I hate to be that person, but I only listen to BTS... Not completely, cause I will listen to older music that I enjoy, I grew up in the 80's and 90's. However when it comes to music in last 10-20 years not much has drawn my attention, since 2018 I've listened to BTS everyday. Between group songs and solo songs they have a lot of variety in the playlist.
Y’all need to see their 2019 MMA (award show) performance. It’s a bit longer but please don’t split it up, we’ll watch it all. It’s an iconic performance.
Bp music is just fun. No deep meaning at all. Among kpop fans, they are known as IG models who do part time as singers 😅. No joke. Its real. Their fashion, modelling outputs are no joke. Even their latest song pink venom talking about that lol. Their company also managed to curate their whole luxurious, exclusive models persona for them which work for current generation that love influencers. Which is why their whole concept always visual first, music second. And not surprising to see they always stick same kind of sound. No joke, you can check out their music n music videos since 2016 till 2022, its really most of it in same concept, sound. Their company always play safe. But cant really blame them as its work everytime. They are very different with BTS. BTS love making music that have meaning, relate to people since day 1. They singing various kind of genres. Their pop stuffs most popular but bts always do various genres. Making their music available for everyone. BTS also freaking workaholics. So, despite them saying they taking hiatus from tour, group album for a moment, they still churning out music individually n as sub unit while also diving into their other passions like art, fashion, dancing, etc. Their goal from this hiatus is that everyone gonna bring back what they learn from doing solo stuffs and apply it later for their next group cb. RM himself said he need time to get inspired to write lyrics for the group again. He is the main lyricist for the group.
A lot of ARMYs listen to only BTS out of kpop, so I would not call them kpop fans. BTS really stand out and thats a fact. Recently RM (leader and one of rappers) collaborated with one Korean art collective, who are really not as popular and more of "underground" if you will. And it shows it all, he went for it and give it 100% since what he cares about is music and not numbers or popularity. If you want to check out this song it called Sexy Nukim by Balming tiger ft.RM. The song is fiiiiire! it is so great. He has 3rd verse between 3 rappers
Exact. The boys of BTS care more about the quality they offer than the popularity they may have. Their passion is music and what they do, so they enjoy creating and performing; while they even give us true works of art.
BTS live is what we're mad for, they're the ultimate performers and every one of them is a perfectionist. Their performance be it as a group or as an individual speaks volumes for how hard they work. That's one of of a million reasons why we love them and protect them. Love your reactions and I'll be waiting for more to come :):)
Fact about this performance is that They only get 1day rehearsal for this performance as a whole group because 2 members were covid positive and 1 member had a surgery in his finger (the one who was sitting in control room type set)
1 day in Las Vegas... they did have rehearsals before. The jacket thing has to be done pricesly... since it worked ca. 1 of 3 times they were debating of taking it out but than decided to try. It worked!
I am not sure if you're being sarcastic, but BTS is a Class Act all the way. No, I don't listen to nor watch Black Pink and please don't put them on the same level as BTS. You should know for this Grammy performance, that Jin sitting at the control center couldn't dance because he had hand surgery, and 2 of them including the guy (Jung Kook) that came down from the ceiling in the start and J-Hope (their dance leader) recovered from Covid and got to rehearse with the group only 1 day before the show. The other 4 had to rehearse together without them and they rehearsed in their home and/or hotel room by themselves as much as they could given that they were sick. Pretty dang incredible if you ask me. The whole thing was an art heist set up - the paintings on the walls in back are replaced with graffit in yellow and purple and then replaced with pictures of the group members from prior albums. V is the guy that was sitting with Olivia Rodriguez. I don't consider BTS as K-Pop even though that is how they got their start - as a hip-hop K-pop group. They are different in that they are involved in writing, composing and producing many of their songs (excluding their 3 all-English songs, Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance). Most of their songs are either in Korean with some English, or in Japanese. So, if you react to their MV's, please be sure to put on CC, which is available on most of their official MVs. Even with the CC on, some of the videos have explanation videos because non-Koreans may not understand all the references and word play (myself included). As for other artists, I was into Pentatonix for awhile (A Capella), but now only follow Avi Kaplan (their former bass singer) who went solo and is more Americana/Folk Rock. Totally different genre but also incredibly talented. I'm in my 60's, so I grew up on Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Fleetwood Mac, etc. Still listen to those once in awhile, but for the last 2 years, I've mostly listened to BTS and Avi.
I was Pentatonics fan but watched pretty much only Avi when he left the group. I have tried to listen to other bands and some of them do have really good songs. BTS, it’s been them since my daughter introduced me to them. They truly care about their fans. Not that other bands do t care about their fans, but BTS just so different all together. I know there will be others that might pave their way to things but there will be nobody like BTS. Love them so much.
Was a big fan of blackpink when they first debuted. Got into BTS 2015 and 2016 Blackpink caught my eye, new, unique girl group. Instead of the cutesy they screamed powerful but after their debuted they became very inactive in the industry, released like 10 songs are model ambassadors that's it. Yes this could be the company's fault but who is stopping them from communicating with fans? They barley go live or post so i stopped. BTS is different even now when they're on their break they still communicate with fans they makesure their fans are ok, go on live and still do Run BTS. There is a huge difference with the way BTS love their fans compared to other groups. They started from the bottom, small company so they understand how much fans mean to them where as blackpink is from one of the big three companys in south korea so their fame was expected. They don't know how hard it is to earn fans. Don't listen to them now. The other reason why i am not a fan is because of the hatred their fanbase "blinks" have for BTS. It is unreal but yh i listen to mainly listen BTS and Straykids.
Honestly, I only listen to bts songs. BP is good visually but not for music. Bts has all kinds of music genres and mostly written directly by them . Their songs mostly fit the stories of their lives and relate equally the lives of most people. When we hear it like we get carried away with the flow of the story because of their song embellishment that animates
Well i like some of their songs when they debut i used to follow their journey but as time goes i got bored even when i watched them perform live except for lisa coz she always gave her 100% performance everytime, maybe i'm looking for the same energy during their boombayah era i like their song stay but other than that thats not the type of song i listen to everyday. Love the girls i think they are talented but their music nver connect to me anymore. I'm more on lyrics of the song more.
