- HQ(stereo): • Vangelis - Tears in Ra... Blade Runner rooftop scene and random space graphics, all in glorious old school 320x240 resolution.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire
off the shoulder of Orion.
I've watched C-beams
glitter in the dark
near the Tannhäuser Gate.
All those moments
will be lost
in time
like tears in the rain.
[time to die]
in 2007, I lost my wife in a car accident and both my kids (twins) by leukemya, in their burial i found myself "reciting" this sensible words to myself as a way to take the events.... what they saw, learned and listened in their brief lives ended pretty much like "tears in the rain".... part of me died along with them , Oso, Ross and Ady , MISS YOU SO MUCH !!!
God bless you sir.
I'm so sorry. I hope you can still live a decent life for their sake.
They live inside you, memories, the love and happiness you shared even briefly. Make new memories as they want you to carry on. Peace be with you.
I hope you are doing well today.
🥀
'Every man dies...not every man really lives.'
I think I'll put that as a quote for discussion with my pupils during our next philosophy lesson, nice thought thank you.

Nobody should live life without seeing this movie at least once for this scene alone. Still remains my favorite and one of the most impacting scenes, to me, I've ever watched from a film.
12 years
Rest in Peace
Rutger Hauer!
You gave us the science fiction line of a lifetime! We are forever grateful
Unbelievable performances by Harrison Ford And Rutger Hauer.
yes
Today he died . 26 / 7 / 2019 . Rip
It was Rutger AKA Roy Batty who carried the movie and not Harrison Ford.
the best saddest ending to one of the best film ever blade runner I allways shed a tear brill film never gets old x
🕊️😢
RIP Rutger, 07/25/2019, this the day I heard of your death, this is how I will always remember you.
I think Roy Batty dies February 2019. At the age of four years old.
🙏 indeed
This movie will always have a place in my heart, no matter how many years go by. Everything about it means a lot to me.
Very powerful scene. I always found Vangelis' music helped to transcend this movie to epic status. The whole feeling of the movie is something no one has been able to replicate. More's the pity.
You made this movie great RH. Thank you. Hope you are watching C-beams glitter.
My all time favourite sci fi film, even more stunning in bluray
RIP Rutger Hauer, RIP Roy
All we are, all we think of as life, gets washed away by time. All our moments are lost, all our loved ones are buried in that unique moment that makes you and me so special. We have lost so many that have come before us, and we will loose lots more. So treasure that unique moment in time only known to you... as we will all get lost in time.
Time, to die...
"You've done a man's job, sir. I guess you're through, huh?"
NorthForkFisherman Finished
Confuzer"Too bad she won't live. But then again, who does?"
Nobody, we all don't know how much time we have, no termination date. But we will all be swept away by the tide of coming ages... and nobody will know us but us.
Confuzer well put! Agreed!
the way he just explains how he wanted to be remembered and heard is just so totally memorable
"Time to die" ... in loving memory of those we lose X
It kinda seems like the dove flying away may represent his soul leaving the body, giving some hope that, even in death, they would live on.
Yessir
It was a replicant dove, perhaps it's a metaphor for piece, that they'll achieve it.
I fell in love with this score years ago. Everytime it chokes me up. The only thing that saddens me is that I will never be able to experience the things Roy did
perfect final to a perfect movie
Amen, bro.
This is one of those scenes that I cannot tear myself away from, even if it is on some TV sanitized version.
The way the visuals set the mood of Batty's end, then the magnificent way that Rutger Hauer delivers those profound closing lines.
You really UNDERSTAND what it would be to be a replicant, denied a full life span and with a fully human conscience, and you would understand the despair and desire - against all his enmity - to allow Deckard to live anyway.
Simply magical.
One of my all time favourite films, great script, great director, great actors, great music, and not a computer generated shot to be seen, just pure human skill!
I don't know why but this always brings a tear to my eye...reminds me of a simpler time when both my folks were alive....pure magic...
Beautiful! Just beautiful!
RIP Vangelis. See you off the shoulders of Orion.
I' ve never get tired of this video. I love the original escene, the theme of Vangelis and the beautiful of Cosmos. Wonderful.
I am the universe perceiving itself.
My agnostic side says we made ourselves. I am perplexed by the paradox.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."
I hope that travel to another life or dimension is accompanied by music like this. Rest well, Mr. Rutger Hauer.
My favorite movie moment of all time.
>yfw you will never see c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate
But I have seen attack-ship on fire.........................
veteran2000 Off the Shoulder of Orion?
NorthForkFisherman No, but we have on UA-cam.
veteran2000 Ehhhh....close enough. LOL
I have seen a-beams and b-beams near some unknown gate, but ... meh... it's not comparable...
It's weird how I haven't seen the whole movie yet. and I feel WAY more sympathy and emotion for this guy than I ever had for any of the main cast in all 3 of the Transformers Movies.
One of my all time favorite films, scores and this soliloquy has always taken my breath and heart to places beyond imagination.
Such an epic movie and it will never lose its replay value.
almost ...make me cry ...everytime j watch it.....Unreacheable movie!
I watched hundreds of movies (all kind) but i really can say, this is best movie ever... and best SF in history... Epic story, music, pictures and actors. I will remember it as long as live... Bravo Harrison Ford and R. Scott....
This is an incredible compilation. Thank you for putting it together.
