Listening to Tim play that guitar reminds me why I love P90's. Nice work.

Hi guys, great video again. I have that same head and love it. So many great features and such tonal versatility, and all at a super great price. That GT with the p90's is one fine looking and sounding AXE. Rosey Benton sounds nice too, Nick. We have some lefty Rosey's coming in 2016. YiiiHaaa. Nice to see Tim playing with a pick. His usual finger style playing is just maddening, because I can't do it nearly as good as he does Not even close. In fact, I no longer Tim because of that. :) . LOL Happy Ho Ho felllas.

The amp sounds like it would be good for playing metal. I like the switchable to 5W and 1W feature.

I had a Peavey Classic 50 2x12 back in 2000 (was my first ever tube amp!) I liked it but I wanted to get into hard rock so I thought it was shit and sold it for a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier 2x12. Now I'm in my mid thirties I just wish I had stayed playing blues and classic rock and still had that old Classic 50!

I had a Transtube Peavey Bandit to replace my Marshall Artist that I had to sell & it was my main gigging workhorse for years. The Transtube was & is the best(I think) tube overdrive simulation ever! Anyone remember the "Dirty Dog" pedal? Back in the day(80s) everyone had Peavey amps...cuz they were CHEAP! They do make some great metal amps; the 5150 is still one of the best. Classics were great for Blues & the Delta Blues was an awesome amp. Lotsa my friends(shredders) have the full size Valve King. Always thought bang for the buck Peavet rules. Hell, my very 1st amp was a 10 watt Peavey Decade!

I just ordered one of these amps used and in good condition for a little more than half price. IMO the XLR out alone is worth it. If I'm doing solo work, I can simply take the head and run it into the PA to get my tone rather than having to bring the whole rig to a solo gig. For recording, the USB is an added bonus. If I have a session with a band I can plug it into a cabinet I have with a celestion speaker in it, though more than likely I would just take my Fender Champ 25 for that. The days of needing 100-200 watt amps for most gigs is pretty much over since for larger halls miking the amp pretty much solves volume problems for larger rooms.

I bought a Peavey Bandit 112 trans tube 100 watt amp yesterday, the only problem is the pre amp section is not working,I knew that when i bought it,i can plug into the return on the loop function section and use the power amp with a multi effects pedal to adjust my parameters, but i'm just wondering if it would it be worth getting it looked at, and repaired.I only paid 35 dollars for it,other then the preamp section not working the amp is in mint condition, and for 35 bucks i could'nt turn it down, not to mention the speaker alone is worth the 35 i spent.

Sounds great and I've been on the fence which of these peavey mini heads I want. If the 6505 has as nice cleans as this then why wouldn't you go for that since the gain channel will have more? Wish someone would demo them side by side hint hint :)

LOL the class A to A/B subtle.. I played one of these amps last week... that knob was far from subtle.. the class A sounded thin, the AB sounded full - I used a Peavey 2x12 classic cab with 1 x vintage 30 and 1 x greenback i think. Other thoughts.. I played the 6505 mini and classic mini .. Im a 90's metal guy but the 6505 gain channel was just to much harsh gain even at "2" on the drive channel - just way too much gain.. The Valve King MH took a bit of dialing in the EQ but will get very high gain, and clean channel can be set to clean or crunch... the Classic surprised me with its killer cleans, the drive on the Classic will do some rocking hard rock, dare I say brown sound.. Tone on the classic was to my ears the best, but I like a little more drive, def need a drive/boost pedal for a slight push if you wanna do metal on the classic..

What bothers me to the bone is when someone takes a decent sounding amp and makes it sound like crap. There are a few people who UA-cam reviews who just shouldn't.Walllllahhh. I hate being negative.Ive heard this amp actually sound good.

Yuck! How is it possible to make such an empty sound? Thank you for the video, I do not want to buy anymore.

you want blues need to cut down that reverb and 5 watts should work but you guy can't live without reverb too much try less good players don't need to color their sound with delay or reverb again too much reverb