At first I liked BP's music for the taste of power it left, but since Kill this Love I feel like everything is the same, while BTS has something ideal when I need it! I feel like I'm always listening to something new and fresh, I'll go from GoGo to Dionysus and be on top
Same here only BTS never watch any kpop band other than bts... all of their weverse live , run bts, in thesoop all bts show only and bts reactors where i subscribe💜
I don't really care for blackpink. They do their thing. Released like 10 songs as a group during 6 years career but thats cool with me. They r not really creating their music or writing songs, but thats cool too. Just BTS music resonates with me more and they r really into music and always creating smth, developing as musicians, providing for their fans, writing song, producing. Thats something I respect and enjoy about them. They also always have deeper meaning and messages behind their songs, strong writing. When Blackpink don't focuse on that much, it more bad B songs and thats just not smth I would listen to more that 1-2 times. No shade on Blackpink or their fans. Not my cup of tea. ARMY is also known to be huge music lovers. we love a lot of different music. For me I used to be rock fan and now I enjoy it too as much as a lot of American pop music, Ukrainian music of various genres and few other Korean artists
@@kookiemuncher257 same thing! Actually when I finally decided to check out kpop I went for Blackpink first. I saw they made a song with Lady gaga. And they didnt really impress me. Than I went for BTS bcs that the only other group name I knew and I knew it was it from the first song 🤷🏼♀️like falling in love 😂👌
I did try listening to other groups but I don't feel anything about their music, no connection...there's something about bts music that I couldn't explained why I am so attached to it and to them personally...little did I know I am already an ARMY💜
Just BTS. Ever since I entered this fandom and rabbithole, it's hard for me to connect with other songs. I am still liking other songs too but not to the point i feel connected or whatever. For me it's not just the music or performancr. It's the whole experience: the story, personality, music, lyrics, dance, goals, fandom, etc. Taylor's intro is the best 💯
exactly the reasons why i got hooked every day by bts only. The connection is difficult to explain, i was never fan of anyone to the point that i listen to their music every single day!
That was Olivia Rodrigo (a huge music artist right now) V was talking to at the beginning. That was Jungkook the came down from ceiling at the beginning, he's a big daredevil and has flown across the crowd during BTS concerts. The amount of people who know Dynamite or Butter but didn't realize it is BTS is mind boggling to me. Butter was number 1 on the billboard hot 100 chart for 10 weeks. Just letting you know this performance came after a lot of hurdles. Jin injured his finger/had surgery so he wasn't able to dance for the majority of a performance and 2 other members (J-Hope and Jungkook) got covid right before this performance so they only 1 day to rehearse this whole performance with all 7 members because both J-Hope and Jungkook had to quarantine. J-Hope quarantined in South Korea before he flew to Vegas (where the Grammys were held) and Jungkook had to quarantine shortly after he arrived in Vegas. By this point all the other members had already had covid. They also had 4 sold out shows in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium during this time too. I said this in your other video but you're better off doing the introduction to BTS in 1 video not 3 separate parts, but of course it's your choice. We actually love long videos. They actually didn't throw/catch the cards, they each had one in their hand and created an illusion that they caught it something BTS has done before with their hat trick from their dance We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2. Do I like Blackpink, I like their music but I enjoy BTS a lot more because they have more versatility and more meaning to their songs as opposed to Blackpink. Blackpink has a formula that works really well for them so they rarely change up their style of music which works well for them. There are a lot of ARMY (BTS fans) and Blnks (Blackpink fans) that don't get along so I would be careful mentioning the other group in their respective videos. But I do know a lot of people who enjoy both groups. This was BTS 3rd time performing at the Grammys. The first time was in 2020 when they performed Old Town Road with Lil Nas X, in 2021 when they performed Dynamite remotely from South Korea because of covid, and then this performance.
You should definitely react to the guide by Taylor, and there is no need to cut it into two parts, armys will watch even for hours. (I have personally watched a 5 hour reaction)
- Taylor's intro is an absolute yes! - V was "flirting" with Olivia Rodrigo - Jungkook came down from the ceiling (total adrenalin junkie so he's probably having the time of his life up there 😅) - Jin had injured his hand and couldn’t do the dance break moves. That's why he was placed in a "control room". He joined them after the dance break though. He also had to sit on a chair during their Las Vegas concerts following the Grammys or risk having a second surgery. He almost complied. 😏 - Their MMA 2019 award show performance is EPIC! It's also 38 minutes though. Attack On Bangtan live is amazing and also their adaptation of J. Cole's Born Sinner called Born Singer and Fire and Magic Shop and..... - Other international recommendations: Enhypen's Drunk-Dazed (S. Korea) TXT's 0X1=Lovesong (S. Korea) Balming Tiger feat. RM's Sexy Nukim (S. Korea) (just dropped yesterday and 🤯) SHINee's Atlantis (S. Korea) Lukas Graham and Hanin Dhiya's Happy For You (Denmark/Indonesia) Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody (England) (a classic that totally changed the music industry, the first song with an actual mv) Zara Larsson's Aint My Fault (Sweden) (She also has an amazing collaboration with V and J-Hope from BTS called A Brand New Day) Copter's He Drinks You Drunk (Thailand) 💜
As an Army I listen to mostly BTS lol mainly because of their massive discography which covers genres for any mood. But I like almost all music as a child of the 90s. If you are looking for something Korean check out these 3 artists. Epik High - Rosario, No Thanxxx Jessi - Star, Nunu Nana Tiger Jk - Love Peace, Bang Diggy Bang Bang
1.if you want a loyal following from the ARMYs never ever compare them to other kpop groups, especially not BP, who dont even write their own music 2.dont split longer videos incl. Taylor's guide 3.i dont listen to BTS for only happy vibes, I cried for more than a couple of their songs 4. I listen to a lot of other artists, mainly european metal, symphonic metal like Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Sabaton 5. BTS rapline taught me to appreciate hip hop and rap, specifically the cadence and flow in Daechwitta (agustD/SUGA's solo) was a revelation for me 6. Be honest, if you dont like smth. We dont mind if you dont click with every song, as long as you're respectfull. 7. Dont bargain with the armys like if this video will get enough views we will do the next one, that is not cool. You will get 10 times more views when you show genuine appreciation and interest in their work because you want to watch it yourselves and not because it will get views. There are new bts reactors who understand this and they can get half a mill views because of it.
