- Welcome to Sonne Farms! On this channel we showcase numerous jobs a Corn/Soybean/Beef producing operation takes on each day. Hop in the cab or sorting alley with Cole, Brian, and Jeff, to see how life really is for the people that help feed the US and the rest of the world. In addition to Corn, Soy, and Cattle, Sonne Farms puts up grass and alfalfa and sells pure bred Black Angus Bulls in South Dakota.

Brians song of the day? “ baby it’s cold outside.”
Thanks Cole for being a dedicated you tuber, working by yourself in -10 degree weather is difficult, but taking extra time for camera placement in that weather is dedication. Thanks Cole.
When you opened for Ellie….there was a hesitation…I thought maybe she didn’t want to come out in cold….but she did end up coming out. She is cool farm dog…I loved the smell of the silage in the winter…it should would put the steam off when it was cold outside….I’m sure your mom and dad will be glad left the farm in good hands…. Dang delivery people…they better find those chairs!!!! Great video today..have a great day and get in and stay warm….
"SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA BE SMARTER THAN THE TYRE" 😂😂😂😂
9:56 Nice shot through the wire. And hey I want an official like, cause today I tried my first stroopwafel!
nice what did you think
@@SonneFarms It was pretty good, kind of heavy on the caramel but I suppose there are different ways to make them, I can see why you guys like them so much.
Got to remember Cole we are here for you, the family, farming and the funny bits between. We will always love the content despite how much you do or do not talk.
Sounds like delivery man needed some chairs lol 😂
Merry Christmas! Thanks for talking all day! Enjoyed the video. I am loving Cole's words of wisdom, "Sometimes you gotta be smarter than the tire." 10:52
Merry Christmas Cole, Tiff, Brian and off course Ellie
My apologies for forgetting Tammy. Hope I spelled it right. And of course Uncle Jeff.
Super show Cole!! Extremely well done. And every one got fed too. Wheel loader is a bit of a pain but all else went well. Thanks for taking us all along. Good show!!
50 below ?
It was 40 above here in Miami last night and I had 4 layets of blankets on my bed.
I moved here from Traverse City Michigan and absolutely DO NOT miss temps like that or multiple feet of lake effect snow.
I gotta salute you Cole.
Farming in Minnesota has to be brutal in the winter.
Bit that steak you send us sure is tasty.
I wish you and your Soone family a very prosperous Happy New Year.
As you get top prices for ypur crops and cattle.
Hey, at least you aren't wrangling cows 12 or more feet up on horse back this time of year.
We're going from -35° windchill and snow/ice to today a high of 60°. Unfortunately furnace went out but thankful for two ejection heaters. My boys were stranded in Denver for three days. Bring on Spring!!!
Excellent video
Really enjoyed the feeding content. Thanks for letting us tag along.
Hope you had a great Christmas. We love to share our cold northern weather from Canada with those who we love that live in the south. God taught us to love and share. ;)
Merry Christmas to thew Sonne Family! I hope Brian & Tammy's vacation was wonderful and Cole & Tiffany's first Christmas as a family is memorable. 🎅🎅❄❄🎄🎄
Those block heaters are nice! I have one on my tractor and it sets outside all the time and doesn't ever fail to start, unless the heater goes bad. Back in the 70's my we had some 820 John Deere tractors that we used an oil dipstick heater on, those worked fairly good too. You need all the help you can get in those cold conditions, I hope you stay safe and hope you all had a great Christmas. Thanks for sharing, have a nice week, stay warm.
Hey COLE, don't mind listening to you talk, really like watching all your videos and listening to you as you and Brian work through your days on each episode, explaining what all your doing, my kinda guys to hang out with, keep up the AWESOME WORK and CYA SOON next time, Be Safe in THAT Bitter Cold 🥶🥶🥶🚜🚜🚜😎
Hey Cole, merry Christmas! Just wanted to say thanks to you and your dad for a year of great entertaining content. Super appreciate the time you guys take to pick up the camera. Looking forward to another year of great content. Have a great new years.
Anytime I watch one of Coles videos thru a second time I always pick up on extra things! Alot of it is really hard to pick up on, like saying Dad and Mom are flying back tomorrow while jet plane contrails are visible in the video! He's not just a hard working young man, he has mastered videography somehow. I accused him of taking videography during collage and he denied it. I think he is just a natural, with all he knows about the disease side of things that he did learn in collage I would have to say that he is one heck of a smart hard working young man. Tiff, you chose right with him!
yes he is amazing
It think that you deserve a ⭐️ for the way you have handled the cattle while they were away.
Merry Christmas to All. God Bless.
Thank your family for the wonderful videos. Keep them coming.
Gotta watch those chair nappers, they're shifty people ! LOL !
