    What a beautifully amenable and centered man. I bet he has an inspiring life story. I wonder how his children feel about him living in his nomadic way. You both did such a professional job with the videos and I got so much out of them. I'd like to park in adjoining spaces with either of you one day

    Thanks so much for these videos with Mike, James. Mike was the first van dweller I glommed onto. He even let me call him with all my questions. I hope he's still around when I finally get my rig. Both he and you are so smart and helpful. I am humbly grateful for all the fascinating info.

    I'm so impressed with the amount of research it takes and then the implementation of said research. I want to do this, but just feel so inadequate. Hats off to every man and woman who takes a ride on the freedom train in this way! I want to join you someday.

      @enigmaticnomadics  8 років тому

      cindy Lou, you'd be amazed with how little work it takes to get a van physically ready to live in. But it's very important that you do the research and be ready for all the little problems that can come up. I strongly encourage you to join my forum, there are hundreds of people there who would love to help you figure it all out at your own pace. Join here: www.cheaprvliving.com/forums

    I just watched all three videos plus the intro one and learned a ton! I would love to live in a van or rv! maybe in the future I can work it out. I have 3 cats and see that van dwellers have dogs. Might need a Class C! LOL Thanks for all the great info.

      Phyllis, we're so glad to help! Cats do better in RVs than vans. I do know people that make it work well for them, so you can too.

    Great job on these 3 videos. Water ~ just for viewers to know, not all water at gas stations is potable and I wouldn't recommend washing dishes in culverts. Funny how many bad things I've seen, could write a book. Hey Mike, have you thought of getting a small dog?

    EXCELLENT SERIES. Great Information. Mike's definitely got it together. I'm working on my van only a little at a time, as I live in Hell (south Florida) But I bought my complete solar set up incl. 2 RV house batts. & power inverter. Have the same fridge as Mike. It is terrific. And many other things to be ready for the Fall / Winter trip out West. I have learned so much from Bob Wells. And now so much from you folks. And I thank you for that. Will you folks be going to RTR ? That is my destination. Cheers and safe travels. P.S. Where were you guys at in the vids. ?

    • @enigmaticnomadics
      @enigmaticnomadics  9 років тому +2

      +Van Stiller Thanks Van! Yes, we plan to be at the next RTR and perhaps we could have you talk about your van set up process for others to learn from! Bob is a great friend and was the first to introduce me to viable ways to live this lifestyle. Our location is deep in a top secret bunker in the deepest part of area 51 with a green screen projecting Ponderosa Pines as a backdrop. haha!

Starting from when I made the van purchase to the outfitting of equipment. I believe channels like yours show how wonderful and rewarding this life can be. Thanx teachers.

    Mike gives the best advice. Save! Save! Save! $ 600 /month to live which includes car insurance. That's $7200 / year= way below poverty level. No property taxes, lawn care, stuck in one area. Who would have thunk that this is freedom? ME!

    i was thinking u could run power tools/ micro waves off the inverter huh must be alot more work and money to do that

    • @enigmaticnomadics
      @enigmaticnomadics  8 років тому

      Bearwood Brown, a microwave needs a 2000 watt pure sine inverter and you can get a good one for under $400. This is the one I have and really like it, it runs my microwave nearly daily with no problems:

    How about using a crock pot?

    • @enigmaticnomadics
      @enigmaticnomadics  8 років тому +1

      It's the length of the run that makes it very hard. During the day with enough solar you would be okay.

      Anybody But Hillary 2016, it's a 12 volt fridge with a cigarrette lighter plug, you just plug it in.