Thanks for the reaction! Since the first time I have listened to BTS in my 40s, they are the only artist I listen to everyday now. BTS completely changed my music life. I also love jazz, especially piano trio such as Bill Evans and Hiromi Uehara. I also like Butch Walker, Richie Kotzen, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Utada Hikaru, Holly Cole etc.
Only a BTS fan. Blackpink are too repetitive for me and I’m not a fan of their production. You may think a fan of one Korean group must like any other group that’s Korean, but that’s like saying if you like one American pop artist, you must listen to and like all of them. No, lmao. I know you guys don’t know this, so it’s a-okay to be curious. But BTS is objectively on a different level.
The only common point BTS and blackpink has is that they are Korean groups, that's pretty much it. So I'd say fans who are fans of both exist but in general BTS fans and Blackpink fans don't get along, which is partly due to their entertainment companies (back in 2018 where BP started getting attention in the west after BTS, BP's agency, YG started creating articles comparing them to BTS for whatever reason which sparked fanwars between the fandoms. YG even sent a journalist to bts's press conference interviews in 2019, asking them weird questions trying to set them up which made the members look very uncomfortable.
While they were announcing bts will perform jungkook was already chilling up there on the celling standing on the thin hook waiting for them to finish 😂😂😂 he loves dangerous things btw he enjoy it The names and ages Basically they are 25-30 Jin (1992) Suga (1993) Rm (1994) Jhope (1994) Jimin (1995) V (1995) Jungkook (1997 ) Bts are not your typical kpop group they are artist they make their own music and even their b-side tracks are all amazing
Please NEVER EVER mention other group or comparing BTS with Blackpink in BTS video. That's #1 rule for reactors. Lots of us have mentioned that in your Mic Drop vid, but seems u guys not reading or take note of that. 👎Frankly i only listen to BTS among the KPOP groups. Their songs covers many genres, hip hop/ rap, ballad, pop even latin vibe, very diverse. Their lyrics are meaningful n touch our hearts when we need it. N they make most of their songs. As fo Blackpink, not to be rude but the songs sound the same n the lyrics give u nothing. Plus, they dont write their own music.
I only subscribe and like vloggers who knows BTS first their name and history.i checked their contents too ..i choose vloggers who are only sincere yo know more about BTS, how they're into rabbit hole...
@@imalittleshy6978 Comparison will happen regardless. I'm not a fan of people policing what and how other people think. Let them form their own opinions, and you can share yours, too. And let normies compare all they want bc honestly, do you really have anything to be afraid of? I'm not afraid of BTS being compared to Blackpink. I like artists that can string full sentences and thoughts together. 🤷♀️
BTS is one of the few “new” artists I listen to and I guess I can’t really say new anymore cause they’ve been around for basically a decade🤣 but I love 70s-early 2000s music too, I tend to listen to more old stuff cause it just sounds better than a lot of the new stuff in my opinion, which is probably weird for somebody who’s part of gen z but hey🥴🤷🏾♀️
If you know what happened before this Grammy performance, the more you'll be amazed. 1 injured, 2 had covid, so they didn't really have time to rehearse as a whole group for a long time.
Nice reaction! Yes, Taylor's intro is great, but plz don't break it up. Like others said, we have no prob watching longer vids. I also would love to see your reaction to BTS 2019 MMA. As for Blackpink, some of their songs are ok. For your international channel I think you might like One Ok Rock . .. They're a Japanese Rock Band ("Renegades" is a good one).
who do i listen to aside from bts? in my teens and 20s but still on rotation depending on my mood: weezer, blur, smashing pumpkins, ratm, nine inch nails, coheed, muse, radiohead, head automatica, lcd soundsys. more recent discoveries (hubby's influence): polyphia, jacob collier, snarky puppy, cory wong. i was never a rap or hip-hop fan before bts (obviously), so i guess you could say that the only rap or hip-hop i listen to is from the bts rapline. i learned to appreciate rap because of them. their flows are incredibly satisfying to listen to. you should check out the live performances of outro: tear, ugh, born singer, and the cypher medley live. as for the rappers' solo stuff, start with the official music videos of Daechwita, Joke, and Arson. you'll be pleasantly surprised, i promise ☺ edit: i'm not a big pop fan either and the only other "boyband" artist on my playlist is justin timberlake. so i guess you could also say that bts is pretty much the only other pop group i listen to. but they've covered so many genres across their 300+ song discography, it's a bit disingenuous to call them just a pop group or boyband.
Never stopped listening to them since Dynamite 2020. I must start the day listening them. Intermittently I have also come to fall in love with other Kpop groups and solo artists who sing the most beautiful sound tracks to the K-dramas I also started watching because of BTS. 💜🇳🇦OT7
You might find some people who listen to both but generally there isn’t a huge overlap between the fans. Personally I find BP’s music monotonous and a bit shallow. It’s catchy but that’s about it. BTS meanwhile do all kinds of music, have a diverse repertoire and are very involved in their own music.