Something about that morning light made Ellie look like a fox!
Canadians call the weather you are having a heat wave😂😂😂. I am on Manitoulin Island Ontario Canada🎄
Keep warm!
I can see why your cattle are in such beautiful condition. You are running a cow restaurant .😂❤
Thanks Cole for taking us to do chores!
Oh crap! Not just 2 chairs! Bummer dude!
Stay warm.
Storla Station
You’re a hard working young man Cole. Your family should be proud. Keep it up!
To all of you who haven't, please subscribe. This family works hard at ranching/farming and works hard at these videos.
Agreed.
Great job taking care of everything in the lower temperatures. Been there don't like that. Y'all are brave. Still praying for relevant moisture. God Bless Y'all 🙏.
Hey Cole you made my day by seeing that Packer banner with me being from Wisconsin.Go pack!!!!
Now Cole, I wasn't thinking you were lazy. Instead the thoughts were man beef farmers have it easier than dairy farmers in the upper Midwest this time of the year. Stay safe and warm. May you have a successful new year
dairy farming is very demanding
I think mom n dad are on the plane flying over you at the end. The other four chairs are still on the truck. 😂 It's gonna be arctic here. Idk how cold the cattle can withstand but hope they're all okay. Hope that beautiful Bull gets all better. Great Video!! Loved it!!
I appreciate the video, Cole. Nothing about it to hate. Your running commentary on what you're up to is what makes these videos great. That's a lot to do for one guy.
Here I thought every day was a sunny day on Sonne Farms! 🌞
Being in Georgia, and you say 10 below...you guys have to be part nuts...but we thank you for all you do for this country.
That payloader is probably set up in a 24v system. Probably have to unhook the batteries and charge them separately
You said you felt like you hadn't got anything done, but I see you keeping several tons of rib eyes fed and comfy.....Thank you!
🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄
Stay warm Cole
That humming noise is the song of the day, we had a -24 with a 30 mph wind making -45 wind chill ,lasted for 4 days got to 20 today
Well Done Farmer, you got this.
From SW Missouri, and on a small farm. We had 3 days with highs in the single digits and nights below or right at zero. We aren't really prepared for that type of cold over a long period. Just glad it was only 3 days. It has to be tough in S Dakota. Everything takes 3 times as long in the cold. Hope you had a great Christmas.
North Dakota is even colder. We have 4 months of below zero at night. It is horrid. I work at night, so I count the days till St Patrick's day.
I miss the song for today.
Thanks for talking all day.
Great video Cole
Keep the Ranch in the Family. Keep the Family in the Ranch.. Farm-Ranch, Camp-Cabin
Man I'm ain't you proud you got them cabs on them tractors good for you God bless makes me think of poor old grandpa you know what I mean God bless
Merry Christmas to the Sonne Farms Family. Maybe we’ll get lucky and see you guys on a live stream in the next 7/8 Days.
Saying hi from the united Arab emirates in the middle east. Love this station.
Happy new year....you beautiful people, and a safe year. 🙏 🤗 🥳
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
I hate the cold I can only imagine how u feel working in that bummer all the chairs didn't come in
Congratulations on a new year, Cole, and best of everything.
Thanks for another great video.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Oh oh. Missing some chairs for your table. Hope the delivery driver has them. Always something.
Winter time is hard on you and your herd and equipment. My compliments for the care you give your herd like that bull.
You folks take care of your herd.
Thanks.
Hang in there with the winter weather.
You take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for everything.
The Iowa Farm Boy.
Good job Cole! I wish you could've given us a substitute Song Of The Day, while Pops was away! I'm Jones'n
This is why I wish farmers/ranchers gave the date. Because weather got really bad up your way.
Hope y’all had a Merry Christmas 🎄
this video is from 4 or 5 days ago
It is cold here but watching this I feel even colder!
Cole, one of my large dairy guys bought a Noco gbx155 boost x and he says it starts all his tractors immediately. Told his wife it was his new best friend. About $400. Better than a battery charger jumper. Give it a try. I will be trying your suggestion on the calf optimizer gel this spring. I appreciate your real data about how it works.
Put you a gallon jug of about a cup of Epson salt an the rest water in those water tanks and they want freeze over. Did that to my chicken water in just a coke bottle and it actually worked I was shocked!!
Merry Christmas 🎄 Sonne families
Stay warm Cole and I hope your tractors take care of you in the cold the way you take care of them .
We made it from Houston to rapid city . Still going to try to make it to Storla Station.
Hello friends good job... Merry Christmas....🎅🎅🎅
Hope yall had a merry Christmas and are warm and safe!
Tank heaters pull so much electricity if pl;uged in all night that I put my tractors on a timer. The heaters come on about two hours before I start feeding.
