
I like that you include areas where you might have make a small mistake or two, as I am prone to tons of them, it makes these DIY vids much more relatable, can't wait to see what else you create down the line.
Absolutely. I always make mistakes, why hide them. I'm not a professional by no means. The goal is keep the viewers know where I went into issues. Thanks again for your support. I will keep the projects coming.
Great build man, i love the idea of using concrete to make this kind of thing. If you want some color in the candle block, maybe ad some coloring agent to the mixture, it makes things pop out with the color, but still keep the cement texture. I used spray-lacquer to finish of some projects and it also works very well.
Great work. Learning lots on your videos. I think since I'm going to epoxy the wood to the bottom, I may try to decrease the height of the concrete. Hoping that doesn't make it weaker. Thanks for the tips!
That's awesome Thank you. If you want to make the concrete thinner I would suggest using some chicken wire. You can also use a wire clothes hanger cut it into pieces and place it in the concret to provide extra support.
Nice design! I saw a cool trick on making a concrete countertop. They used a recip saw without a blade up against the form to vibrate out all the bubbles and make a smoother edge. Thought it was a good idea.
Nice tip with the reciprocating saw. I use a large bolt in a hammer drill, really rocks those bubbles out and settles the concrete a treat. Thanks for sharing.
Small tip with concrete: Use an old electric tooth brush or ladies toy to get air bubbles out of you mix. Just run the tooth brush or toy on each side to vibrate out any air bubbles trapped. This will give you a more solid and consistent curing processes.
Good heavens! You are not just creative, you're an artist! I love watching you make things!
I'm working my way through all you videos. They are so cool... like dayum!! I'm inspired!!!!!

Really nice and creative. Young man you are an inspiration. Keep doing your thing!

Thank you. Sorry not a pro just a DIY guy. Not everything will be perfect its all trial and error, live and learn.
*apparently
thx, i'm not a native speaker and appreciate feedback to improve myself :)
I really enjoyed your videos..they inspire me a lot bro....you deserve like ,share and subscribe..
This is true, however, excess water in the mix also produces lesser quality concrete, and ends up evaporating out.
Nice Job! Nice tools too. Great and clear presentation.