Thanks for the reactions! I’m mostly listened to BTS , I’m an army 44 yo and been supporting these boys since 2019. They have so many genres, I just don’t feel the need to listen to a lot of other artists to be honest with you. They have some solo songs etc so… there’s that! I just subscribed to you! Looking forward to watch your reaction on the 7 members by taylor but I would suggest you to watch the entire thing at once 😁 it’s fun that way and us army will watch long videos, no problem 💜 enjoy your journey
Bts is 3 rappers and 4 vocalist the write and produced there songs, there lyrics is about menthal health, sociak injusticem haters, cyber bulling, self love. The have 6 nr 1 songs at Billboard 100 and 6 nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200. Last year the had 4 sold out Stadium concert at L.A and this year the had 4 sold out Stadium concert in Las Vegas
Great reaction guys. Like others have said the guy coming down from the ceiling is Jung kook he is the youngest who just turned 25 on the 1st of Sept. Also about the info video Taylor's is amazing and I recommend it to all new army but don't limit yourself to just that video . Its a good one to learn their names but I recommend watching others that go into their personalities and more history of where they came from and how they became the biggest group out there. Try watching funny videos and the docu series rise of bangtan when you are ready . There is so much info on BTS it can get overwhelming. Anyway just my opinion and I loved your reaction.
I know you probably know the guys by now, but just to contribute: At the computers - JIN Coming down on thr hook - JUNGKOOK Talking to Olivia Rodrigo and tossing his card - V Guy to "look in the mirror" - JIMIN Lead dancer of the jacket guitar sequence - J-HOPE Rapper with the swag and jacket over the shoulder - SUGA Leader and rapper in the coat with the men in black - RM This performance is iconic. Jhope came late to.the rehearsals because he had to quarantine first due to covid, Jin just came from hand surgery that's why he wasn't in the first part of the dance. The stage was new, not.like.their usual, and they had very little time to rehearse. This is respect to their skill and talent and their determination to give the best of themselves whatever circumstance they find themselves in. Borahae
no need to cut the introduction, you can do the whole thing. ARMY love it that way We also listen to other music BTS members would recommend songs that they listen to and we check it out as well.
MMA 2019 amd 2018 IS A MUST !!! Prepare to jawdrop on this performance, no one i mean no one compare to this performance, not a butter grammy😊! Its a top notch
Hi army from Portugal here. Its always nice to see new people reacting to bts. You two have no ideia at all what and who they are.....the guide from army Taylor is a MUST and please dont split it up....it will ruin the experience. So much to tell you but i am sure others army have already pull your ears😅. Please keep yourselfs genuine honest and RESPECTFUL. By the way that was Olivia Rodrigo with V and they are very profissional. They dont do stuff like going after girls and they are working.
You asked us who else we like and I just want to let you know no one is going to live up to BTS. And I really hope you consider not branching out until you get to know these guys a little more. There's this thing westerners do (which is understandable but a little misguided) that's like "I heard bts, now let me try more kpop" but the problem with that is, BTS aren't really kpop. It's hard to explain without giving you the history and politics of the industry but on a surface level at least--kpop is pageantry that uses music as a medium. BTS create their music--the music is the point of what they do. Their process, their product, their purpose is not typical of what you know as kpop. So with most kpop you'll get EDM, dance beats with not at much of a focus on concept or lyricism. There are some exceptions...but really, for most of the idol world, the point is the presentation. The fashion, the visuals, the production (like set production and fanfare) and the intricate choreography. The music is very much NOT the point. Second, the vast majority of ARMY is only ARMY (with regard to Korean music--most of us listen to BTS along with our favorites from whatever place we call home...personally I enjoy Jessie J, Michael Buble, I'm a huge fan of the Script too). With k-pop, we may listen to a song or two from this group or that but the percentage of our fandom that has another group they stan is relatively low compared to the rest of the k-world. We're here for BTS and BTS alone. And all of the best BTS reactors on the channel are the ones that really become ARMY and stick with them. They have 10 years of content, something like 21 albums (not counting the 6 solo albums from the rap line), 4 television series (with multiples seasons of each)...and that's just scratching the surface. So don't feel like you have to dive into a million people at once. And if you DO, a word to the wise, we hate comparisons to those groups more than comparisons to western boy bands...😬😅 Not to be that person but Blackpink are CRIMINALLY overrated. 7 years as a group and they have like 30 songs to their name 20 of which sound exactly the same. They rarely put out new music and the music they do put out is just handed to them and contains the most empty tiktok bullsht lyrics you can imagine. There are rookie kpop groups with better dancers and singers, better performers for sure. And all of their hype comes down to bought-and-paid for streams, followers, articles, awards, etc. A handful of arena concerts that are "sold-out" but half-empty from the fancams, lip-syncing, movie magic with the lighting and camera angles, and don't listen to the "records" their fans regurgitate--they have zero qualms about flat out making them up...they don't particularly seem to like what they do or who they do it with and it just shows. And the gap success-wise between them and BTS is stratospheric. It's like comparing Ariana Grande and Dove Cameron. Who's Dove Cameron? Exactly. BTS have 12 Billboard Music Awards, 2 Grammy Nominations, won Artist of the Year at the AMAs and in Korea, they've won Best Artist, Best Song, Best Album, and Worldwide Icon (the 4 Grand Prizes) at the two biggest awards shows the last two years. No one in Korea is on their level. They also topped the IFPI two years in a row as the best selling artists of the year beating Taylor Swift, Drake, Ed Sheeran, etc...no one is in their league. Least of all BP. Plus they're the fandom that is just the worst to the boys so I wouldn't even say their name in a BTS reaction if you want to avoid drama.
Hi guys. Army are not big fans of BP or their fans called Blinks. We don't get along very well because BP hasn't gone through the struggle BTS has and they get credit for accomplishments they have achieved, which is fine they deserve it, but what they have done honestly doesn't compare to what BTS has accomplished. But a lot of their fans can be very rude and they start a lot of crap with the ARMY. As ARMY we try to stay positive and we don't talk badly of any other groups but of course there are always toxic or more vocal and protective fans of the boys who do speak negatively. Army tends to support other groups from BigHit and Hybe since that is the company behind BTS. All I personally listen to and watch is BTS. I have seen a couple of the other groups but they all sound the same to me, lol. Anyway, just wanted to fill you in on the whole "other groups" thing. ARMY is very loyal to BTS and do not tend to spend much time on other groups. You guys are great, keep going on your journey 💜💜💜
BTS is my main group. I like some songs from others too but not to the point that i love BTS. But i dont care about Black Pink. Songs they do sound same to me and i dont like their theme. Lisa is cool tho. And if someone want to say "listen to b-sides" or something - why would i bother if main songs dont hook me? I dont hate them. I just dont care.
