- Camping with dogs! Day 2 at Jellystone Park in Grayling, Michigan! Today my parents brought the kids down for a few hours so they could experience the park! After they left, it was getting pretty hot, so we loaded up the dogs and headed down the backroads! We found the Wilderness Trail forest fire that happened just a few weeks ago in Grayling. Then we found a really nice spot on the south branch of the Ausable River to take the dogs swimming in the river! It was hot, so this was a perfect way to cool off! Camping with dogs day 2 was a success!

I was 7 years old when we had our summer vacation in Michigan/Wisconsin/Minnesota in ‘73. We had a rented pop-up camper and stayed at a campground probably not far from you for day trips around MI, including Mackinac Island and Sault St. Marie, then we stopped at my great-great-uncle’s house in St. Paul, then a Jellystone Park in Wisconsin before returning home to Chicagoland. I remember liking the WI park a lot, but really enjoyed the island and the locks in Michigan the most.
I remember Cindy Bear, she's Yogi Bear's girlfriend !!! I'm a child of the 1960's.!! The Jellystone Campgrounds are wonderful places to camp! Looks like you and the girls had a great time! 🌞

Eleanor had the best time in the river. She was so happy. It has been a heat wave here in Georgia too. The heat index for the next few days will be in the 100s and the smog alert to go with it. The girls are happy campers for real.

Love your camping videos! The girls are such happy campers. That stream dip was just the ticket. Eleanor hopping about with Jamie was hilarious. Everybody got in and river danced! Your bro’s children seemed to have a ball, they are darling. How wonderful your Mom and Dad can care for them. Those hot dogs looked so kid friendly, and the hamburgers looked delicious!

There’s this camp that I used to go called Camp Kesem it’s a camp for kids 6 - 18 years old that has a parent with cancer and have lost a parent to cancer. It’s a one week camp for them to get their mind off of what’s going on at home and it’s so much fun. It is run by many college students and I found three college in Michigan that have a Camp Kesem Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University and University of Michigan. So if you want you can share this information with your brother and sister in law . I’m telling you about this camp because when I was 10 and my sister was 13 when we lost my dad to cancer and that camp have definitely changed my life so I figured that maybe it would be the same with your nephew and niece. ❤
