    Oooohhhhh I love your tip about wearing a fitted cami between a shirt and sweater to smooth it out! I'll definitely try that!

    I love cashmere sweaters with a single/double stripe down the sleeve or at the waist/neckline for sporty chic. I have another couple of cashmere sweaters with a small graphic at the front, fairly simple and classic but a little different at the same time, e.g. letter of the alphabet or number or star or rainbow motif. Thank you Nada, excellent content as usual, we appreciate all your research x

    I’d love a video on the proper modern way to wear tunics/ long sweaters with leather and velvet leggings! I think regular jersey leggings are too thin, hence the warmer and thicker and more flattering leather/ velvet options. Colors to say yes to, colors to say no to? Matching the color of leggings with shoes?
    And how to pair with the right shoes/ boots?
    I so trust your expertise Nada!!! Thank you for all that you do❤

    Great tips. Thank you Nada. I'm a knitter, and I have made sweaters that just don't work on my frame too, which is learning the hard way!
    I agree that the first up cardigan is definitely workable.

    Oh wow…great tip to add a fitted cami over a button up shirt under a sweater for a sleek look. Love that!

    Honestly, I think the first thing to think about when buying a sweater is to find one that flatters your body shape. For example, I have an inverted triangle body shape, so chunky sweaters are verboten (unless I want my top half to look even larger). I will always prefer a fine knit. I also do better with a long line sweater - especially one that has waist definition. Case in point: I have two v-neck, empire waist, hip length sweaters (with elbow length bell sleeves) that balance my proportions perfectly.
    Also, I will search high and low for clothing - including sweaters - that look good on me when I just throw it on. I don't want to HAVE to "style" it to make myself NOT look dumpy in a piece of clothing. I think clothing manufacturers are currently making boxy, un-designed clothes (for example hardly anyone makes a waistband anymore) because it's cheaper and they're telling us it's fashion. And we are buying it, (Well, I don't buy it.), and spending time wondering why we don't look good in our clothes!

    Thanks Nada another great video. My favourite combo recently has been chunky cropped cardigan worn as sweater with faux leather pants, I like the contrast in texture. Hi from Australia 🦘

    I like cashmere sweaters for warmth without bulk. I know they are expensive, but I have been buying a new one each winter in a different neutral color. So far, I’ve purchased these colors: camel, black, navy, and olive. They are all from Nordstrom during their annual sales. All good tips, thank you Nada!

    Love these tips! I’m in Minnesota so definitely we do get those 9 months of sweater weather per year! I have a lot of longer open front and waterfall style cardigans which I do love but starting to see how the oversized look can be frumpier. Going to try belting them this winter as I’ve just picked up a few oversized or thicker belts. Interesting what you say about bulky vs fine gauge sweaters. Going to look at that, too! I tend to gravitate to fine knit so i don’t get so hot and so I can layer. Does adding a belt to a long fine knit sweater help?

    Amen! When I knew I was moving to the Seattle area I immediately started shopping for sweaters! 😂 I discovered I NEED short sweaters. With long arms😆. And I don't like crew necks on me. This last one puzzles me as they are so popular, but I guess it has something to do with my short upper body (the reason I need a short overall length).

    • @NadaManley
      @NadaManley  11 місяців тому +2

      Short sweaters with long arms! Yes! I think the crew neck part is probably because a v-neck elongates your shorter upper body. :)

    Being 5'2 and busty and having sensitive skin at this age is really making wearing sweaters hard. I don't know how to tuck them in and not look messy or bulky in the tummy

    • @NadaManley
      @NadaManley  11 місяців тому +5

      I am also 5'2 and busty with sensitive skin! I feel you completely! I am finding that very tight sweaters are not my friend. A little blousiness at a cropped length is best for me. And cropped makes it easier because of my short torso. Have you tried using a hair tie and turning the knot under? That can create the look of a cropped sweater which can really work on us. For me a sweater that is just the right amount of loose is the most flattering. I hope that helps!

    Thank you Nada for your great video! Greetings from cold Poland 👋🏻 talking about sweaters I have another question. Often when I try oversized ones I am struggling with lowered shoulder line (I have quite wide arms), how this particular detail influence on look? I am trying to find casual look to cozy wear with leggins but I get lost…

    I don’t have the smoothest upper torso. I feel more comfortable in a body skimming fine knit sweater opposed to fitted knit. Is that awful?

    • @NadaManley
      @NadaManley  2 місяці тому

      Not at all! These are general guidelines and you have to wear what flatters you! Thanks so much for the comment Valerie!