I can NOT wait for you guys to check out the Cyphers. You are going to flip. The amount of talent and practice to be able to sing live and dance like they do is insane. And then you will find out about the depth of their lyrics. Rapping, dancing poets. 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Well as a Mom BTS has all genre of songs that resonates to all my days and moods. I listen to songs bts recommends and listens. all in all only bts and theyre collabs.
Jungkook, AKA JK, AKA Kookie, is the one who came down on the hook. He also did this during his live performance of Euphoria at Wimble Stadium. It's a must-watch.
BTS is amazing live, but the card was a magic trip. I do not follow Black Pink. I basically don’t follow girl groups or female artists. I followed CNBLUE & TVXQ, but when I started watching BTS in 2016, that was it for me, so you are right about some of us. I am 69 years old. I watched The Beatles debut on the Ed Sullivan Show. I grew up on all kinds of genres. Jethro Tull, Alabama, Kenny G, Garth Brooks, Winton Marsalis, Michael Jackson, Lynard Skynard, John Denver, The Doors, the Stones...just to throw out a few. BTS is it. Their work ethic, their compassion, their dedication to ARMY. They are inspiring. They are my spotify playlist. I encourage you to watch Taylor's documentary, but there are also others that give a different perspective. XCELESTE & Asian Theory are both worth your time.
I’ve been a kpop fan since 2010 and although I only Stan BTS and I’m 100% an ARMY, I listen to many other kpop groups not just BP. There’s a lot of talent in kpop! 💜
Hi! Mainly BTS heavy stan here!Of course I like other artists too(respect to all) Army is the name of our fandom (blinks is Blank pinks fandom- love the girls also).Fandom wars are not accepted(it gets ugly and is totally immature, so please try to not initiate one !)One thing that everyone getting in BTS (and other's) "loophole "to know is super easy and super important. "be respectful "! Well BTS has so much content over the years (10+ years ) now that you'll need a lot of time to know, comprehend, appreciate and enjoy! They have a very rich discography as a group but as solos projects also(internationalcollaborations also). There is a storyline also . Also they have their own documentaries and shows (only "Run BTS show" has 156 episodes...so far).So ,ya a hell lot of context..! So welcome to BTS journey!!!Thank you for your reaction! 😃!
This performance is even better when considering their dance leader got quarantined in South Korea for a couple weeks before the performance and only got to join them the day before, and their main vocalist came down with COVID after landing in the states and also couldn’t join until the day before. Believe they said when they were finalizing rehearsals that they were only managing to do the jacket trick about 60% of the time. The one sitting off to the side had a hand injury and couldn’t join the dancing for most of the performance. And they still killed it. And to be honest, they are very limited on what they’ve been able to do with their US award show performances. If you get a chance, please continue to looks at their live performances. There are very few artists that can perform live like BTS, if at all. Not just because of their ability to perform live but also the number of various live performance they have. They even have many for their b side tracks that they don’t have any music videos for. I hope you get a chance to explore them more, because they are soooo worth it. They have amazing work ethic, and they’re also beautiful human beings.
I mostly just listen to BTS (when it comes to kpop) but their are good songs that I like from other groups here and their. However I prefer to listen to BTS. BP are talented but not for me…Many people think if we like BTS or one group, we like them all. That just isn’t true…Plus BTS lyrics are some of the best I have heard/read. It is best to think kpop as a industry. Few other songs I like (that aren’t BTS): -Sexy Nukim by Balming Tiger (ft. RM of BTS) (just came out a few days ago) -Gotta Get Back by P1Harmony (ft. Pink Sweat$) -Doom Du Doom by P1Harmony -Sorry by The Rose -She’s in the Rain by The Rose -Lazy by Woosung (leader of The Rose) -Don’t Miss You by Eric Nam -Wind by Mamamoo -Maria by Mamamoo -Wonderland by AleXa -Dice by ONEW -The Chance of Love by TVXQ -Butterfly by BTOB -Beautiful Pain by BTOB -Work Work by Lee Jin Hyuk -Tippy Toes by XG -Somethibg by TVXQ -Easier by Amber -Dingga by Mamamoo -Got my Number by Monsta X -Who do You Love by Monsta X -Happy Without You by Monsta X -Her by Block B -BOMB by Ravi, San E
I’m an 25 years Army and I watch other K-pop music videos as well. MAMAMOO is the only girl group that I love and IU who is a solo artist and I recommend you to react to her Lilac music video.
Subbed! Thanks for reacting to them! And don't worry about long videos, we will watch hour long videos no problem 💜 looking forward to the guide! Eta: I listen to a lot of music, k pop and otherwise, BTS is just my ult grp because they saved my life and got me through the hard times. (Saw them in concert last December) But I like blackpink, red velvet, (g)idle , seventeen, stray kids, Ateez (seeing them in concert in Nov, had tickets to seventeen too but ended up being unable to go), xdinary heroes, txt, sooo much more. Too many to name. I like some other, non kpop grps as well, but tbh music from the west often seems boring or poorly done in contrast. Especially the mv's! What kind of music do you like? So I can better recommend. 💜
Just discovered your channel today! Great reaction. I will binge watch your videos to catch up! I am 50 year old ARMY from UK. Discovered BTS in Sept 2020 and I have never looked back. I was a a rock and metal lover with an appreciation of many genres but no single artist I loved until BTS. I found that whilst you grow to really love them they also open your mind to appreciate even more artists and music from around the world. I now listen to Dimash, Stray Kids, Black Pink, and now also Eminem, Wale, and so many others I would never have thought I would like. Please watch Taylor's intro to the seven members so you can see just how talented, funny and humble they are. Really looking forward to your journey with BTS and happy to recommend songs of the group or individual projects they do, or behind the scenes videos, dance practices etc as I get to know you as well. Borahae 💜
Back in 2015 when I was in elementary I used to listen to Kpop and blackpink. I started listening to bts in late 2017 and have only really listened to them since. They’re incomparable to other groups. I don’t have any video recs of kpop groups because I mostly listen to metal lol😂
I am a BTS MUSIC ONLY person. I listen all day. Reason being they write and produce their songs; other k-pop artists not so much. Songs: the truth untold, your eyes tell, jamais-vu, magic shop. BANGTANTV and HYBE channels have all the music you need; check it out. Good luck with your BTS journey.
please react to [2019 MAMA] BTS_INTRO + N.O + We are bulletproof pt.2 youll love it bts go all out for korean award shows grammys and any american award shows are small snippets of what bts is capable of due to the small stages in the states.
