Always wondered how prog rock songs were formed and seeing this jam session, I get it now. Talented musicians and chemistry make great moments in music.
This is brilliant! I love Elise's drumming and everything else about her. And Zane's guitar playing and style remind me of one of my favourite British musicians - Vini Reilly (Durutti Column).
She can play and she's really a beauty. I mean really! But if she's not singing with that lush voice of hers, we are all being short changed. She's right there with the exotic voices like Sade. I could listen to her forever!
I'm here for her, but this GOOD! Reminds me of stuff from 60's and early 70's, the really long songs they used to play on FM, late at night, that always had a jam like this. Makes me want to spark up a fatty....
he's not bad either??? shes an amazing musician jack of all trades master of none but beyond average for sure. Him tho he's a master at his craft my dude. Awesome at the guitar.
It's the floating groove provided by drums which sometimes seems to be missing from some of Zane's other stuff (not that that's not great too, though).
I love Zane's dark jazzy tones. It's at perfect level of being slightly uneasing but not full-out-jazzy that is incomprehensive for me. Elise is also great and I wonder how much of it is improvisation and how much they know what they are playing in advance.
Agreed, these two are really in sync. In addition to the 4:10 section Rollo Tomasi pointed out, I keep coming back to the part at 1:50 where they transition from relaxed jazz into a more intense bluesy atmospheric jam (ua-cam.com/video/ZZkwvfakKC8/v-deo.html). I feel the need to go practice a thousand hours... (sorry if repost, my original comment didn't seem to show up)
Question about genre below - This can only be called "T-5 Immersion" - you never know what will come out of a T-5 once you get into it. It's like magic, the T-5 just makes you do things. Elise plays a T-5, too
WOW I am not a drummer but I know a good one when I see one. Her technique shows she is a master of the drumkit! I would love to see this whole performance up close and in slow motion.
Unfortunately Zane is a little hard to follow rhythmically and Elise has to constantly adjust her groove to try and stay with him. This is hard to listen to because of that.
Even he realized that at some points, the problem with jamming and improv is that sometimes you mess up your own rythms. Was funny and light hearted though, I enjoyed it a lot.
The title of this video clearly states that they've never played together before. I thought this was fantastic considering the circumstances. This is what "jamming out" is all about. It's about being experimental and creative and not being afraid of venturing outside the box for a new sound. A+
Answered this on the other video but thought it was worthy of another comment. :) This was at NAMM which is a music trade show. Two different booths one being a drum booth and one for Veritas Guitars. So it was actually extremely lucky that they could play together as you normally don't have a drum booth and a guitar booth right besides each other. But yes, not ideal, especially considering the noise level in that room was over 100 db's, but that's why God invented headphones. Right?
Ole boy serious on that guitar.. Like a young Jimmy page.. But my girl e. Stills the show once again.. Elise.. This may seem creepy.. But was dreaming I was the gum u was chewing on.. So sik how u went to top of the drum then bak down to bottom.. My pretty percussionist.. Ughh.. This GA boy got it bad 4 u.. The only time u can say Grace with drums

I could listen to the two of them play like this for hours. Great duo!

And they're jammin here? Incredible! The chemistry is great! Just listen to that brain wave at 4:10... Thanks for sharing!
Rollo Tomasi i got goosebumps there!
So did I! :D
me too...a tear as well
It's weirdly matched .
That moment is amazing!
WOW I stayed for the whole thing you guys had a great conversation!
Love the spacey sound and Middle Eastern influence in this, Trouw follows it perfectly. It sounds surprisingly full for just a guitar and drums
The fact that there is no bassist really showcases Zane’s tastefulness
Elise Trouw really good drummer I saw her on Instagram and clicked this because I didn't know he knew her, so cool. :P Im a fan of her now lol.
she's so gorgeous that it hurts
So painful
@@chinchy111 But we keep on looking!
nothing beats natural beauty!

I know she's got great chops, but her simplicity and restraint in this jam session is truly admirable. He's not bad, either.
???!!!

Bloody unreal. Would watch hours of this
You guys make me happy to be alive! What Wonderfulness. Can't wait to hear what you'll play at your wedding! Big cyber hug to y'all!
I'm just floating around in happiness! This is so so COOL 😍😍😍 I am so late to the party
Wow just wow I have now been reintroduced to true beauty 😍 😳 and the music is inspiring too....
She is amazing!!
That beggining of happiness is a warm gun at 4:17 lol
Elise est une passionnée ...la grâce se mélange a la volupté c est ce qui fait tout son charme.
Great to hear. would like to see more Jazz by Zane.
It's the floating groove provided by drums which sometimes seems to be missing from some of Zane's other stuff (not that that's not great too, though).
Impossibly Lovely !
excellent. how cool!
Love this, I can get lost in it for hours :-)))))))))))
Sublime.
J'adore, bravo !
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT !

Just love it :)
LOVE IT!
So good!
So out there and with tones of Arabic influence and I do hear some Radiohead type influence and sounds as well.
definitely watching out for these 2

I loved it. Especially the part at 3:14
Great!

It was amazing!!!
Once again, wow.
Zane's a beast with the guitar
They are amazing. This is an epic moment 4:11 !!!

An admission. I started watching because she is beautiful. Then I started listening.
Her music is amazing. Just listen.
Omg, this is just great ;D
So Amazing and Enjoyable WOW ... Was anything they played written, or was it all improvisation?
Total improve. They literally sat down and said, lets jam.
That's some nice communication.
Man, that must have been so fun. There's just nothing better than jammin'.
What guitar is he playing?
A right-handed one.
Hearing muffed and muted strings is less barrable when the guitarist wears woollen mittens... quite good even so.
thanks kid giant! sorry bout the comments they kept getting reposted..

Good sympathetic drumming; lots of subtle but satisfying fills and not trying to make it a drum solo.
Im glad to see that even the greats makes mistakes. Because we are all human

def not true. Elise adjusts in an average 2 seconds here and sometimes Zane adjusts to her so its like a live jam heaven.
holy fuck i needed that
Prettiest drum machine I’ve seen in a while ......
🥀🌻🍒
wondering what song this is
evarina amiron no song in particular. Just a jam made up on the spot. This will probably be the only time you'll hear it.
oh ok thanks! coz i've got it on replay.. this jam has a radiohead vibe going on there..a bit like during their pablo honey days
ok thanks! coz i got it on replay..this jam has a radiohead vibe going on there..

ok thanks! can't help but feel that it has a radiohead vibe going on there..thought it was one of their b sides
What genre of music is this, It's amazing?? is it classified as soul, or jazz or what... wanna hear more like it! :o
Jazz/Fusion/experimental with blues and indie/classic rock influences. Or.... just musicians jamming.
You might like the band "American Football".
post rock
She has the face of an Angel
We can chip in to buy some pants
Nothing like a T-5
That's a Veritas custom guitar not a taylor t5
Guess pretty privelege really a thing since nobody is mentioning how good Zane Carney is.
That man bun could use some cinnamon.
basically just blues over a ii v I
Never heard of him.
He looks like mitch jones. lol
Why are they segregated from each other

@@kidgiant ah, it all makes sense now
Bill Frisell but with more chops and played cleaner.
More chops?.... hmmm, I think you're missing Frisell's genius.
Just play Elise, let him follow you... lol and smile, your's is wonderful.
alv
iam here for the pretty lady

"you're just a blues player." and not even a good one.
Its good but kinda boring..
Proves it doesn't have to be loud to be good...
