    Loving that Hamilton dropped to my Ravens at 14. Should have been a top 7 pick.

    Here again after 2 years now that Hamilton is an All Pro who made the NFL top 100 for the 1st time. Simms was spot on with the versatility analysis.
    As a Raven's fan who had been longing for anybody close to Ed Reed playmaking ability, I couldn't be happier. Even though Hamilton is more SS/Star player than FS (like Reed), you just know every game you watch, 14 has a chance to make a game wrecking play.

    Kyle Hamilton should match up well against the DK Metcalfs, Travis Kelsey’s, Darren Wallers, etc etc he’ll be a good hybrid player. Every safety my ravens have can play everywhere WELL. We’ll find out where he excels

    • @joshsmith3598

      Kelce? Oh Boy, he would get eaten alive by Kelce. He struggled with athletic receivers in CFB that isn't going to magically get better in the NFL.

      @@joshsmith3598 they had him expected top 5 in the draft guy…ppl who been evaluating players for decades. He started at ND as a freshman, which DOESN’T happen btw & was extremely productive sense then. Saying ppl don’t “magically get better in the NFL” is comical. So you think players peak in COLLEGE??? 😂😂 their not even done growing & developing into the apex of manhood yet. My Baltimore ravens definitely know how to “magically make players better” there’s levels to this game. I bet he’ll surprise you

      Also watch his 40- he was all over the place- weaving left n right cost him prob .15 - .2 of a second- many guys boost their stock by learning to run 40s specifically- he obvs didnt- focused on football, and that is to the ravens benefit tbh

    scheme fit with him, but he's a special athlete, also with that's size he can cover TE and play him in the box like a linebacker

    • @joshsmith3598
      @joshsmith3598 2 роки тому

      He can cover some TEs not all. TEs in the NFL are at a different level. Waller, Kelce and a few others have superb route running skills, can beat man coverage routinely and get deep down the seams which Hamilton's lack of speed will struggle to stay with.

    Hamilton has elite quickness and anticipation to get huge “jumps” on plays. He plays faster than he is.

    Thanks Ed Reed 40 time wasn't great either lol...4.59 Hamilton (4.56 pro day), Reed 4.57 GO RAVENS

    • @joshsmith3598
      @joshsmith3598 2 роки тому

      This is badly misleading. Reed had elite short area quickness, that allowed him to change direction on a dime and run with receivers or make sharp cuts to get to plays. Hamilton does not have that quickness so the comparison to Reed is a poor one.

    • @LeMan8o4
      @LeMan8o4 2 роки тому +1

      @@joshsmith3598 I don’t think it’s “badly misleading”…
      I’d argue that Ed Reed is not his actual comp … I’m think more Malcolm Jenkins or Darren Sharper. Size and (enough) speed.
      Ed Reed’s 40 time IS his 40time. You’re negating anticipation, a thing Hamilton clearly has.
      Would you even be comparing him to Reed had he not been drafted by The Ravens? 🤔
      Reed is STUPID rare! The man even baited Peyton Manning.
      But good for Hamilton to go to The Ravens where he doesn’t have to immediately lead a DB room. He’s a Swiss Army knife in the Secondary.
      Can cover TE’s and stick his nose in there on runs!
      Getting a willing tackler as a rookie is important.