Appreciate your hard work to keep the beef coming.
Thanks Cole good to see everything’s hopefully going well. PAYLOADER😂still like my old tractor an loader ! Hope mom an dad have safe return home!!
Thank you Sonne farms!!!
50 below coming,If I were Brian and Tami I think I would call Cole and tell him are flight is cancelled,we'll be back sometime in March .lol
Glad you got all those critters fed and watered. Also glad I don't have to do that stuff anymore. Whew. Thanks for the videos. Look forward to them. Happy new year to the Sonne families. Stay warm. Welcome home Brian and Tammy.
@1:42 WOOOOOO FEEDING CATTLE AND CHARGIN' BATTERIES!
@15:45 ....AND HEATING THE BLOCK!
. . . Your chairs flipped off the truck. . . . oops. We hope that you had a Merry Christmas. May you sell your crops at the highest point of the year. Your comments always carry a lot of wisdom and common sense. Happy New Year. 😊
Hope nobody is "sittin' pretty" at you an' Tiff's expense Cole...just make sure when they bring the other 4 chairs...they are in perfect new condition?! You do good work in -🔟 temps. Stay safe and warm! STORLA STATION....
Fantastic video again, Cole. You too, Ellie. Thanks.
Oh, Baby it's cold outside! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thanks for telling us all the ingredients in the cattle food. Interesting. The final weeks of pregnancy for the females and lots of nutrition needed. Stay warm. Happy new year.
Love the feeding content. Blessings and a Merrily Christmas 🎅🏼
GOOD ONE, KEEP WARM...
At the end I heard a chorus of cats cheering you on. Them cats must like sports.😁
5 below in Arkansas - Cannot imagine how much more difficult it is there - I sold cows a few years (I'm old) but I don't miss chopping ice off the ponds. See frost on the back of cows means they are healthy and their hair is insulating them from the cold...your video work is excellent. Enjoyed it much
Merry Christmas and happy New year!!! God bless and best wishes too the sonne family!!! Get ur uncle in more vids miss seeing him and ur dad together
Merry Christmas to you also and please keep warm during this cold all winter!
Its been a cold few days.
Im near Houston & it dropped to 14 degrees.
Froze my pipes & I spent Xmas replacing busted water lines...
Btw...Hot water lines freeze first .
I know why , but its still contrary to a lick of sense...
Stay warm Cole...
Okay.. did anyone else get the thought of a camera on a cow after the angle from the feeder?!? … no just me.. lol okay
You know you put out some interesting videos while you’re talking Fella. Thanks👍👍
Sonne Farms, welcome to my world!!! Deep freeze farmin.
I have always ran the headlights for a minute or so... It starts the chemical action in the battery, making the large current draw of the starter spread more evenly across the plates... 🤓👍
Merry Christmas Cole and Tiffany!
Cole, this is a great video with a lot of information. Like others, I thank you for your dedication taking the extra time it takes you for multiple camera locations. It's got to be a pita, especially in bad weather, yet you do it! 👍
Merry Christmas to the Sonne family! Stay warm stay safe 😊
Merry Christmas! Stay safe in that brutal weather.
Don't worry, in Alberta right now on Boxing Day, it is +6 Celcius, 40 F, This will be coming your way probably tomorrow
I perked up when you mentioned Dwight Ward,He grew up by Mabel Mn. and was our neighbor ,his brother still farms there. I watch almost all of your videos because I love cattle and farming except I am a red guy, but I still enjoy watching.
Just read your comment about living in Mabel, crazy I live by bratsburg.
Great video in some cold weather! Thanks for moving the camera around!
Merry Christmas Col anybody that crops and has livestock work bloody hard so any way to do something easier is good thinking working in snow like that would be hard work ❤️🇦🇺👍keep the videos coming please 😊
Merry Christmas to the Sonne Family
Thanks, Cole, here in Ireland it's wet but not too cold, you can keep the snow. Have a great family New Year.
Song of the day is the Greg Kihn band, the break up song.
Is Tiffany is safe and warm? That’s the only thing that matters to us. 😂
Merry Christmas and happy new year
Lot of interesting information about raising mammals which can be applied to other types.
I’m not a fan of leaving block heaters plugged in overnight. We use light timers to activate the block heaters. You know your equipment best and have the best idea regarding time required to heat the block for easier starting. Our one tractor requires several hours longer than the rest with a new block heater. Another tractor only requires about an hour as that heater is just a work horse. All the best.
When I was a kid back in the 60's the local fire department used to have a chicken coop baby chick lamp pointed to the oil pan on the fire truck, i always thought that ws a neat thing to do
Love the explanation videos, Cole.
