Hi Bobby there is a very touristy place in le marais called l, AS du falafel and a little further away another les popular place called Chez H anna in rue des Rosiers . it would be very fun if you could try both falafels and judge the best one . they are not that expensive and are pretty teasty.i would love that video. have fun in paris.
I visited three of these places. I took note from this publication. No one is for that price. And the pan au chocolat near the Bastille is not good, even the one you can get at Franprix is better and cheaper! And you know it's true Bobby....

I live in Paris (Canadian-born). Trust me, when you live for years, you do get sick of all the carbs after a while, or at least I did. And those bakery pizzas....simultaneously dry and oily. Much prefer a NY style slice.
My family and I are in Paris right now for the holidays and we went to the cafe called Les Philosophes located in a small nook near the merais district I believe. Local favorite, packed all the time, and everything is homemade. We had the daily starter and main plate and it was out of this world. Hope you can visit it as you won’t be disappointed! I will also go to some of the restaurants you mentioned in the video thank you!
The restaurant that you are in at around 9:35 was debunked for reheating meals and charging a fortune for them on a French TV show, so... sorry about the authenticity :/ The ambiance looks great though :)

Chartier is not what it was before. Now they only use industrial, frozen ingredients. I went there once and I didn't like it at all. I love Paris and lived there for 14 years. It's my favourite place in the world. I know sooo many good restaurants there but Chartier isn't one I would recommend. Instead, you should try Chez Paul rue Charonne, the best authentic French food ever, made from fresh ingredients, not some frozen s*** from unknown places. There is also an Eritrean restaurant worth going to. Vive la France.
Somali food is delicious, and unique to them. People are quick to forget they have the largest coast line in Africa with the Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden etc.. so no surprise of they introduced the Sambusa to the India!! After all they are well known seafarers or as people now want to claim them as pirates for protecting their seas!!

I feel like Paris is overrated. I went like two years ago during summer break and it just felt like being in a huge gift shop filled with sweaty tourists. It’s was also like 150 degrees (I know It was summer but that was bad even for summer) and it was so dirty. When I was a little kid and I used to go there it used to be nicer but now the whole world goes there so it’s not anymore. Munich is great, though.
