    Tara this is a beautiful piece! I first learned of this technique by Elyse Fournier and then Bonnie Keane (Fluids by Keane) a few years ago. Now I see Dwight & Sarah doing it with beautiful results too... But yours is unique with the Dutch wave washing over the pearls. Very beautiful.
    This is one of those techniques I've never been able to perfect with the white in the past - and I tried at least 20-30 times. I seem to have no trouble with the gold pearl cells but these white ones elude me!! ❤️
    Beautiful video too.

      Thanks Heather! I first saw it with Dwight and since watching his videos I have been subsequently turned on to Sara, Elyse and most recently Bonnie. I am now following them all on either UA-cam or Instagram. They are all awesome artists and I’m so excited to try out the techniques they have pioneered. I realized I’m never going to be anyone of them because they are so unique...just as you are...so I decided to put my own spin on it. I’m so happy you like it...I appreciate your feedback as a fellow artist who is well respected...it means a lot to me. ❤️

    Tara, this is so beautiful. ❤ I am enjoying ALL of you videos and I appreciate you so so much bc you explain in such detail and I haven't came personally across any others that do so. I also love your tutorial explaining exactly how you mix all of your paints in ounces and that's so helpful. Honestly, I have been alittle scared 😵when blowing out my paints, but you have showed me its ok and if it doesn't work, add more paint and go again 😊 So thanks again Tara❤ 🙏 Happy Pouring

    This is beautiful ....gorgeous! I am so glad you have got it down now.....love the colors.....and the design. I've been able to use it and I know the 'feeling' when you see those wonderful cells pop up.....lol. I've been doing abstracts but mostly landscapes....and just love them....took me a while to get it down where I was able to just use them where I needed them rather then all over. I as well don't use floetrel in the landscapes..but have used it as well with success and your are right ...just like Abstract N Flow and Sara and Cindy Vanderveen, and MelyD (the one I saw use it for the first time ) and Elyse Fournier said...and so many others have said.....repeatedly..............it is the consistency and the stretch ..so simple yet ...not so easy at times lol. Thank you for putting this up....so that we could enjoy it 's beauty. Well done~!!!

      Hello Ana! Thank you so much. As far as the cells go…check out my videos on how I mix my paints for pearl cell technique. Those are results of that technique! ☺️❤️🙏🏻

    That is beautiful. So you got those white cells from overstretching your base? Am I understanding that?

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  3 роки тому

      Yes. You need to have satin enamel in your base coat and your base consistency has to be very thin for this technique. The base coat formula is in the description box.

    New to your channel and love the combo of techniques! So, do you not need to use house paint when you use Decoart semi gloss? Thank you.

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  3 роки тому

      No, I don’t use DecoArt Satin Enamels when I use the satin enamel house paint. It’s not necessary. You probably could but you would have to probably adjust your ratios of each down so that you get smaller cells and not just puffy clouds. Hope that helps! ❤️🙏🏻

      @@PiecesofTaraArtistry thank you for always replying and for all of your help. Your mixing video is phenomenal. And let me preface this by saying that I have been happily married to my husband for 11 years but if you were here right now I would give you a big smack on the cheek 😂 I did my FIRST successful pearl pour with a semi successful Dutch pour just now! I went and bought all the stuff you used, followed your instructions and it worked! I’m not as happy with my color composition but it’s a win to me because both techniques worked. I’m so happy I’m almost in tears, thank you thank you thank you so much! I will try to find you on one of the social media platforms so I can show you the piece! Again, thank you ❤️

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Dora. In the puddle and Dutch pour colors I don’t put Liquitex in. I use my pouring medium of 50% GAC 800 and 50% Floetrol mixed with all my colors to the consistency in my mixing video. My video I put out a week ago explains how I mix my paints. I only use Liquitex in my base coat. Hope that helps.
