We have a 'simple family' situation, and found Epilogue worked well for our wills and POA. It's not for everybody (like the 2nd marriages mentioned in the video). Also, agree with the importance of reviewing every investment account...especially TFSA's.

Unfortunately, CRA decided that Sole Proprietors are no longer eligible to have the HSA. I do have a couple of clients that have the HSA.

I am wondering about Canada banks, if I grow my retirement nest in bank or investment account, how protected is that money? I hear about USA banks going under and people losing money, and only getting $400k back? How does that work in Canada especially in some big banks like TD, Scotia, BMO? Do I need to split my investments across those banks? Like what happens if one bank that holds my investments goes under for some reason in the future, will I lose my investments that that bank holds for me? Like if I have investment/trading account with that bank?
