Did the hitch come with the trailer or was it purchased separately?
Very nice bro! I would up the teeth count on the spur gear to get more torque and put less stress on the clutch. Awesome project!

Nailed it with the proof of concept. Even a burnt clutch is worth proving the truck can tow even if you swap the electric motor for a gas.

Awesome Steve. Any thoughts on painting maybe just the sides of the trailer to match the truck or just a touch of aluminum here and there to part away from too military vs civilian vehicle?. Or you feel like the project has gotten far enough?. Just giving something else to think about. Lol

Hi Tank....it's sweet. i drop a real trailer from a semi before...it was a good thing my boss didnt catch me. He did catch me doing a180 oneday....the damn train was 3-5 miles long..idk
i was only 1/4 mile from the shop and had to drive back towards the shop.
He block the road and gave me a tongue lashing...

So cause of the clutch it has less pulling power compared to the factory battery F450 set up ?
Yeah well the electric motor has no clutch. The nitro conversion is using a basic two shoe clutch

If you lower the gear ratio in the truck it would make it so have a little more torque to move that little easier you loosen speed but gain torque