I tried to like Blackpink and they have some catchy songs, but I couldn’t get into them. If you’re looking for other international artists, I really like Dimash Qudaibergen from Kazakhstan. Check out his most recent version of SOS and Stranger to start - he makes music in a wide range of genres though. Also Sohyang (South Korea) singing Arirang. NewJeans (South Korean girl group). Hua Chenyu (China) cover of Nunchucks by Jay Chou. The Hu Band (Mongolia). KZ Tandingan’s (Philippines) cover of Rolling in the Deep. From BTS I recommend their 2018 MMA performance of Idol, 2019 MMA performance (long but worth it!), and BTS Room Live. BTS fans have a pretty wide range of music tastes outside of BTS. And it would be a mistake to lump all “k-pop” music together. That’s like assuming that because someone is a fan of The Weeknd they’re automatically a fan of all other Canadian popular musicians - from Drake to Justin Bieber to Celine Dion etc.
this is an accurate comment because KPop is not just pop music. All of Korean music seems to get lumped under KPop in the west. So your comment makes more sense than some of the other comparisons. 💜
I am an ARMY since 2017, for the first year i only listed to BTS but k pop is a large scene on the music industry, true i am not a fan fan of BP but i do listen to some of theyr songs. K pop is big ,with loads of other gitl groups and boy groups. BTS are my boys, my life saviours and everything they do not compare to others, but others are good to. Stray Kids, Shinee, EXO, NCT all units, Mamamoo, Jessi the list can go on and on.
I only listen to BTS. I tried listening to other kpop groups, nothing wrong with most of them, a lot of them have genuine talents, but only BTS satisfied my preference. Not all armys but I can say that majority of us only listen to BTS cause those boys are not just insanely talented artists but humble and sweet people as well, especially to armys 💜
i love it when people talk about how awesome bts is, but when they cross the line and start saying bts is better than everyone else pisses me off, obviously their fans will say that no one compares to them, yeah I'm a fan of bts and also of blackpink, in fact I've been a fan of blackpink the longest, since 2016 and bts since 2018, you don't have to keep comparing all the time wanting to know who is better, for the love of god
A nice other group is one ok rock ( Japanese band ) all of them are talented af from the singer to the drummer , etc, they are incredible live. Their performance of their song “we are “ for the 18 fes , is SO good , one in a lifetime. Highly recommend it. They were supposed to collab with linkin park ( one of their inspirations ) but the tragical event happened.
They didn't even get proper days for rehearsal because of health issues ( because of covid ), whole group practice was just one day rehearsal had it. Still they nailed it... That jacket concept was very risky but BTS really nailing it.
Another good live performance is MMA 2019 Dionysus. Also performance at wembley stadium Dionysus and Not today back to back performance, that was a good one
I'm ARMY and Blink too and I love both groups so much, I don't know why the people in the comments are all so mad,, they act like Blackpink is doing it on their own until , blackpink go out and talk about it once that their company doesn't allow them to write their songs even though they co-wrote many of their songs and not only blackpink, most K-pop groups don't write their own songs i don't know why you are only against blackpink, thank god BTS has a good company so they write and produce their own songs themselves.
"If you listen to BTS, the only thing you listen to is BTS" hahaha man I could! They have over 300 songs of an enviable variety, but even though they are my all time favorite artists, I also listen to many other artists, and to be honest, BTS opened my mind to this, as they work with many genres and styles, I started listening to other artists of that genre, like rap. I recommend you NEFFEX songs, he is an amazing rapper (who one day I would like to see doing a feat with these guys!)
Just binge watch your 3 BTS reactions and subscribe to your channel!! BTS are amazing performers! You should really react to the Taylor’s video and you will know they are nothing like a typical “boy band”. BTS and Blackpink are completely different type of group not even a little bit in common. Some other BTS songs you may to add to the list (there are a lot to choose from): On kinematic manifesto, Idol, Fake Love, Fire, Live Festa 2021…if you Rap maybe check out Tear live performance, Daechwita (Suga solo), Ugh
No offense but after knowing BTS it's really hard to listen to blackpink there songs, lyrics doesn't make sense to me. Am sorry but that's just my opinion.
To be honest I don't listen to k pop especially Girls group not for me Just a bop it's empty, but when it's comes to BTS I just love their music Gives me hope, inspiration , to love who I am accepting my mistake cz that's makes me who I am ,,,I can listen to BTS song 24/7 playlist for 3hrs and yet not enough fo me as not boring at all & for the other music I only listened to soft rock song 70's 80's 90's...you nice keep going
I used to really like Black Pink, their earlier songs "Stay" and "Playing with Fire" are their best tracks, lately though all of their music has been sounding the same. Please don't be mislead though, being a fan of one Korean artist doesn't automatically make a person a fan of Kpop. A lot of people make this assumption when it comes to BTS, and it isn't always the case.
@@jerseygirl6221 agree. Whistle is so superior. But ever since dddd, they have been sticking to same sound n concept which i am the baddest girls. I cant take them serious anymore. They seem just staying together n make occasional cb because its make them money n getting luxury brand deals.
As already stated I’m not a fan of BP, heard them first and they turned me off from KPOP then listened to BTS it’s a whole different experience. I fell in love with BTS at first listen. Decided to try other Kpop groups and I was sadly very very disappointed. To be honest I’m not a fan of Kpop just a total fan of BTS anything they do I love it. True musicians.
