What’s wrong with that? Reddick was basically the top player in the NCAA when he got drafted, but his production in the NBA was somewhat limited. He was a very good role player, not much more.

Even in terms of talent, Dalton is a couple of inches taller and considerably more athletic. So while the kid isn't quite as prodigious a shooter as JJ, he still does have the physical gifts and the draft luck to make his coach a bit jealous

The overwhelming majority of them don’t pan out, if they do then it’s an added bonus but no NBA team is getting set back by 2nd rnd picks.