Music is such a powerful medium. When I listen to this I'm transported back the 80s instantly
Always in my top 5 have been watching at least once a year since release, this film is a true Classic. Great post.
See ya Vangelis. You were great and your moments will be eternal in human history
''And maybe, in these last moments, he loved life more than anything. Not only his own, but the one of others... mine...''
-Deckard
Either way, it's really refreshing to see at least ONE thread on youtube that ignites some decent conversation without pointless bitching but respect for other peoples opinions, without taking it personally, as for the video it yields a deep profound beauty that charms me completely. That fine line between sad / beautiful is what i live for...
Gets me every time, magnificent collection of sights and sounds.
Great. One of the best scenes ever, you did it justice, thank you.
I come back to this video so often...it's truly touching, and superbly made.
Fantastically put together! Thank you.
I've listen to this master piece so many times ! Pure musical genius + incredibely well chosen words !
this is an epic film and this scene is worthy of an award of epic proportions...and I love the fact that Rutger made this up as he went....
great post!
is a mixture of melancholy, sad, relaxing music and rain, awesome. the best film
Thank you for this, absolutely fantastic!!!
This movie instantly became my favorite over all others because of this scene. Complete genius. Ty to all involved in making this. Extremely impacting every time I watch it.
You have nailed this perfectly.
Big thanks !
Best movie, best music! Happy to watch such a masterpiece....
vangelis is a master of his art. fantastic video. all of creation even in its fallen state reflects the glory of the ONE WHO spoke it into being out of nothing. have a nice day
Tears in the Rain is perfect for that scene, I like a wide range of music and Vangelis has the gift to please.
Beautifully made, thank you.
Beautiful images.. capturing the music and the moment.
Bravo, good work especially on the end adding parts from the movie with the emotion they express after what was seen it was almost as if we went there ourselves
Very great scene in this film I love how all the elements come together!
well put together, bro!
you have captured the feeling of this great movie scene!
thx for making this vid!
That is a very valid point. I just find it almost hypnotic, losing the aggresion of the fight and violent story for a couple of mins to explore Rutgar Haur's mind, knowing he is at peace.
Amazing. Vangelis soundtrack and Rutger 'Oscar' deserved acting.
Vangelis created a masterpiece in doing this soundtrack... Bladerunner (to me) is a love story and we all want to be loved and remembered. Eventually all memories are lost ... like tears in the rain. I almost cry for Roy hearing this. So moving...
Thanks so much for the upload. The visuals you chose are brilliant! :)
Thanks for the beautiful post. It should have been in the movie just like this. It adds so much to the dialogue portion too.
Thank you so much for putting what he said in the description box.
Intelligently, and beautifully done!!!
Thank You!!!
Beautifully made!
One of the best movies ever.
One of those rare moments when an artists grasp matched his reach. Deserves a special Oscar for most poignant moment in science fiction film history. I didn't think it could be done again, but Kay's death in 2049 came damn close to this. Thank God for Villeneuve, who is single handedly saving science fiction in cinema.
doesn't get much better than vangelis here
not just the best scene in this film for me the best scene ever .hes speaking for all of us .the words are so poignent .weve all seen things and done things in life .and we all have to go .
Most excellent visuals brought to an exquisite soliloquy. One of my favorite speeches in film.
Good job!
I have loved this scene for 27 years. It is one of the most profound expressions of the human heart I have ever seen in film.
Makes the skin on my arms go goose bumpy and brings tears to my eyes everytime - absolutely FAN-FLIPPIN AWESOMELY-TASTIC!
Wow. Goosebumps. I love this scene!
Ya! this is so Awesome!!! one of my favorite all time posts on the tube!!!
Best Sci-Fi movie ever made!!
one of those films that will stay in your mind all your life:) and the music will allways be classic
Beautiful. You captured it perfectly.
superb! This is one of the most profound moments in the movie.
Love this video! It's mesmerizing, touching, and lovely.
This is completely awesome. Beautiful.
I am a huge Haur fan, and Blade runner, Haur first. But it was this very movie where I discovered my favorite actor, And I have to say I love your rendition of this timeless scene. Excellent job! Thank you!
Wow, this is nicely done. Saved to favorites....thank you
IMO, Roy's speech (and the story) are really about painfully beautiful sublime moments of life (and love) - as we strive in the face of oblivion - even though such moments are lost in the dark overwhelming universe.
Brilliant, Just Brilliant, Tears in rain, such profound words. Everything we have ever seen and experienced will on day be lost 'Like Tears In Rain'
Blade Runner is The One and everything about Blade Runner is wonderful. The imagination of Vangelis comes from the other world or time surely.
There will never be another movie like this just like there will never be another Mona Lisa....
it's awesome to think that a movie can let us to dream forever...it's only a film...but it's so big that it become not only a film but a way to live our feelings and a way to live our dream...i do not speak english but i can speak feelings like all other people...
gave me chills... thanks man.
one of my favorite artists, very nice.
Beautiful music and a profound performance from Hauer. Probably my favourite scene in film
A masterpiece of a video. Poignant words from Blade Runner, plus celestial beauty as if lifted from 2001. BTW, did I mention there's a lunar eclipse tonight?
Simply wonderful !!!
masterpiece and these final words-Epilogue,makes me think,all over again,those words...........am speechless,each time,hearing this..-Thank you so much,for sharing!
Happy 30th birthday, Blade Runner!