Same, I grew up in the 80's and I have listened to BTS daily since 2020. I rarely listen to other music.
Hahaha me too!
This is me!
Me, too!
Same here……for the most part
Can't recommend another group like BTS because there are no other group like BTS.
Y’all need to see their 2019 MMA (award show) performance. It’s a bit longer but please don’t split it up, we’ll watch it all. It’s an iconic performance.
Definitely!!!!!!!!!
(award show) LMAOO You had specify XD
@@NaBi_1307 considering how many people call it a concert while watching, I do like to point out it’s not.
Their passion is music and what they do, so they enjoy creating and performing; while they even give us true works of art.
yes and even army's that do listen to other kpop loves BTS the most. they are the kings.
Fact about this performance is that
They only get 1day rehearsal for this performance as a whole group because 2 members were covid positive and 1 member had a surgery in his finger (the one who was sitting in control room type set)
@@arterobl39 Same! Thanks for commenting!
I am ARMY,would you mind checking One Ok Rock a Japanese band
It is unreal but yh i listen to mainly listen BTS and Straykids.
i only listen to BTS since i discovered them (2018).. their discography is massive 💜
i mostly listen to BTS because they cover a lot of genres. 😌
Bp is no a bad joke
I feel you...don't care about others, I am here for BTS and BTS ONLY💜
i tried to listen to their songs but only liked 2 or 3
@@kookiemuncher257 same thing!
I only listen to BTS every day every chance I get - at home, in my car and at work! That’s how good their music are.
Fun fact: they practiced this performance as a whole for 1 day only, the day before the grammys
No, I don't listen to Blackpink (their content is void of any substance). BTS is the only group/artist worth my time. 💜💜💜
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
💜
Well you said everything I was going to say, but better...ty 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
The jacket trick was done before by Jimin and JK in their dance cover to "Black and White".
@@julieharris4700 I love that performance.
You should definitely react to the guide by Taylor, and there is no need to cut it into two parts, armys will watch even for hours. (I have personally watched a 5 hour reaction)
I know right, we ARMY don't care about length of videos. I too have watched a 5 hour reaction before. I wonder if it was the same video. LOL.
Seb going though all the MVs? Yeah I’ve watched some super long ones as well. Bring it on!
@@tenibitz1853 yeah, that one and thatssokelvi (I think he was called) watching all the mvs
@@yoongistangerine5564 Yes, I've watched both of those ones too.
Me too!! 😂 we love long video
- Taylor's intro is an absolute yes!
- V was "flirting" with Olivia Rodrigo
- Jungkook came down from the ceiling (total adrenalin junkie so he's probably having the time of his life up there 😅)
- Jin had injured his hand and couldn’t do the dance break moves. That's why he was placed in a "control room". He joined them after the dance break though. He also had to sit on a chair during their Las Vegas concerts following the Grammys or risk having a second surgery. He almost complied. 😏
- Their MMA 2019 award show performance is EPIC! It's also 38 minutes though. Attack On Bangtan live is amazing and also their adaptation of J. Cole's Born Sinner called Born Singer and Fire and Magic Shop and.....

As an Army I listen to mostly BTS lol mainly because of their massive discography which covers genres for any mood. But I like almost all music as a child of the 90s. If you are looking for something Korean check out these 3 artists.
Epik High - Rosario, No Thanxxx
Jessi - Star, Nunu Nana
Tiger Jk - Love Peace, Bang Diggy Bang Bang
1.if you want a loyal following from the ARMYs never ever compare them to other kpop groups, especially not BP, who dont even write their own music
2.dont split longer videos incl. Taylor's guide
3.i dont listen to BTS for only happy vibes, I cried for more than a couple of their songs
4. I listen to a lot of other artists, mainly european metal, symphonic metal like Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Sabaton
5. BTS rapline taught me to appreciate hip hop and rap, specifically the cadence and flow in Daechwitta (agustD/SUGA's solo) was a revelation for me
There are new bts reactors who understand this and they can get half a mill views because of it.
agree no one can compare to bts they are the upgraded version of kpop in my opinion
Hey I’m also a Nightwish fan 💜
👍💯
Thanks for the reaction! Since the first time I have listened to BTS in my 40s, they are the only artist I listen to everyday now. BTS completely changed my music life. I also love jazz, especially piano trio such as Bill Evans and Hiromi Uehara. I also like Butch Walker, Richie Kotzen, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Utada Hikaru, Holly Cole etc.
*BTS IS A GENRE*
*THEY CAN DO ANY GENRE not Like other IDOL/Artist outhere*
"What's up with the cards?" This performance was held at the Las Vegas MGM.
I listen to all kinds of music, but my happy place is with BTS...plus they really tug at my heartstrings depending on what mood I'm in. 😭💜
YG artist are manufactured, controlled no discipline either.
Fun fact. when V whispered in Olivias ear, all he said was "blah blah" LOL
While they were announcing bts will perform jungkook was already chilling up there on the celling standing on the thin hook waiting for them to finish 😂😂😂 he loves dangerous things btw he enjoy it
The names and ages
Basically they are 25-30
Jin (1992)
Suga (1993)
Rm (1994)
Jhope (1994)
Jimin (1995)
V (1995)
Jungkook (1997 )
Bts are not your typical kpop group they are artist they make their own music and even their b-side tracks are all amazing
Whispers: "it's magic"
Yes, yes they are!💜😄 Thanks for reacting guys!
People can mention who they want. Please don't tell them what to do or think, BTS would definitely not approve.
They can mention but there is no need to compare..Comparison starts fanwars..
👍
BTS SHOULD HAVE WON AT THE GRAMMY
i've listened to a few songs by different kpop groups, but bts is always my #1 they are on a different level 💜
When you do Taylor's video, please do it all in one go. We love this introduction and breaking up the video doesn't do it justice.
