When an alien race bent on destroying Earth kills a boy's friend, a benevolent alien AI transfers his dead friend's soul into a guitar and gives him a helmet which grants superhuman abilities. With his newfound powers and sentient guitar by his side, he protects the earth from an alien menace that feeds on electricity.
