Vasiliki Lefkada, Greece - Βασιλική Λευκάδα, Ελλάδα

Vasiliki is a picturesque fishing village situated on Lefkada Island. Evergreen slopes surround it, and it lies around a stunning bay with a long pebbled beach and perfect conditions for windsurfing and sailing. The area is home to numerous traditional Greek tavernas, restaurants, bars, and discos, making it an excellent destination for visitors looking for an active nightlife. The village's charming traditional harbourfront has lovely pavement cafes, shops, and ice cream parlours, allowing visitors to explore the area's local cuisine and culture.
Ferry boats run daily to and from the well-known beaches of Porto Katsiki, Agiofili, and Egremni, as well as the islands of Kefalonia and Ithaka. Vassiliki village is situated on the eastern side of Vassiliki Bay, while the bay's western side is called Ponti. A coastal road connects Vassiliki and Ponti, allowing visitors to take a leisurely stroll and take in the scenery. The area has pebble and sandy beaches (Ponti) with crystal clear warm sea waters.
Vasiliki, a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, offers a myriad of activities to suit every taste. The bay's ideal climatic conditions make the area of Ponti one of the best worldwide for windsurfing, attracting water sports enthusiasts from around the globe. We've been to Vass 8 times, the last time in 2015. We decided to call it a draw when Amoussa Bay beach became overcrowded, Porto Katsiki was rammed, as was Agiofili. Yet.............we are missing Vass terribly, and are already looking to return next year. If Yanni is still in charge at The Vass Bar, then it is definite! if Yiannis is still serving his Gyros pita on the corner, then it is beyond definite!!!