Will have Reaction video to "A Guide to BTS Members" by Taylor will be out on Tuesday 9/20 🎉 video is processing 🫡

I listen to only bts in kpop like they are just different
who do i listen to aside from bts? in my teens and 20s but still on rotation depending on my mood: weezer, blur, smashing pumpkins, ratm, nine inch nails, coheed, muse, radiohead, head automatica, lcd soundsys. more recent discoveries (hubby's influence): polyphia, jacob collier, snarky puppy, cory wong. i was never a rap or hip-hop fan before bts (obviously), so i guess you could say that the only rap or hip-hop i listen to is from the bts rapline. i learned to appreciate rap because of them. their flows are incredibly satisfying to listen to. you should check out the live performances of outro: tear, ugh, born singer, and the cypher medley live. as for the rappers' solo stuff, start with the official music videos of Daechwita, Joke, and Arson. you'll be pleasantly surprised, i promise ☺
edit: i'm not a big pop fan either and the only other "boyband" artist on my playlist is justin timberlake. so i guess you could also say that bts is pretty much the only other pop group i listen to. but they've covered so many genres across their 300+ song discography, it's a bit disingenuous to call them just a pop group or boyband.
What a great comment
Never stopped listening to them since Dynamite 2020. I must start the day listening them. Intermittently I have also come to fall in love with other Kpop groups and solo artists who sing the most beautiful sound tracks to the K-dramas I also started watching because of BTS. 💜🇳🇦OT7
yessssss plz watch the guide to the members and some more of their lives!
You so right when you start to listen to BTS , is only them lol BTS have already every genre then I don’t need nothing else .. thank for you reactions
Cool reaction. Please don't break up their intro video. Armys will watch, no matter the length. 💜
Not Blackpink but other kpop artists yes, BTS is my main artist kpop or any other genres..! BTS is IT!
BTS/ARMY SINCE 2017! JUST STANNING BTS 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I know you probably know the guys by now, but just to contribute:
At the computers - JIN
Coming down on thr hook - JUNGKOOK
Talking to Olivia Rodrigo and tossing his card - V
Guy to "look in the mirror" - JIMIN
Lead dancer of the jacket guitar sequence - J-HOPE
Rapper with the swag and jacket over the shoulder - SUGA
Leader and rapper in the coat with the men in black - RM
This performance is iconic.
And if you DO, a word to the wise, we hate comparisons to those groups more than comparisons to western boy bands...😬😅
Not to be that person but Blackpink are CRIMINALLY overrated.
Yup... Once you listen BTS
You only listen BTS 😁💜
Few other songs I like (that aren’t BTS):
-Sexy Nukim by Balming Tiger (ft. RM of BTS) (just came out a few days ago)
-Gotta Get Back by P1Harmony (ft. Pink Sweat$)
-Doom Du Doom by P1Harmony
-Sorry by The Rose
-She’s in the Rain by The Rose
-Lazy by Woosung (leader of The Rose)
-Don’t Miss You by Eric Nam
-Wind by Mamamoo
-Maria by Mamamoo
-Wonderland by AleXa
-Dice by ONEW
-The Chance of Love by TVXQ
-Butterfly by BTOB
-Beautiful Pain by BTOB
-Work Work by Lee Jin Hyuk
-Tippy Toes by XG
-Somethibg by TVXQ
-Easier by Amber
-Dingga by Mamamoo
-Got my Number by Monsta X
-Who do You Love by Monsta X
-Happy Without You by Monsta X
-Her by Block B
-BOMB by Ravi, San E
This performance was epic! BTS army rocks!! They are amazing
At this point no one giving that much Amazing stage performance like BTS.
There level are unmatched
Fun fact - bts used the grammy venue for extra live view screenings of their Las Vegas stadium concert, where they sold out 4 nights
I listen mostly to BTS. Pls react to the guide to BTS by Taylor.
Butter was in an ad for McDonald’s and other ads or probably heard it in a store bc it was on billboard for like 5 consecutive weeks
Borahae 💜
the groups that i like are BTS and MAMAMOO ,the vocal queens, you can check them if you want
Songs:
the truth untold, your eyes tell, jamais-vu, magic shop.
Mnet likes to block performances, but yes that is a good performance.
@@crystalsnow1138 i dont think this one gets blocked so many people reacted without problems as theyre still on youtube without altering.
Dimash is a must. THE best male vocalist on the planet. He is just on a completely different & higher level. He's fantastic.
6:11 😂😂
It’s magic 🪄
..It’s the cards😮
😂😂
BTS FESTA 2021
BTS Outro: Tear
BTS Daeng
BTS Ugh
Suga Daechwita
Jhope Hangsang
I recommend you NEFFEX songs, he is an amazing rapper (who one day I would like to see doing a feat with these guys!)
i watched the behind the scenes for this performance and they really through that card it took awhile for the two to get it down.
BTS is my go to group for everything, but I also love TXT, Tray Kids, Blackpink, Mamamoo. Kpop is big.
I'm a BTS Army. They are the group I listen to the most.
Looking forward for more BTS reaction 💜
No offense but after knowing BTS it's really hard to listen to blackpink there songs, lyrics doesn't make sense to me. Am sorry but that's just my opinion.
You should check the rehearsal to see them talking about the card throwing!
Just wanna say this is the simpliest dance choreo they have
To be honest I don't listen to k pop especially Girls group not for me
Just a bop it's empty, but when it's comes to BTS I just love their music
Gives me hope, inspiration , to love who I am accepting my mistake cz that's makes me who I am ,,,I can listen to BTS song 24/7 playlist for 3hrs and yet not enough fo me as not boring at all & for
the other music I only listened to
soft rock song 70's 80's 90's...you nice keep going
I used to really like Black Pink, their earlier songs "Stay" and "Playing with Fire" are their best tracks, lately though all of their music has been sounding the same.
Please don't be mislead though, being a fan of one Korean artist doesn't automatically make a person a fan of Kpop. A lot of people make this assumption when it comes to BTS, and it isn't always the case.
Same. Whistle is my favorite song by them, 2016-2017 was when their music was the best in my opinion
